When we arrived at the hotel, the first impression was shock. The room is tiny, poor plumbing, the toilet lid (sorry) does not hold in the open position, when landing (sorry again) lies on its back. There is no hair dryer, air conditioning is paid - 2 euros per day. They gave out a bar of soap (tiny, hotel) for 2 people for a week. Towels were changed only once a week, the room was cleaned irregularly. We were also "lucky" in that the windows of our room looked exactly at the windows of some hostel, or a rooming house with numerous families living there. In short, round-the-clock hubbub, screaming, noise. Add to this the 24-hour cafes in each building - respectively, music, the smell of the kitchen, songs, dances, etc. I want to say separately about food. Thank God that we only had breakfasts and dinners, and my stomach simply could not stand lunch. I don't know, maybe I'm being picky. But for those who are not accustomed to eating cereal with skim milk for breakfast every day, it is better not to go there. The breakfast menu hasn't changed even once. . For dinner, they offered vegetables, rice, mashed potatoes of a strange color and texture, grilled chicken thighs, something like our pasta navy (a la lasagna), drinks for dinner (even water! ) - for a fee. Conclusion: if you live in a hotel, pay attention to where the windows go, do not eat - it's easier to go to one of the many cafes, the money will be approximately the same. Better yet, stock up at the supermarket - the prices are absolutely reasonable, the choice is rich, fruits and vegetables are cheap. The only plus of the hotel is the location. You can easily get to the center of Heraklion by public transport and see everything that interests you, including Knonsus. By the way, it is better to buy excursions on the street in desks - it comes out much cheaper than in a hotel.
