We chose a budget option for a mom and three children.
To be close to the sea, so that the sea is clean, the beach is not oversaturated - and that's all we got. Sunbeds/umbrellas were not rented. They brought a beach tent with them. The beach is public, rather littered (I recalled Crimea and Krasnodar) - half of the beach is not very garbage, and 10 meters from the shore everything is lying around - from lost things to construction debris. Cretans walking their dogs on the beach, sometimes with scoops and bags, is a common sight.
We did not expect special miracles from the three-ruble note. Therefore, there was no particular disappointment. Tour from the Greek tour operator Mouzenidis - I recommend it to everyone, the attitude towards you will be special. Early arrival and check-in at 9 am, late departure - there is no loss in days (by the way, on the day of departure we extended our stay in the room until the night for 20 euros - they handed it over to the owner of the hotel). At the visa center you are accepted without a queue, etc. Solid pluses.

The hotel itself, I repeat, is a standard three-ruble note. We had a room 124 Apartment 2 Brooms - two-room, in each room there are 2 beds, but in one they are separate, and in the other they are shifted together (in general, the most well-located two-room rooms - 123 - 126 - windows into the courtyard, the first floor in the shade , balconies). The room has a small kitchen. There are pots and utensils for two in the cupboards. Those who wish are given cooking surfaces. The room is very modestly furnished, the furniture is pretty worn, the mattresses are moderately old, the pillows are small, dense and uncomfortable, one per bed. The combined bathroom did not close in any way, the handle periodically jumped out, the plumbing is very cheap and battered (the seat on the toilet is dark yellow from time to time). From hygiene products, we were given a small bar of soap. one and forever)) Nothing, in the shop opposite the hotel we bought everything we needed. In general, shops and supermarkets are run by very nice and friendly people, they are not averse to chatting in English. In general, the room is not dirty, they wiped it every day, the linen was changed every three days, no one wiped the dust (itself, as soon as I moved in I wiped everything and forgot). From the room there is a feeling of some kind of neglect in general, some ownerlessness - it seems to be generally clean, but the air conditioner is rewound with tape, the locks are rusty, the dryer on the balcony falls out of the wall with screws. As if everything was done by the master Koekak or Maybe it will do. The territory of the hotel is well-groomed. Kostas (owner) runs around all day, spinning, and the master's hand is not visible in the rooms. There is a Russian-speaking guide Yana in the hotel around the clock - you can contact her with requests to fix something, but it will not bring results - it is better to immediately go to Kostas, he is always at the hotel, either busy with something, helping the staff, or chatting with the children - pleasant enough nimble, enterprising Greek). But no one with whom I talked, the heck was not installed in the toilet)). When we left, Yana spoke. What leaves Mouzenidis. They say they pay little. In fact, the income of hotel guides depends on the number of excursions sold, and excursions are very expensive, and selling a lot of them in three rubles is too tough for anyone. For example, a one-day excursion to Santorini with a flight by plane costs 160 euros - regardless of age. We went on one excursion to the cave of Zeus, it cost 180 euros for 1 adult, 1 teenager and 2 children. The bus will take you to the mountains to a height of almost 1000 meters, along a serpentine, very beautiful views of mountains, lakes, gorges, you will see the Lassithi mountain plateau - a reserve in which many crops are grown for sale. Moreover, as in all reserves, this is prohibited, but at the cost of a fine once every three years, all this economy is flourishing. If George is your guide, you will be very lucky. A wonderful intelligent person, with a good speech and a subtle sense of humor. After this excursion, I realized that I knew and fell in love with Crete.
Near the hotel there are several attractions within walking distance - I recommend downloading the MyCreeteGuide application - very useful thing, it works without the Internet as a navigator, by geolocation. Caves, ruins, a church in the rocks - you must go.
The food at the hotel is very modest, do not expect to be pampered with variety. But they won’t leave you hungry)) For breakfast, an omelette with the inclusion of vegetables left over from dinner and a lot of flour, a puff pastry pie with spinach, a ready-made cake, croutons, milk, cereal, fresh vegetables, cheap cheese with vegetable fat and pressed sausage, boxes of jam and butter and a jar of Nutella. And soft cottage cheese - they were saved. Everything) Terribly missed scrambled eggs and boiled eggs. For lunch there will always be fried / boiled potatoes, one type of boiled vegetables, pasta, meat (most often pork) - either in pieces / cutlets, or in pasta, twice in 12 days there was fish (macrorus, fillet baked in its own juice : ) ) Always - fresh vegetables and green salad and onion rings, two types of salad with mayonnaise and 1 type of fruit (or fruit jelly). For the first 5 days, soup was given for dinner, then there were more Russian-speakers - they moved it for lunch)) soup in broth with starch and pasta or with tomato paste. In general, there are several taverns near the hotel where you can enjoy the delights of Greek cuisine)).
The territory of the hotel is small, a small pool, a tiny playground. Everything is set very tightly.
They didn’t rent a car - local drivers drive sooooo dumbly, hardly noticing each other and pedestrians, they don’t suspect the existence of turn signals at all.

The hotel has one feature - they accept social groups of adults with developmental delays, 15-20 people plus accompanying social workers and volunteers. English and Greek groups came with us, one replaced the other. This is all good, but it brings a certain color to the rest, and it must be taken into account when choosing a holiday - not all Russian citizens and their children are ready for this.
The contingent of the hotel - Greeks, Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians, Moldovans. Romanians. Czechs.
We talked with neighbors along the coast, found out that not far from our hotel there is a very worthy three-ruble note Karteros 3 *, folks. Spoiled by fours and fives, he recommended it. There the owner is Greek, and his wife is Russian. Externally, the hotel is very nice, although it is located on two roads.
I wish you all successful travels, get maximum pleasure and not let annoying little things spoil your mood)
