Good day to all!
Last night we returned from Crete, rested at the hotel "Lyttos Beach". I can recommend this hotel to everyone who does not want to go far from Heraklion airport. A very worthy four!
The food is wonderful - every day for breakfast freshly baked small buns, pancakes, pancakes, omelettes, muesli flakes, scrambled eggs and sausage cheeses, porridge and yoghurts with additives. Coffee-cocoa-cappuccino from machines, tea (bags or custard), milk-fruit shakes (smoosies) every other day freshly squeezed orange juice.
Lunch - different meat (pork, beef, chicken, lamb, turkey, duck even was) both stewed and grilled, two types of fish, seasonal vegetables for garnish, for lovers there are french fries and rice, and stewed vegetables, and salads with mayonnaise. For lunch and dinner, bottled white, rose, red wine, beer. Sweets (almost like Turkish) - cakes, jellies, pastries. From fruits - watermelon, melon, grapefruit, orange, banana, apricot, apple.

Dinner is always themed - Italian (pasta), Mediterranean (seafood), Latino (paella), Asian (sushi), Greek (moussaka), etc. For lunch and dinner, you can go to a tavern on the seashore, sign up for a tavern in advance, there are fewer places than in a restaurant.
The quality of the food at the hotel is excellent, the service is at a good level. In the pool bar from 11 to 17 fresh three types of pizza, ice cream (5 varieties) and soft drinks - self-service, you take as much as you want.
Good quality alcohol. We didn’t take a local one, my husband drank Ballantines whiskey, I took a martini or dry champagne, my friends drank metaxa and took cocktails - everyone is alive and well.
Everything about food, now about the hotel - the territory is chic, large and well-groomed. For children (we have two 11 and 5 years old) there is an excellent playground and a swimming pool with three wonderful slides (lifeguards are on duty near the pools and at the exit site from the slides from 10 to 18). For younger peanuts there is a paddling pool with small slides. The buildings are two-three-story with terraces, there are mosquito nets. There are two Russian channels on TV - news and RTR planet. The minibar is empty. We bought packs of water in Hersonissos. The hotel has a mini market with everything you need.
Rooms are cleaned daily, towels are changed as you like - throw it on the floor - change it, don't throw it, leave the same. Linen is changed every three days.
A little about the beach... The beach is private (it turned out to be a rarity in Crete), umbrellas, sunbeds and towels - free of charge (in neighboring hotels two sunbeds and an umbrella - 6 euros). The beach itself is sandy, but the entrance to the sea with stones. We went swimming to the right of the pier, you can go there without special shoes, to the left of the pier you can’t just go in, you need special slippers, a lot of stones and hedgehogs in the stones. There was a storm twice in two weeks, a red flag hung and it was impossible to swim. There is a lifeguard on duty at the beach.

Further, about the animation - it was strange that with the population of the hotel by Russian-speaking citizens, 60% of the animation is designed for Germans. There are no Russian speakers among the animators themselves - Germans, Italians, a Pole and a Dutch woman. There are two Moldovan girls in the miniclub who speak Russian. Evening shows - 100% amateur, but the guys are trying very hard.
About the availability of the Internet - in the rooms, as it is positioned on the hotel website, there is no WIFI network. The Internet is available at the reception, in the pullbar (by the pool) and in the piano bar (near the restaurant), the access code hangs at the reception.
About excursions - taking a guide, of course, is very expensive, there is an option to walk from the hotel along the promenade to the left and take excursions 30-40% cheaper, but in Greek or English. We regretted that we did not take Santorini and Gramvusa from them, it would be very profitable - almost 200 euros savings for 2 adults and 2 children. Lunches on large excursions are not included in the price (not Turkey !!! ), a meal for four is 35 - 50 euros (a full meal). We also rented a car for three days (we took it from the representative of our guide, but you can rent it cheaper from the street, save 50-100 euros at least). We took Pezhulka 307 (80 euros per day) - we ourselves looked at the Palace of Knossos, the cave of Zeus, the Lassithi plateau and Agios Nikolaos. We went to Malia, Heraklion and Hersonissos. You can get to Hersonissos by taxi (call from the reception - 8 euros one way).
Sorry, the review turned out to be very long, but detailed... In general, we really liked both Crete and the hotel. I recommend the hotel to families with children, there are a lot of children in the hotel.
Happy holidays everyone!
