The tour was booked before the end of January at the hotel Dessole Malia Beach 4 * (joined the hotel chain from Pegasus). We flew at 8.00 from Boryspil on 01.05. In 2013, the airline "Wind Rose" 2 hours and 35 minutes. Everything is well organized and comfortable. The transfer was about an hour, we were fourth on board. Arrived at the hotel, greeted very cheerfully (the hospitality of the Greeks struck at every turn). There were soft drinks for everyone at the reception, it took 10 minutes to register, we were given the keys. Rooms have simple TVs and separate plasma TVs.

And we went to the room. The room had a direct sea view on the 3rd floor № 67 near the reception. Everything is clean, civil, three towels at everyone's disposal. Cleaned daily, changed towels every 2-3 days, left 1.5 bottles of water almost daily. The furniture in the room is not new, but cozy.
One downside is the audibility of neighbors.

Food. This is a separate topic. Everything is very tasty. Greek salad I had constantly. I have nothing to compare with, but the food was incomparable. Breakfasts, lunches, dinners are very tasty. The variety of dishes is always fresh. For breakfast they gave appetizing and delicious yogurts, always eggs, omelets, buns, croissants, salads, pastries, bread, sausage, cheese, FETA, sweets, fruits (grapefruit 2 varieties, oranges, apples, kiwi, pears after May 5 - gave arbu , melon, pineapple), dried fruits (very tasty), canned - peaches, cargo, apricots) oatmeal. Lunches and dinners are even more varied. I don't know how to stay hungry or choose nothing.
Be sure not to forget when settling coupons for 2 themed dinners - Chinese and fish. The Chinese were not particularly surprised - there was noodles and a couple of Chinese salads in addition to traditional wedding dishes.
But the fish dinner is beyond praise.
Many fish - pike perch, sardines, trout, salmon, mussels, shrimp, oysters, cuttlefish ……. delicacies (I confirm with photos).
Between breakfast and dinner there were delicious kebabs with cakes. And also ice cream and cake)
Alcohol - vodka, cognac - metaxa, wine - red, white, pink, cocktails - for the amateur.
Sea.
The sea is transparent. Since May 1, I have been swimming freely. It was cool to go in a few times, but then I got used to it. The water was somewhere around 20 degrees. But very transparent and small fish can be seen, and in the fireplace crabs. On the right side of the beach there are stones in the water, you can walk a little on the beach to the left. There were always enough sunbeds, there were never any problems.
There are also 2 swimming pools - with sea and fresh water.
Territory area of ​ ​ †‹вЂ‹ the hotel is large, there is a place to turn, walk, green, grow dandelions, palm trees, cacti, flowers.
Near the amphitheater and the pool, there is a playground, I saw animators with children.

Also, someone is worried about their luggage, there are scales at the reception, there is 1 Euro.
Luggage packing at Heraklion Airport - 7 Euros, so calmly take the food wrap and wrap your suitcases.
Malia - a party town, but in early May - everything is just opening, repairing, especially many clubs - still at the opening stage of the season, but the fact that the hotel is quiet, calm, went outside, walked 100-300 meters and you are in the center of events.
Summary - the hotel left only positive emotions. Malia is a very nice and fun town. The desire to go back is very strong, although I am a fan of diversity.
