We had a family vacation in Arminda from June 6 to 20.2012. I liked the hotel. It corresponds to the price-quality ratio. Friendly staff. Good beautiful area. Good rooms (we lived in Family IV, 2 adults and a 5-year-old child, there is enough space. But the standards are small, it is better for a family to take).
The hotel has 2 swimming pools with sea chlorinated water, quite good. The hotel area is very green!
The food is varied, a lot of meat (chicken, lamb, beef, and pork was also there), there is always fish. Delicious cheeses (with mold, cheese, cottage cheese). There was not much greenery, but in principle it was enough : ) From fruits - only apples, watermelons and a little kiwi. Sweets are delicious - and pastries (light airy), and jelly, and ice cream, and oriental sweets ...I am indifferent to sweets, but at the same time I ate something sweet every day : )

Drinks - instant coffee, I couldn't drink it: (Tea in bags - I didn't like black, but green and herbal ones, you can drink) Juices - soluble, but not sour, you can drink. The child's tummy never hurt) There are still carbonated ones - cola and so on.
Alcohol - all incl includes draft beer, draft wine (white, red and rose). Both beer and wine must be poured on your own. They also have their local spirits - raki, brandy and ouzu. You can pour them yourself only in the snack bar (the upper level of the hotel near the second pool). Import alcohol for an additional fee in two bars - on the roof and in the snack bar. The choice is very good.
The sea is close enough. You can follow the path through the wasteland, or you can go through the neighboring hotel Nana Beach. We walked through the hotel, because the exit to it from our room was closer. Well, it was more pleasant to walk there: ) On the beach, sun loungers are paid, like 10 euros / day. But before 11 am no one comes up, and after 16:00 too. We never paid because
during the day it was very hot on the beach, we did not go. The sea is beautiful - clean, warm enough for June. The child and the husband swam with masks, they say that there are beautiful fish (not like in the Red Sea, of course, but you can also see it). The beach is sandy, the children are a complete paradise, they are digging, building something : ) In the sea, a little deeper, the stones begin, you need to carefully go in so as not to get hurt. In the beach cove to the left there are fewer stones, to the right there are a lot of them.
Animation: For adults - gymnastics, water aerobics, tournaments (water polo, tennis, darts, ... ). In the evenings, we didn’t have much animation, because we got just during the Euro 2012 period, everyone watched football) But there was something - Bingo, Casino (roulette, poker), 2 show programs in 2 weeks were, an evening of live music (the animator himself played the guitar and sang, very cool! ) In general, there is animation, not intrusive and it is enough.
But the children's animation is super! For Russian-speaking children Tukan Club. Animators Poli and Maggie - very, very much.

And they went on a hike with the children (we even managed to do it 2 times), and played pirates, and what just happened. Our child is delighted, now misses them. You can write a lot of praise for this club, there is not enough space : )
Activities outside the hotel - 2 cities that you can go to on foot:
1) Stalis (Stalis) - 15-20 minutes to the left of Arminda. Shops, cafes, car rentals, excursions...
2) Hersonissos - to the right of Arminda, 30-40 minutes. Everything is the same as in Stalis, but there are also clubs. We did not go to them, because we rested with the child.
Prices for souvenirs in Stalida are lower, but there is less choice. Although we bought everything we wanted.

Separately, I want to write about car rental. They have 2 types of insurance - 50% and 100%_full insurance. So, even in the most super-duper complete one, vandalism is not included (if your windows are broken in the parking lot, then insurance does not cover it). Nobody warns about this. But I haven't heard of any. We were warned about this "not included" on the day when the car was already taken.
But we did not pay extra at our own peril and risk, we parked the car in Arminda's parking lot, nothing happened. And yet, when paying for car rental with a VISA card, we were charged 23% tax. We argued for a long time, some of the money was returned.
The rental through which we rented a car in Stalis is Caravel. The cars are not very new, and heavily sealed with their logo (we have not seen this with other distributors). I do not recommend this rental. In the evening, Russian-speaking Pasha sits there, lures everyone, and in the morning, when you take a car, he is no longer there, and the Greek woman tells you in English about all the pitfalls : (
There is a rental across the street from Arminda, it is right next to the shop, on the right, the logo is green and yellow, sort of. There are a couple, husband and wife, very nice. And the family who stayed with us at the hotel said that they were satisfied with this car rental company.
By car, we went only to the east, we reached the palm beach, we liked it.
Then the child refused to drive around the island and we no longer took the car.

We went on our own to Santorini, with an overnight stay. I booked the hotel on booking, Irini's Villas (I read it in someone's reviews), I liked it very, very much! I want to go back there, but already for 3-4 days, there were very few incomplete 2 days. I can’t imagine how with a 1-day excursion.

You can write about the rest for a long time and a lot, but in a nutshell, it seems to have outlined everything. I would like to return to Arminda.
