But a couple of taverns work, a cafe too. I really liked the Captain tavern (delicious fresh seafood) and kokoras (chicken meat dishes, the portions are huge, simple. We ordered a salad, you can eat one salad). We tried the local fast food gyros, which many people write about, not bad, very satisfying and inexpensive.
At the hotel, we only had breakfasts, quite decent, there is a choice: scrambled eggs, sausages, sausages and cheese, salads, cereals, yogurt, puff pies, croissants, buns, tea, coffee, juice. Very tasty, the place of the restaurant is small, in good weather you can have breakfast on the veranda.
The hotel is small, compact, there is no territory of its own, only a small veranda in front of the entrance and a small courtyard behind the hotel, where houses are located. We somehow didn’t go there, we lived in the main building on the second floor. View of the road and neighboring buildings, the road is calm, there are few cars, we slept well.
Comfortable mattress and pillows, standard room, nothing special: bed, bedside tables, table, wardrobe. On cold days, the air conditioner was turned on for heat, the room warmed up well, the safe was not used. There is a hairdryer, an electric kettle, TVs are funny, really. Internet signal is good. Clean, took out the trash and cleaned every day.
The beach is urban, in some places the sun loungers are still standing, the water is already cool, although the local daredevils swam.
In general, that's all, a small cozy hotel of the urban type, located in a calm, quiet village. And yes, a pleasant atmosphere reigns there, a cheerful and hospitable hostess Maria met us and Elena - the representative of Mouzenidis. Thank them. And so they took a car for almost the entire period of rest and rode around Greece on their own: Olympus, Meteora, Aridea, Sithonia, Pella, Thessaloniki, etc. They didn’t dare to go to Athens, but I really wanted to visit. Well then, next time.
We had only breakfast included, it was always very tasty, with a choice of dishes. In the evening there was also the opportunity to have a cup of coffee or tea. One evening we attended a concert of a musical duet, where guests were treated to wine and fruit. It was just great! This is a short summary of the hotel. Now about the other realities of the holiday: the beach is a 5-minute walk, very long. You choose the conditions at your own discretion: either for 3.5-6 euros (which includes a drink) a deck chair with an umbrella, or you arrange comfort for yourself: you buy an umbrella (from 7.5 euros) and take a towel at the hotel on bail. The sea is simply fabulous - "blue flag", and we were lucky with the weather: +26 and water +22.
There were no problems with lunch and dinner either, taverns and shops at every step. Our hotel guide Anna was also attentive to us, we went on 2 excursions: to Thessaloniki and to Meteora, we liked everything very much, everything is very impressive. We can say with confidence that the rest was 100% successful. We recommend the hotel to those vacationers who love comfort in everything. Many thanks to Maria, Eva, Rimma and all the wonderful staff! If possible, we will definitely come here again.
Internet is free, safe is free on site and in rooms. All rooms have slippers, hair dryers, kettle, water on arrival and iron on request.
Very friendly and helpful hotel staff.
The beach is 100 meters from the hotel. Clean, sunbeds are free, just order any drink.
From Greece there were only positive impressions, they were satisfied with their choice of hotel and location.
I'll start by saying that everything described is true. The hotel is very nice. Small but cozy. All living in it at that time, our compatriots. I believe the hotel was full.
Arrival and dinner.
Upon arrival, we were met by Diana, the daughter of the owner of the hotel. We were given a key and told where the room was. We had to carry the suitcases ourselves, I never saw men in service. But this is not a problem, because even though the hotel is 3-storey, there is an elevator.
Having settled in, we went for dinner to the Pirates tavern with a special leaflet indicating which hotel we were from and for how long we arrived. (The hotel only serves breakfast). The menu is permanent. From each category, you can choose one dish + drink: soup (out of 3, one type is available), salad / pate, side dish, meat / fish (meat already with a small amount of side dish, which is not indicated in the menu), gas . drinks, 3 types of wine. Take gas. drink and wine will not work, just one thing.
The first 3 days we still tried to experiment, order different things, but in the end we decided that moussaka and fish were not impressive, the soup was primitive, salad can be called, in our understanding, only from cucumbers and tomatoes.
There were attempts to eat in other places, but this is not here, this is a review about the hotel.
Breakfasts.
There is something to enjoy. Buffet: cereal, jams, the same normal salad of cucumbers and tomatoes, scrambled eggs, sausages, once even saw pasta, toast, one type of fruit (apples, melon, watermelon), pastries, something like cheesecake. There is a coffee machine and juice containers. Breakfast from 8 to 10.
Number.
Cleaned every day, towels changed. By the way, there are only 2 per person, bath and small.
On the 2nd day, for some reason, we changed the blankets, which were not simpler in quality. With what it is connected did not find out. Linen was changed 3 times during our stay.
The room itself is compact. A standard set of furniture, an exaggerated TV with a Russian channel, an air conditioner, a free safe, a dryer on the balcony. The view from the window is on the house opposite, but, going out to the balcony, you can see a piece of the sea. (Which is strange, I did not smell the sea there. In general)
A teaspoon of tar - very thin walls. You can hear everything, and how the toilet is flushed (sorry), and how the neighbors quarrel.
Guide.
Every day at the hotel at certain hours there is a guide Elena. She gives a printout of possible excursions
Wi-Fi.
There is a free one. It catches everywhere. There is a password card in the room. In addition, in the tavern, the cool boys-waiters shared their Wi-Fi.
Departure.
Departure from the hotel was scheduled for 5.50 am, so packages with dry rations (a sandwich, juice and an apple) were waiting for us at the reception.
We woke up ourselves, no one came to kick us out. There was not even a standard room check.
Sitting in a minivan, each room received a bottle of local red wine as a souvenir from the hostess of the hotel.
In general, the vacation went well.
The new apart-hotel is equipped in a residential building and is located in the center of the village next to the park. Resting there, I had the feeling that I was local and just came to take a breath before the start of a new work "race" - a very pleasant feeling! ? The apartments feel the spirit of Mary - everything is as stylish, tasteful and caring as in Aqua Mare. The hostess herself often visited us to find out if everything was in order, whether we were satisfied with everything, and just to chat? we love this stuff ; -)
Everything in the room itself is new, rooms with a stylish design. I had a room without a balcony, but the window opened, there is a slight inconvenience in this, otherwise everything is fine. Air conditioning worked, new linens and an awesome mattress! ? The window overlooked the town square, but still there was no noise.
Nearby was a cafe-diner where the most delicious gyro is sold. A lot of souvenir shops, bars, a supermarket - everything is within walking distance. There is also a pedestrian street nearby, on which there are a lot of people in the evening, everything is active and you will not be bored, even if you are relaxing alone! You won't go hungry either - there are many taverns, small restaurants and cafes in the village. In many I was recognized, which, of course, is very pleasant? Oh, I also advise everyone to eat ice cream here - you will lick your fingers! ?
To the sea, walk a maximum of 50 meters, the beach is sandy. As in many hotels in Greece, sun loungers and umbrellas for a drink on the beach at the beach bar. The beach is quite crowded, but, nevertheless, everything is always brought quickly and is it comfortable enough?
In general, I advise everyone to Greece, to everyone in Kallikratia?
The island part has been familiar to me since 2002, I once rested in Pieria and the Peloponnese, it's time to get acquainted with Halkidiki. We bought a tour to the Bomo Club Aqua Mare hotel, in the town of Nea Kallikrtia. Literally calculated everything to the smallest detail, so they knew that the airport was not far (30 minutes) and the hotel was in the city. A lightning-fast flight, a short transfer. . . and charming Diana, a girl with a gorgeous smile, meets me with my family. In early July, it is unrealistic to check in right away, which did not upset us, we got our swimwear and went to the beach. In Kallikratia, he is a municipal, free, hotel guide explained what you need, before taking a sunbed, to make an order from the bartender, who descends from the coastal bar. After enjoying the soft waters of the Aegean Sea, we returned to the hotel for the key. The room was given on the third floor, 301 rooms. The room has air conditioning, TV, refrigerator, hair dryer without fail, safe, large comfortable bed. Cleaning was good, towels changed every day, bed linen every three days. I note a good Internet signal. The hotel only has breakfast, there are no complaints about it, the assortment is normal, everything was delicious. Immediately drew attention to the interior of the room, I really wanted to get acquainted with the designer, it turned out to be the hostess Maria, a colorful middle-aged Greek lady. What can I say... talent on the face, every corner is decorated with taste and love. Not only Maria works at the hotel, but also her daughter Eva, we saw her at the reception in the evening.
Now about the town of Kallikratia. Well, sooooooo quiet place and characterized by the lack of discos. On weekends, there is an influx of local people on the beach, but by the evening there are not so many of them. The place is not bad because there are many shops, there are several supermarkets, pizzerias, catering, cafes, bars, taverns. Establishments for every taste and budget, local fast food is naturally cheap, seafood is more expensive, but I can’t call sky-high prices.
We are used to relaxing in this way: both the beach and excursions. This year we opened a new trip Pella - Winery and Agios Nikolas Park, so I advise you to definitely go there. Well, Meteora, of course! We took a car for a couple of days and went to the beaches of Sithonia, the eastern beach of Vourvourou is a fairy tale, you can’t call it otherwise !! ! Yes, and the whole of Greece is one continuous TALE! It's impossible not to come back here!
But most of all I would like to share my impressions of the excursion to the island of Corfu. It all started with a meaningful and very interesting walk-meeting with our hotel guide Melina, after which we bought a tour to one of the most beautiful places in Greece without hesitation. I was also attracted by the fact that the flight was 40 minutes. There was no registration as such, the group was small, everything went at lightning speed and we were already on the plane. The main goal was to get to the temple of Spiridon Trimifunsky. Just our excursion began from this point. It is impossible to describe the emotions that were experienced at the moment of being in the temple, the feelings overwhelmed the soul, but after that came calm and peace. All those in need should definitely ask the Saint, tell about the sore, read a prayer in front of his relics, it helps a lot. No less significant place was the monastery of the Life-Giving Spring. There was a woman in the group with us, who was not the first time in Corfu and told her amazing story after visiting this monastery, but she flew with us with gratitude about what had happened. The architecture of Corfu reminds of Italy from everywhere, sometimes you even begin to believe that you are in another country. It was another confirmation that Greece has everything and its beauties are endless. It will turn out ugly on our part, if we do not mention the wonderful accompanying Maribel, just a charming person, a smart girl and a real professional, despite her age, her mindset and knowledge base impressed even experienced tourists like us. We returned late in the evening, though tired, but satisfied. I liked the island so much that our family will spend the next vacation in September exclusively in Corfu.
