My husband and I stayed at this hotel in September. The priority when choosing a hotel was the absence of children, good service and a closed bay, because. we are resting on Crete not for the first time, we know that the sea may not be calm. Since the hotel does not accept children under 16 years old and is located in the beautiful bay of Mirabelo, our choice fell on it, we were also pleased that the hotel belongs to the Aquila hotel chain, well-known in Greece.
Before the trip, I read reviews where they write about a very small beach and there are not enough sunbeds for everyone, in fact, the situation with the beach is this - the beach is really not big, but in this region where the hotel is located - Elounda, all the beaches are very small, but Elounda is the most beautiful, respectable and green region in Crete. The beach at the hotel is with fine loose sand, very clean, the beach is made in the form of a small bay, Sunbeds - I didn’t see fights, we always had enough sunbeds and umbrellas, but there aren’t many of them on the beach, for some time we wondered how it could be in a fairly large the hotel does not have many sunbeds on the beach? ? The answer is very simple, the hotel is designed for a secluded vacation for couples, and mainly our Russian compatriots sunbathe on the beach, the rest of the tourists sunbathe on sun loungers on their terrace or by the private pool. By the way, there is an entry into the sea along steps carved in stones, we mostly swam there, I even liked it there more than on the beach, which is made in the form of a bay.
The sea is very calm, even in a storm, when in other regions of Crete red flags hung in Mirabelo Bay, you can swim to the envy of other tourists))

Food - the hotel has excellent food, a lot of different dishes, I'm pretty picky about food, but here I didn't deny myself anything)))) The hotel has three restaurants, we visited each of them, the service and food there are at the highest level. In the evening, when the lights are turned on in the hotel, it is very pleasant to sit on the veranda in the restaurant with a beautiful view of the sea,
The hotel, by the way, optionally arranges romantic dinners on the beach, decorates everything with candles, and so on, if you want to surprise and please your missus, I advise you to contact the hotel on this issue)))
Service - The hotel has very friendly staff, they always smile at a meeting, ask how things are and if everything is in order, I was fascinated by them, everything is not intrusive and in a friendly atmosphere.
The territory - the hotel is beautiful, green, there is nowhere to go outside the hotel, the nearest settlement is Elounda, you can go there in the evening, a very pretty place, many taverns and restaurants where you can dine with fresh seafood. We rented a car for a few days and drove around the island.
The hotel has a chic Spa center, I highly recommend visiting it for complete relaxation.
In general, the hotel has a peaceful atmosphere, very quiet, calm, if you like animation as in Turkey, then you are not here.
Summarizing our vacation, I can say that we were delighted with the rest, the hotel fully corresponds to the money spent, it is immediately clear that they are very attentive and caring to their guests. If you want to retire and spend an unforgettable romantic vacation, then you are in the right place!
By the way, the hotel used to belong to another very famous Grecotel chain, the brothers divided the business and some hotels remained with Grecotel, while others became Aquila, like our hotel))
