It takes about an hour to drive from the airport to the hotel. It takes twice as long to travel by transfer, because along the way you will bring everyone. You can take a taxi at the airport, it costs 95 Euros.
The hotel was taken according to early booking promotions - a villa with a pool, HB meals. In the room we were waiting for a fruit basket, champagne and gifts for children (sand kits). We immediately asked what fragrance we prefer for the house (didn’t feel it at all))), when cleaning the room (didn’t follow the wishes even once))), it was possible to choose a pillow (all the information will be in daddy).
Because the villas have constantly heated pools, in May this is the most reliable option for families with children, there is definitely a guarantee that they will be able to swim. In the common pool and the sea, the water is cold, 19-20 degrees.

All villas are built very competently, no one sees each other, there is silence around and birds sing, the sun is all day on the side of the pool. Inside, everything is very thought out, comfortable, there is a bar (for a fee), a coffee machine, a kettle, tea, they bring water and various “complements”. Cleaning is carried out by a team, very quickly, they come when you say.
You can walk around the territory (from mountain to mountain; it’s real with a stroller), you can call a club car, you can move around the main building by elevator or small glass funiculars (sometimes you have to wait).
The beach can only be accessed by stairs, i. e. without a stroller. You have to wait for towels, the service on the beach is slow.
The place is very beautiful and calm, in the hotel half are families with children and pregnant women, half are elderly couples. The hotel managers are very friendly and helpful, many Russian-speaking staff. Arina worked with us, she always helped with everything: book restaurants, spas; everything you need in the room (they took a radio nanny), any questions!
For children: there are two children's pools in the common large pool; a very cool kids club (from 4 months for a fee, and from 4 years for free), you can take a babysitter. In restaurants, there are two types of children's chairs: everyone is given coasters for an adult chair (in my opinion, not very comfortable), you can ask for a familiar high chair, where the child sits at his own table (they are green there).

For us, the only negative in everything was the restaurants: food and service. It seems that they are not in this hotel at all  Everything is very unorganized, there were never places in the general restaurant, all the tables are dirty, you won’t wait for the waiter, you have to ask 3 times, there is a queue to the restaurant. We personally didn't like the food. I read different reviews, I thought that everything is individual, but here we are very loyal, and even then we didn’t like it. The choice is very limited and monotonous, for seafood lovers everything is really sad! Almost all evenings we went to two other restaurants, where, on the menu, a discount at HB 20 Euros for an adult, 10 for a child. It is better there, but very slow service, hot food is brought in 1.5-2 hours, our children fell asleep in armchairs. There was almost no food for children: in the children's menu everything is the same as in the adult, plus spaghetti, chicken and fish (this is in restaurants with a surcharge); on the common table for children it’s not designed at all (since they came specially earlier, to the children’s table declared by them: there were three types of hot (navy-style pasta, katoshka and something else), and vegetables for salad). The procedure is this - you come with the child from 18.30, he eats, you sit nearby, everyone runs around, sets the tables for dinner, nothing is ready by 19, but adults begin to come, "children's" dishes are reversed and the rest, "adult" is added . Every day there is a different cuisine, but somehow we did not notice any difference, except for spiciness (if yesterday the beans were simple, today they are spicy), rice, potatoes or peppered or with lemon - the children did not eat. We ordered a burger with potatoes at the bar - children always like it, but I personally did not like it. Ordered pizza for the kids. From what I liked: a cheese plate (room service and at the Ocean restaurant), at the Ocean restaurant: tuna tartar, ice cream, everything is very tasty. Also find out when which evenings are in restaurants and book immediately (there is “buckwheat cuisine”, “lobster”, grill, etc. ). For breakfast every morning the same: eggs (five types), vegetables, sliced ​ ​ ​ ​ (as usual), fruit is not a great choice (sometimes there were only grapes and apples); in the restaurant for villas breakfast is even more meager. Although, it’s easier here - whoever is used to having breakfast - I had enough yogurt with fruit, but my husband didn’t even get up for breakfast. With nutrition - everything is relative, it depends on you!
Liked the spa. Well, who doesn't like relaxation! ? During the first days there are special treatments that prepare the skin for tanning, then there is a radiance massage for tanned skin (good reviews), I personally recommend the stone massage. In the indoor pool with children, you can swim only from 14 to 15, but the temperature there is the same as in the open one.
Our recommendations for families with children in this hotel: there was not enough small inflatable pool (they didn’t find such a place anywhere), you can put a gate around a large private pool so as not to catch the baby all the time (it costs 70 Euro for the entire period).
And one more thing: there are no exchange offices and ATMs in the hotel (on May days in the city this is generally a problem, because they don’t work at all, and the rest of the days are up to 14 maximum), payment is only in Euro (except for the uvelirny - it’s more loyal there))), there is a small souvenir shop (only cash) and a good herb-oil shop (you can pay by card). If you need cash for a taxi, for example, at check-in, they can withdraw it from the card and give it out in cash. And one more thing - we ourselves went to Heraklion to the Knossos Palace and the Archaeological Museum - it would be more convenient upon arrival to immediately stay in the city, take a walk, and go to the hotel in the evening, otherwise you will have to go back and forth 4 times
