Bright Athens
Today I want to share with everyone our new Greek journey. Now the three of us are resting, me and my two girlfriends, my reliable companions on the road. We live in Grecotel Oasis in the Peloponnese. I like the hotel, though it should be noted that it is better for families. We have a magnificent view of the sea, incredible sunsets here... I have a very vivid impression of Athens. I have always wanted to see the Parthenon with my own eyes. And now my dream came true. . . By the way, there are many more interesting buildings on the acropolis, temples about which somehow they don’t particularly spread, because the famous Parthenon is nearby. We also saw the changing of the guard of honor. Evzones (as they are called) are funny - they march in stockings with garters, special skirts and loudly stomp their shoes with pom-poms. Their shoes are specially lined with nails so that you can give a good pendel if someone misbehaves. We behaved well and even took a picture with one of them while he stared intently ahead.
Even in Athens there is a stadium where the first modern Olympic Games were held. My girlfriends are athletes, so we can say we visited a holy place for them. Our guide's name was Ivan and many thanks to him for all the emotions that he gave us. He's great, he's very interesting. at the Acropolis, we were given tablets through which we could see what the Acropolis looked like thousands of years ago, so to speak, in the best condition. This is a 3D reconstruction. After the excursion in our free time, we also walked around the city center and went to the archaeological museum, which is worthy of a separate story, so I will simply limit myself to the fact that it is definitely worth a visit if you are in Athens. By the way, from Halkidiki, where we also rested and are planning more, there are also tours to Athens.
