Her Majesty is the Eiffel Tower!
This story is about how some things and events can completely change your life, but the main actions will take place, as the name implies, in Paris!
Going on a trip this summer, starting with planning, I asked myself: Where do I want to go, what do I want to see? And I knew for sure that I didn’t want to be in such a sissy like France. It has always amazed me that some people so dream of going to Paris to see this most famous tower in the world. I did not share these feelings. But fate turned to me in a completely different direction, and after graduating from the University and successfully defending my graduation project, I came across a very profitable offer to visit Paris, which I didn’t think about for a long time and my sister and I clearly decided that we should take advantage of this good option. It so happened that just the dates of my stay in Paris coincided with the date of my birthday, and we knew for sure that it would be something new and not usual for everyday days and not at all different from my previous "new years")))) !
In the process of preparing for the trip, we searched the entire Internet in search of interesting places and great deals, cafes and shops, in order not to get confused there and be ready for different situations. And I had a great desire to get there as soon as possible!
When we were brought to Paris, there was immediately a sightseeing tour, but in our thoughts we dreamed of its end, since at the finish line we would have been brought to the most popular sights and pride of Paris and France!
Along the way, we were told the history of the tower and that it was not always a tourist attraction. There was a time when the Parisians hated this "heap of metal" and wanted to get rid of the meaningless construction.
Initially, the project was conceived as a temporary 300-meter structure: the tower served as the entrance arch of the Paris World Exhibition, and demolition was planned after the exhibition.
To prevent this from happening, its creator, Eiffel, came up with an application for it and designed a radio antenna at the top of the tower. And after hundreds of years, the Parisians still fell in love with the tower and consider it their main trump card. And it is, because the tower is the most visited and most photographed attraction in the world.
But still there was one who did not like the Eiffel Tower, he hated it... (The end of this story at the end of my story)
Our first meeting with the Eiffel Tower took place from the square where the Trocadero metro station passes. We were brought there for a photo break, and even hundreds of tourists did not interfere with us when we enjoyed the views. It was such a surprise, because in life it is much more than you can imagine looking at the photos.
After that we had 3 days in Paris for everything. We wanted to visit a huge number of places, but wherever we went, we always found ourselves either near the tower or in the place where a beautiful view of it opens!
And so for all the days we have gathered a huge collection of photos dedicated to the Eiffel Tower, because it is simply impossible to pass by (both on the tower and under the tower where we bought souvenirs in the form of small turrets, and with the night tower, and on a boat, etc. ). e), watched the night show 4 times (near and far from the tower, on the lawn, where you can buy wine, champagne and sit in a very calm atmosphere, on the tower, which is located a few blocks from the Eiffel, called Montparnasse). The show takes place every hour after dusk. It looks amazing when millions of lights are lit on such a marvelous structure and for another 5 minutes you look at it as if spellbound.
Saying goodbye to this city, I knew for sure that I wanted to come back here. This is such a majestic place with positive energy that completely changed not only my attitude towards the city of Paris and France as a whole, but also my worldview. I was pleased to be in this easy atmosphere of the city, although there were some nuances. In general, I can say with confidence that I fell in love with this city, and the main reason for this was the Eiffel Tower! And now my dream is to visit the restaurant, which is located on the top floor of the Eiffel Tower.
Here is the promised story!
Guy De Maupassant did not like the Eiffel Tower, and changed more than a dozen apartments, since from any part of the city, wherever he lived, you can see it everywhere - the Tower, which he called "muck". But the time came when he reconciled and still found a way out.
The French writer Guy De Maupassant was one of those who was annoyed by the Eiffel Tower, however, he dined daily in its restaurant, and when his friends saw him one day, they were surprised and asked the question:
- You hate the tower so much, what are you doing here? To which he replied to them:
-This is the only place in Paris where you can't see this tower!
P. S. . . I brought a piece of the turret with me, and it will always remind me of those wonderful moments of my life!
