Paris, Paris... my dear friend...
A lot has been said, written and filmed about Paris, and yet I want to share my emotions and recommendations for those who have not been there yet. We were in Paris for 4 nights and 5 full days, we stayed in the 14th arrondissement, the Virgina hotel was located almost at the very border of the "district city" and for us this was a plus, since the price of housing is inexpensive (70 euros) and the opportunity to see the city is not only from tourist routes. It was very convenient to get to the hotel from Orly airport (direct bus for 8 euros, 17 minutes and almost at the door of the hotel), and in general, all tram, bus and metro stops were almost at the door. We bought a Paris visit pass for 5 days (price 38.35), fully paid for itself and also gave a discount on visiting some attractions. We had breakfast with croissants (from 1.2 euros), sandwiches (5 euros) and coffee from Starbucks (355 ml americano for 3.50 euros, delicious coffee) in the parks, this gave a special charm to breakfast. We already dined in our room with champagne and sparkling, delicious cheeses, cold cuts, baguette and foie gras pate (everything was bought in supermarkets). In the cafe we tried frog legs and Burgundy snails.
Here's what we managed to visit in 5 days: hot air balloon ride in the Citroen Park, boat trip on the Seine, a walk near the Eiffel Tower (the rise was not planned due to long queues), the Luxembourg Gardens, the Montparnasse Tower area, the island of Side , the territory of the Louvre, the Hotel de Ville square, the park near the Ferris wheel, the Arc de Triomphe (you can climb, a good view of the city) and the Champs Elysees, went to the Apple store (I recommend for fans), walked the route of Ravik and Joan (from the work " Arc de Triomphe", I really regret not stopping at a cafe to drink Calvados), Opera Garnier district, Montmantre district (Dolida's house, Van Gogh's house, Picasso's house, Mill de la Gallette), Sacré -Coeur Basilica Hill, Museum of Modern Art Georges Pompidou , the Defense district, the Moulin Rouge cabaret show (a must-see! ), Les Invalides, the Pantheon and many more monuments, squares, temples. . .
We didn’t visit the Louvre and other museums consciously - you need to seriously prepare for them in advance (since there is no guide in Russian), and going for a photo is blasphemy, and they saved a lot of time, especially if you are in Paris for a while. p>
I think that in such a short period and a small budget, Paris made a huge impression with its beauty, comfort, atmosphere and goodies. And, of course, left an appetite for the next trip.
