To say that we were disappointed is an understatement. This hotel is not suitable for living in principle. It must go bankrupt any day, and in anticipation of this solemn moment, they continue to sell tours there, scoring everything. But I'll tell you about everything in order.
Hotel.
The building itself is in a very sad state, the rooms as well. Plus, there are large, fearless cockroaches in the rooms. No room cleaning at all! ! ! Those few guests of this, so to speak, "hotel" independently take out the garbage into the corridor and leave it there. Therefore, to get into the room you have to go through this garbage dump. I even photographed it.
Water in the room is not always there, especially finished off when we arrived from Luxor, we wanted to wash ourselves, but there is no water! ! ! At the ricepshine, at first they were fed with promises that water would be brought soon, but then they said that there would be no water today and they could not help us in any way. I'm not even talking about changing linen or towels. By the way, there are no beach towels either. They also indicate that they have a billiards table (for a fee), but this table is upholstered and you can’t even play it for free.
Swimming pool.
You can’t swim in the pool, the water is cloudy, with some kind of flakes and dirt at the bottom. When we approached the pool just to look at it, some Arab decided that we wanted to swim, ran in and started waving his arms and shouting know, know.
Nutrition.
It is practically non-existent. That is, it seems to be there, but practically ...We were there 2 times. For breakfast we were given an omelet, more like matzah, some jam and makcoffee.
The omelette was fried without oil, burned, and when trying to pry with a fork, it simply broke. Yes, omelet and jam were served on the same plate) We decided to go for lunch. We were warned that if there were few visitors, there would be no buffet breakfast. It was also not available for dinner, which consisted of undercooked vermicelli and a cutlet, which, in terms of the degree of roasting and hardness, was not inferior to the morning omelet. We didn't go there again. There was a very good Barracuda restaurant next to the hotel, where for 10 Euros for two you could have a great meal and watch an oriental show that they had every evening. To give an example of the price in this restaurant: Barracuda specialty (rice boiled in fish broth, three large pieces of fish, salad, 2 types of sauces, bread and hibiscus) costs 30 pounds! ! ! Pound to dollar 7:1.
Beach.
There is a beach, although they do not write that its width is about 10-15 meters, but this is not scary, since there are no visitors and it is empty.
The problem is that a new high-rise hotel has been built there (red in the photo) and it blocks the sun. After lunch, the beach is completely in the shade. There are reefs, but they are practically dead, there are very few living pieces. Although the fish, albeit a little, but there, not everyone has escaped yet)
Tours
Excursions and the sea is what it is worth going to Egypt for. We went every day, on boats, quad buggies, got a lot of fun.
I was glad that we didn’t come across morons-maydauns on any excursion, all people behaved adequately, which, given the huge money that is poured into propaganda in Ukraine in order to quarrel us, is especially pleasant. Tourists from Ukraine, getting into a normal situation without this hysteria, when they shout about “Russian aggression” and “nuclear strikes” from all angles, seeing the support and sympathy for our troubles from the Russians, they forgot the horror that is happening at home and could have a normal rest . A little disappointed 1001 nights.
They covered the stands with glass and immediately lost the sense of the reality of what was happening and the feedback from the actors, who do not see the audience and do not hear their applause, but for the actors this is important.
By the way, maybe it will be useful for someone, the maximum prices for excursions:
1001 nights – 25$/person
Utopia Island - 25$/person
Island "Giftun" - 15$/person
Big-Safari - 45$/quad (large program)
Quad-Safari - 15$/quad (small program)
LUXOR - 45$/person
Water park "Jungle" - 30$/person
I emphasize that these are the maximum reasonable prices, it can be cheaper, but not by much. And it will take a lot of time to bring down at least a couple of dollars, so think about it.

Conclusion: although we are picky people and did not come to sit in a hotel, it was too much even for us. There is some necessary minimum, even for 2 stars, which must be met. It’s a little unclear how Join Up allowed this hotel to be sold without even checking the hotel’s compliance with its description.
Plus, their guide, some kind of schmuck arrived, didn’t even ask how we got settled, if there were any questions, start pushing excursions on the move, it was sent and evaporated to the ends. In general, there are questions for the operator, we will deal with them again.

Soap, toilet paper, towels (no hands at all) you buy upon arrival. There is no housekeeping either, just put a trash can and bottles outside the door and it seems like someone should take it all away.

Meals: took everything incl. so. Breakfast: one egg. jam, 10 grams of cheese, bread, three slices of tomato and cucumber, tea. There was no lunch, just no lunch, not provided. Dinner: pasta, potatoes, vegetables, gruel and four small pieces of meat, you must come by 19:00, otherwise you will not see meat until the end of the "rest". Real hunger and devastation. Alcoholic drinks only stella beer, limited to 2 bottles per day, nothing else and fanta.
They pour you a fanta into a glass, give you a piece of paper on which you write your number, name and amount of alcohol you drink (Alex, number 110.1fanta) Ate at the DUBAI cafe, which belongs to the "want".

Bottom line, read the reviews. I thought people were exaggerating, not everything is so bad, in fact it turned out to be even worse, just why don't people write that this is a garbage dump. Yes, and this hotel can not be sold to tourists. You don't have to go there, really. Don't get on your nerves with this hotel, respect yourself and have a great holiday.

Review of the holiday in Egypt 12/19/2010-12/25/2010 Before going to a 2 * hotel, of course, I read a lot of reviews about almost all 2-3 * hotels in Hurghada. I myself usually always go to 3 *. But since this time I was going to disappear on excursions every day, I decided to choose a hotel that is called “cheap and cheerful” - so, after studying more than a dozen reviews and coming to the conclusion that ideal hotels simply do not exist, I opted for the El Tabia hotel - and the location is good and the beach is good.
I did not expect to see anything better than our boarding house like Zarya or Burevestnik, located in the suburbs of St. Petersburg. My expectations were justified - a little shabby and not quite clean rooms, instead of a bedspread I had... a curtain !! ! ))) There was a blanket, but there was no duvet cover or sheet for him. There was always water - though it was not always hot - but warm, quite sufficient for taking a shower - always! Towel... yes it was - one. Gray and ugly. But I had my own (thanks to the reviews! ). Room cleaning consisted of making the bed and throwing garbage out of the bucket. I had a room with a turret, a lone non-working light bulb hung from the ceiling))) the light was at the mirror. There was even a TV and (wow! Not everyone! ) Refrigerator))) In general, when I came back tired from excursions, everything suited me. Did not like very much that the room is damp. The towel is always damp and nothing has dried (well, it dried up in two days, but the dampness remained).
Food is a separate issue. Breakfast: sometimes cucumbers-tomatoes-salad looked normal, sometimes somehow bad. There was also cheese and rolls. Oh, and of course, their trademark incomprehensible sausage. Sometimes they made an omelet))) once there was no cook - we stood at the stove ourselves)))) Dinner - dinner is more luxurious, but... the fish is very strange - with green bones))))
Well, what else to say? If you are not picky and the hotel is the only place where you can sleep, this is a super option. I did not see any animals (cockroaches, etc. )
The price corresponds to the quality, for the money that a tour to this hotel costs, you should not expect anything.

1. The room is frankly dirty, one lamp is lit in the toilet room, a dusty ceiling with a broken bulb hangs sideways from the ceiling on some wire. How it holds up is not clear. Soap on the sink. What they call a shower cannot be hung on the wall, although there is not much sense in it at all, because. warm water flowed two or three times in a week, and the day was neither warm nor cold. The socket works alone, a very suspicious crack is heard from the second. The carpet on the floor was used by the Mamluks. For a week, the room was not cleaned, or rather, once someone stretched the bedspread on the bed, the eerie-colored towels were never changed - probably, the cleaners are also scared. There is a layer of dust in the closet. There is no phone. Cellular communication is on the verge of reception, and even then not everywhere. The air conditioner works, but it’s very loud and only in one temperature mode, and as soon as you leave the room, some local devil turns it off. Failed to catch. In whose sick head the idea came to put a buzzing refrigerator instead of a bedside table at the head of the bed - it’s not clear at all. Well, you need to wash it at least sometimes.
2. Food is dangerous. I had dinner once, after ten minutes I realized that I had eaten some kind of rubbish, there were no pills, but only thanks to 400 grams of whiskey. Didn't experiment anymore. I also went to breakfast once, usually left earlier; Spartan breakfast - a cup of tea, a bun, an egg, a couple of slices of cucumber and tomato. Well, do not explain to them that I do not like eggs. And the mango and juice from Metro turned out to be a great substitute.
3. The water in the hotel pool is completely cloudy and covered with a kind of oily film, I don’t even advise you to approach - the birth of a new life is a delicate process. Rats run, most likely, from the neighboring yard where the sheep live. The beach on the sea is of medium pollution, but it is better not to wear a mask so as not to be upset by the view of the seabed. The absence of a beach shower was simply surprising.
4. Before the departure, the guide did not leave any information about the departure time, transfer, etc. He did not call at all. Looks like it was slammed by previous guests.
The hotel is not for relaxation, only to spend the night, which I actually needed, so there was nothing to complain about. I do not recommend for any couples, children, it is dangerous. The obvious advantages of the hotel include access to both sides and passages to neighboring establishments - very convenient for avoiding surveillance.
The food is quite decent in almost any nearby restaurant, towels cost 25-40 pounds, juices, fruits - in the nearby Metro, SIM cards from Vodafon or whatever it is called, information about the departure - from the airport website in any Internet Cafe. Yes, and if you dare to stay at El Tabia, be sure to bring a flashlight with you, otherwise you can turn your neck when you get to your room at night.

Since we came purely to the SEA and Excursions, everything suited us and we only spent the night in the hotel.

He probably hasn't showered since the opening of this hotel. the service staff is all dirty, but friendly (not all). they stole a camera and 500 dollars, then they planted the camera, but of course there is no money. the owner of the hotel didn’t even want to talk to us (an uneducated pig), but at the reception, at first they pretended to be looking for among their employees, and then they sent us to x... We went to El Tabia to celebrate the New Year, rightly judging that for $ 294 for a week for two (including NG dinner) it would be cheaper than for 3 days in the Carpathians. It was the first time in Hurghada and in 2 stars (and I think for the last time : ) ).

About the hotel - makes a good impression until you get closer. The hotel looks unfinished, aged, I don’t know how they did it.
Initially settled in a room overlooking the sea, spacious and large. But, knowing from experience that they almost never settle in good rooms the first time, especially on the street under the windows they laid asphalt, they asked to change the room. The receptionists did not resist (and were generally friendly and adequate) and provided a choice of 4 rooms. We chose a 2-storey room (just in the front tower of the hotel). There is hot water (where it is centralized, where there is a boiler in the room), the furniture is normal, albeit old; air conditioners did not work, so it was cold in the rooms at night; no insects or animals.
Linen and towels were not changed, cleaned poorly.

The dining room deserves a special mention because of the design. The columns, painstakingly sculpted and painted in the shape of fresh poop, apparently symbolize the food in the hotel, for it is wretched and creepy. On the HB diet, breakfasts were a la carte - i. e. rolls, 1 piece of feta and melted cheese, 3 pieces of cucumber and tomato each, parsley salad (i. e. just finely chopped parsley - I have not seen this before), an egg (if come early) and coffee/tea (with sugar! ). Dinner - soup, rice / pasta, meat dish, vegetable. 2-3 salads, tangerines, melon. In general, you can survive if you want. We do not accept this, so we ate at other establishments, in particular at Mr. Sam" - a Russian restaurant 50 meters to the left of the hotel - good (really! ) cuisine, including a native borscht, normal prices and service. We can safely recommend.
Beach - near the hotel - the beach of the ex-bar Hed Kandi, which was once a very fashionable place, and still retains a touch of its former luxury. The beach is not bad, but they are not allowed to drink their own drinks, and the prices in the bar apparently have been preserved since the heyday of the club. We sunbathed on the new Hed Kandi Beach Bar on Hurghada Marina Boulevard - generally a super glamorous place with great music (admission per person - 50 pounds, the price includes a towel and a bottle of water)

As a result, the hotel can be recommended as a base for sightseers and beachgoers, that is, to wash / sleep.
