But from the guide to the YOICE TOUR company, with whom we dealt for the first time, I was very disappointed.
He sent us as children to Luxor and did not warn us that we would travel far on a Taradayk and it was not for children, he neglected us on the first excursion to some store, four times I told him that the children were sick, and he told us not to sleep under air conditioning, that's all...then I never asked how they were. I went to the pharmacy myself.
He asked me to write down and order a packed lunch for us in the morning, we went hungry and without water...I thought it would be...
I’m generally silent about money...there was no feeling that he wanted to do something for us for relaxation. Very upset.
Take note.
Rested at the hotel SEA GULL 21.03. 23 to 28.03. 23.
I returned from Egypt - this is perhaps the most important thing and I thank the operator for this.
I read a bunch of positive comments about the hotel and decided ...The hotel seemed painfully attractive. And it really is - well-groomed territory, pools, architecture - it's amazing. A lot of work has been put into a good holiday.
This is good.
Now - a fly in the ointment.
I do not recommend the SEAGULL hotel for a holiday, except if you choose it yourself. The proximity of dusty and dirty Hurghada leaves its mark on a beautiful hotel - dust and flies, despite the fact that the flies are flying crocodiles that bite into you on the beach and chase you in the dining room. And the dust, the second half of the day clogs your lungs. There would be no price for this hotel if it were located 20 km. away from the hotbed of his inconvenience.
Food - 3 points out of 5.
The size of the dining room, in which vacationers walk around with full plates and look for a place to sit down for a meal - 2.
Well, the saddest thing I brought from Egypt is Covid. It was discovered by chance and in no way connected with my well-being.
Kukin Vladimir.
We arrived at 8:30 am. Two children (3.4 years), me, husband and mother. After a night flight, we, and especially the children, were very tired! The children were naughty, we were exhausted and on our nerves. She immediately asked to be seated nearby. Booked two rooms. They said to wait an hour. There were a lot of people at the reception! An hour later we came, gave rooms on the third floor and one at one end of the corridor, the second at the other. View on the floor collapsed roofs. Again with bags at the reception. Showed $10 and asked to change. An hour later they gave normal numbers. On the ground floor and next to each other. In general, the rooms are not bad. Everything works. But the furniture is old and worn out. I want to note right away that when you leave $ 1, they clean it a little better, without a tip it's a nightmare. In general, people are not careful. The staff is working hard! Smiling and quite friendly. Lots of locals are on holiday. From this, a lot of garbage. The staff can't clean up. The restaurant eats like pigs. On the table and under the table srach.
The restaurant serves the same food. I'm tired of this menu. Nothing changes, breakfast, lunch and dinner we know by heart what we will be fed. Not convenient that there is only one restaurant. Constant crowds and lines. Local grab hands, not paying attention to the remarks of the staff. But nevertheless, the attitude of the locals here is better. If they gave me two pancakes and poured them with chocolate, then they put three pancakes for the local and pour them three times with chocolate. Of course, I can ask and they will give me four and five... But when you stand in line and watch this picture, it is at least strange. No animation! Children's too. On the beach all morning, one dance in the water. The next day, tug of war. And this is once, every morning. In the evening, an hour of children's disco and 40 min. entertainment. In one place, the whole hotel with children gathers. Many smoke right there without being embarrassed by children. At 10 pm bainki))) I didn’t even go to the discos. She's just not here. Animation sucks! Boredom. Food. . . You won't go hungry. . .
Room. . Old furniture, more or less clean for a tip. You constantly wash your feet, you have to wash your white socks. Here's some cleaning. No tip at all a nightmare. There was a foot towel on the floor, I picked it up, and there was sand. I will not list all the delights of cleaning... There is a hair dryer, I did not use it. I took the iron from home. Not in the room, I didn’t ask at the reception... But I doubt that they have them. There is no kettle. Two glass glasses. Paper napkins. Drinking water is brought every day in plastic sealed bottles of 0.5 liters. Pieces of 5 every day. She's enough. There are travel threads in the box. A small bar of soap. Liquid soap dispenser and toilet paper. Towels and bed linen are white and changed every day. Make figurines out of towels.
The pools are constantly clogged with debris and hair floating in them. We don't swim in the pool. We go to the sea. Two beaches. Towels are issued on cards. I advise you to take a red flag there and hang it near the sun lounger, they will not pester you. We walked around the city... Locals stick hard. The city is full of rubbish and filth. Buy better in stores with fixed prices. Be sure to take a first aid kit. From the stomach, temperature, etc. A lot of rotovirus infection. It is advisable to constantly drink for the stomach, after each meal. Alcohol not so much. Beer and cocktails if only. At the reception from 10-23. Coffee is available in the restaurant in the morning. For lunch and dinner, go to the reception. Nothing works around the clock.
Internet on one of the beaches and then barely catches. Buy a SIM card at the airport from $10. Then you can extend in front of the hotel, it's more convenient.
I will definitely not go to this hotel again.
Judge for yourself.
P. S. At the end of August, beginning of September, it is still very hot. They burned badly. Stuffiness in the evenings.
So everything is in order.
Of the pros, and they are very few, were:
- we had a late arrival and even before receiving the bracelets we and our hungry children still got dinner (it ended in 10 minutes), thanks to the receptionist at the reception;
- food, though quite monotonous, but always tasty and fresh - that's all!
And from the minuses and negatives was enough:
- We were accommodated in rooms far from those shown in the "reviews", without a kettle, and with a small child I really needed him and I was counting on him when planning a meal for the baby! Rooms are old with two single beds for four people!
- on the first day of staying at the hotel with us and our friends, Egyptian craftsmen "cleaned" $ 100 from the SAFE, in which everyone is so loudly calling to leave documents and money! Fortunately, not all the money was stolen and probably expected a little more "clean up" with an hour, so the money must have an account! And then the "heat" began, because after complaints at the reception about the theft, came two from the service of one of theirs, who pretended to review our speeches, or sometimes the money was not thrown away. The first two days were, in addition to a spoiled vacation, lost due to standing in front of the reception, the expectations of business Egyptians, empty chatter and a lot of spent nerves. As compensation for all these inconveniences, as they called it, we were given "luxury" rooms with terraces and access to the pool - a small plus, because closer to the sea (we did not swim in the pools).
The money was not returned, of course, although it could have been returned if we had contacted the tourist police (they are afraid of it), but again, time would not have been spent on vacation.
- "where you do not sow, there you will grow" - Egyptians everywhere! ! ! ! ! There were so many of them that only 5% of the settled visitors were non-Egyptians! It was very uncomfortable for me, because they walk in herds on the beach, sit on the beach in the same herds and just stare at women and everyone wants to get caught and take pictures of small children, rrg!
- one morning such impudent Egyptians stole deckchairs with towels from us, because they decided that All, so All and they took these, our deckchairs; even after that Egyptian jumped on my husband, he didn't even apologize, you brat! And in the afternoon towels were stolen from these sunbeds! My husband was ready to tear them all up, because one trouble after another, but the towels were given to us without cards, thanks to the determination of my husband and the assistance of the "senior" on the beach.
We have never had such a thing in any foreign hotel, and we saw little of the world.
- The tractor air conditioner is something from the realm of fiction and extremely horrible, because there was no conversation in the room behind its hum and roar. Cooled the room, however, well.
I will write about food separately. There are two restaurants - a larger one in the old and a smaller new one, you can eat wherever you want. However, there is no lunch in the new building. The food is the same, but the fruit, melons and watermelons were only in the old one for dinner two days later. But the biggest trash is to have lunch at a restaurant where the Egyptians brazenly run in front of you, mutter something with their tongues and look into your mouth at the leather table. The smell there and wet chairs from their "swimsuits", then in general a separate topic!
But in the new building everything is very cultural, clean and nice. They never had lunch on the food court, because it was very hot for the children.
The restaurants have fish, seafood, veal, chicken, two types of rice and pasta daily; from fruits - apples, dates and oranges, from vegetables - cucumbers and tomatoes, cabbage and carrots.
Sea. The beach is large, but a small area for swimming in the sea for so many vacationers, and from lunch and in the afternoon - it is impossible to go into the sea, because the families of herds soak for hours in the water. They never swam in the lagoon, because they saw green algae slime near the shore and at the bottom.
On the beach you will not be left alone by various traders, from the word will not give peace, the last days they were, it seems, more than tourists.
The hotel was chosen based on reviews and there were a lot of positives, and that's what burned - a good holiday from day one!
The food is quite good, chicken, various meats, fish, squid, crabs. A variety of pastries, little fruit.
Congratulations to the chef on the food court! ! ! ! ! Everything is very tasty! The staff is very friendly, polite and respectful. Lots of bars and snacks. Bartenders are unique. If you want attention - you here.
Several pools, water park. Very nice area, everything is well maintained, many locations for photos. The area is currently undergoing partial repairs, but it did not bother. We had a great rest!
The hotel is noteworthy, I recommend.
The hotel has two beaches. The first one is smaller and dirty, but the second one is bigger, the water is clean, there are corals on the left, where you can admire the fish. But the problem is that this beach is narrow and long, and in order to take seats in the first row (so that the children can be seen and they can play on the shore), my mother had to insert at 5 in the morning (a dubious pleasure at sea). If you do not want to be pestered by animators or people offering different services, then you can take a red flag (where they give out towels). As for the animators (adults), they didn’t really strain, but they didn’t endear themselves either. The child was constantly running around in the evening and asking them what the show would be, there was no information about this anywhere and I had to sit after the mini disco and wait for the start. From the evening shows there were primitive competitions, such as Miss, Mister and the best couple... standard... from more or less interesting fire shows, tanura (skirt dance) and that's it.
Separately, I want to note the children's animation. Girls (Ksyusha and Lera) work from Coral (have nothing to do with general animation). From 10 am, the children's program began (they worked with the children in the shade, there were various games, exercises), at 11 competitions, for which the children in the evening (after the mini disco) received diplomas (like a trifle, but the child is incredibly pleased). Also on June 1, the girls arranged a whole pirate quest in honor of Children's Day! After lunch (at 3 o'clock) English, after - sandcastles! Special thanks to Ksyusha and Lera. The eldest child was always "on business", he himself kept track of time so as not to miss the start of the children's club!! ! I collected 10 diplomas during my vacation and I was very proud of it! What else I want to note about the work of the children's club. When I brought the child for the first time, they gave me to fill out a questionnaire (with my contact details, information about the child, whether there are any allergies, whether he knows how to use the toilet, what is possible, what is not, the characteristics of the child). This, in my opinion, is a very correct and individual approach! For children, there are also water slides, a swimming pool, a very beautiful unusual playground, a mini zoo... If your priority is to make your child happy, gain new positive emotions, then you are here!
On the menu... everything is stable and almost the same. In principle, they cooked delicious, but rather monotonous. Fridays were fruit holidays. Once - apple, the second - watermelon (this is for dinner). There was meat, fish, and squid a couple of times. Basically, you won't leave hungry. Considering the situation with covid, the food is given out "behind the glass", the guys in masks, with gloves put even more than they should, sometimes I asked them for less, that is, there are absolutely no problems with this. They noted such a feature that at the beginning of our holiday, when there were many Egyptians in the hotel, the food was a little better. Every day there was physalis, for example, and then where it disappeared completely : ( this also applies to several more dishes.
To summarize and answer, or would we return to this hotel, then only for the sake of the kids club! We have been to many hotels, but we saw it for the first time to do this with children! Otherwise, I did not notice the special advantages of the hotel and what would distinguish it from others (except for the super good location, which has already been written about many times).
We arrived early, but we were immediately settled and put on bracelets. The hotel is good, the area is not small, as if 2 hotels together (2 receptions). There are many different buildings on the territory, with different rooms, everywhere there is an elevator. There are 2 beaches, we preferred the lagoon, but the entertainment is on the other beach. There is also an open restaurant, there are always drinks and lunch, they also cook pizza and bananas in chocolate))
The food was prepared for a meager menu due to the coronavirus, but everything was great! Everywhere there are cooks and impose food as much as you want, sometimes asked to stop). We did not experience any inconvenience. There were many waiters and they were all very friendly. Whoever lacks male attention, you are here))) The staff wears masks, guests without masks. I don’t even know which of the minuses... the weather. In the early days there was a cold, strong wind. It is better to go to Hurghada at the end of April. Upon arrival in Ukraine, they hooked up *Diy at home*, there is nothing to worry about, we are waiting for the test result so that they turn us off. Tip: for those who do not receive notifications, look in the phone settings, check all the checkboxes for notifications on this application and everything will be with sound) By the way, you can leave the house for 2 hours a day.
Cleanliness in the room is excellent, the territory is well-groomed. Many thanks to the hotel management and all the staff for a fabulous stay!! !
The beach in the old Sigal is protected from the wind, sunbathing is comfortable. The lagoon itself is nothing special. From the shore, a smooth entry, then evenly deep. The beach from the side of the new Seagal is more interesting in my opinion, but the wind is felt and it is not comfortable to sunbathe. There are small coral bumps and some fish. The swimming area is fenced off with buoys. Also a smooth entry and not shallow. The bottom is good, they did without shoes. There were enough sunbeds here and there. There is a toilet and a shower too. Beach towels are decent. A large sports area immediately begins from the beach of the new Seagal. Volleyball, mini football, boccia. Animators invite you to take part in sports. entertainment and dancing. We are not active in terms of animation, we did not participate anywhere.
The room is normal, no flaws were found, the bed is comfortable, safe, wardrobes, hot water, cleaning and bottled water in the room, everything is ok. I will also pay attention to the territory. Very pleasing to the eye, to the extent of greenery, everything is well-groomed, clean. Beautifully trimmed trees and shrubs. There is a place to take a picture. The territory of the hotel is beautifully illuminated in the evening, there are fountains, a mini menagerie, slides for children and adults. Several pools. Something definitely heated, people swam, you can’t clear up in cold water. They didn’t pay much attention, casually, in principle, pools in the presence of the sea are not interested.
Food is not the most important point, but I must say that the food was good. There is plenty to choose from, there is meat and fish, several side dishes and stewed, fresh vegetables. There is a choice of desserts, very interesting and tasty ones are offered. Soups of two types for lunch and dinner. In general, it's pretty decent. It's a pity the restaurant Nemo didn't work. But by the way, we visited a decent fish restaurant near the hotel, I won’t tell you the exact address in the Sherry street area, it is perpendicular to the Sheraton. You can ask the locals, they will direct you. Delicious and not expensive. The excellent location of the hotel in the heart of Hurghada is conducive to strolling around. Walk 15 min. to the waterfront, the fish market is also within walking distance, a supermarket and a bunch of different shops. We did not buy souvenirs, but excellent towels - yes, both for ourselves and for presents.
We visited 2 excursions, to Orange Bay and to the Bedouins on ATVs. Cool and not expensive, they took from Mido Bikham through social networks, they also helped me choose the oils, El Baraka is the coolest of all on the Egyptian oil market. In general, the rest was very rich in emotions and impressions. The week just flew by, we never regretted that we decided to go on a trip. In conclusion, I want to express my gratitude to the staff and management of the hotel, we had a great rest. It is possible to consider a repetition. All the best!
