We returned just recently - on December 15, in complete delight. Although we read all sorts of things before this. The hotel is surrounded by greenery, good service, everyone is pleasant and attentive. A good guide is Khalid - we tormented him a lot, but I think he enjoyed working with us. Thanks to him and the guides Ali and Hassan. So, in order.
- The hotel is part of the madinat, so you can walk around all the hotels, but only eat at your own place.
- The bay is beautiful, there are a lot of corals and beautiful fish. Buy a mask! It’s not stormy, it’s big+
The sandy beach is a 5-minute walk near neighboring Coraya (5+), we swam from the pontoon - there are cool fish there and the pontoon is short.
- There is only one disco in our hotel for 4 hotels. This is outside the hotel twice a week after the show, we go outside the hotel within walking distance with the animators, the cost is $10 per person.
- The animation is good - near the pool, aerobics, step, dancing, water polo in the pool, on the beach only volleyball, in the evenings the performance is very high quality, by the way.
- Billiards - near the entrance to the main restaurant for free.
- There are shops, the prices are the same as in El-Quseir or in the shops across the road. It makes sense to buy a T-shirt or a towel with the inscription Marsa Alam in the store - and everything else in Hurghada is in duty-free - it’s cheaper there and there is a large selection.
- The beach is large, there are always free sun loungers and umbrellas, the same near the pool, so there is no point in running at 6 am. Italians, Ukrainians and Russians lie on the beach, Germans and Poles lie near the pools.
At the hotel when we checked in there were 20% Ukrainians (sometimes even none), 20% Italians, 60% Germans, 60% Poles; there were no Arabs vacationing here.
- Excursions are more expensive than in Hurghada, but there are no alternatives - I had to buy them from a guide, and took a fishing and quad safari with my friend. No regrets. Our guide went with us.
We caught fish, the safari was generally great, although we didn’t order barbecue from the Bedouins - we were afraid of unsanitary conditions.
- Married couples relax in the hotel, there is no “traffic”, although Lamaya is the youngest of the 4 hotels. The cocktails are pretty good if you give the bartender a couple of pounds. Although of course their alcohol is much worse, the only good thing is white wine.
- Restaurant. In the morning the food is not bad - European style, porridge, toast, buns...But at lunch and dinner it’s a real glutton, there’s a lot of everything and it’s delicious, there’s almost no line, except near the grill. And the cakes!!! ! oh goodbye figure.
- A huge beautiful lobby bar, in the evenings there is good live dance music, we danced.
- There is a bar on the beach, there is ice cream and from 12 o’clock pizza, buns, tea. Make friends with Muhamed - he is the main bartender there.
- The animators organize early entertainment at the pool throughout the day, local boys, girls from Russia and Ukraine, we enjoyed playing water polo - we played and shouted at the whole hotel - a real blast!
- Many animators understand Russian and even those at the reception don’t, but if you speak English it’s easier to explain yourself and there’s more respect for you, and in general I advise you to learn a couple of Arabic phrases - they’ll smile at you at all times.
- There is Internet, it works well throughout the territory. There is a bank and an ATM.
- The cleaners - everyone from our group put in a pound or a dollar, but not everyone took out towels. They clean well, everything is clean, everything is changed every day.
We were a large group of Kharkov residents - we met on the bus and it was fun and interesting for us, although I think it would be good for the two of us or for newlyweds or pensioners or businessmen tired of the hustle and bustle.
Compared to Hurghada, it’s expanse, it’s clean, the air is excellent, the sea is crystal clear.
Although if you need discos and shopping, this is not the place for you...
The big minus is that it is far from Hurghada airport - 200 km; the direct route to Marsa was more expensive and did not suit the dates.
This was the only unpleasant moment during the entire vacation, because the road is very long and tiring from Hurghada to the Maraya Marsa Alama hotel.
The pool is next to the sea, it is very convenient, but towels are only provided from 8.30. in the evening everyone dresses beautifully and walks around the territory and along the embankment to the barn. take evening clothes. Swimsuits and tank tops are not allowed into the restaurant.
In general, the hotel is 5 points! If you are interested in anything, ask! It’s a long way to Luxor - 6-7 hours there and the same amount back, because the buses go almost to Safaga, gathering people in a convoy of buses and then to Luxor, we decided not to go there, although our friends went, they liked it, although it was tiring.
Firstly, the hotel is in a fairly good location near the airport. Around it there are several more hotels and shops for tourists and locals, that is, there is no external noise.
Secondly, the hotel is new and looks very, very nice: a huge amount of greenery, flowers, clean and beautiful. We were placed in a room on the ground floor, not far from the pool and quite close to the sea. At first we decided that we were unlucky, we thought it would be noisy, the windows do not face the sea, but in the end we were more than satisfied, there was no noise, it was two steps to the sea, the only thing was that it was far from the restaurant, but it was a short walk before and after the meal. It was just helpful. The room itself is very ordinary, you can find fault with the cleaning, not everything is perfect, but not that significant, overall not bad. The downside is that there is no very hot water in the shower, only lukewarm water.
The air conditioner is good and not noisy. There is a safe in the room.
Next is the beach and entry into the sea: there are also reefs where you can swim with a mask, look at fish, admire the beauty of the sea, and a sandy place where you can swim without fear of stepping on any living creatures. As for the beach infrastructure, there were no questions: there are always free sun loungers with mattresses, huge umbrellas, fences and everything you need for a relaxing and active holiday.
Everything in the restaurant is excellent, at lunch and dinner there is always a choice of beef, chicken and fish, a lot of vegetables, but not enough fruit, maybe we were just out of season, at least there were always dates. The devices are sterilized and individually wrapped. The waiters are very polite and pleasant, as are the rest of the staff.
As for the animation, some may think that it is not enough, but we had enough of everything.
On the beach you can always play games, aerobics every day, waterball and aquagym in the pool, in the evening during dinner Mini disco for children (the children's program is quite short), and periodically various traditional show programs, very cool!
Once again I would like to note what a wonderful staff they work with, everyone is so polite, friendly and smiling, by the end of the holiday it seems that everyone has become friends: )
Our holiday at the Jazz Maraya hotel in Marsa Alam was a real discovery! The hotel is simply magnificent, and we are happy to share our impressions.
The hotel area is huge and well-groomed, which was a pleasant surprise. Every day we enjoyed walking around the grounds and relaxing in the shade of the palm trees.
Particular attention should be paid to animation. Each morning began with morning stretching, which was ideal for warming up for an active day. Then yoga classes were held, which was a real relaxation for the body and soul.
We also did not miss the evening shows and entertainment programs - the animators know how to create a great atmosphere, and every day was filled with positivity and fun.
The buffet was varied and with high quality products. We enjoyed not only the traditional dishes, but also the fruit treats, which were always fresh and delicious. I would especially like to note the wide variety of desserts and fruits - they are served in huge baskets, and we could enjoy mangoes, pineapples, watermelons and other delicacies at any time of the day.
The beach is a special pleasure. Beautiful coral reef next to the hotel, ideal conditions for snorkeling. We also tried various water activities and were delighted with the level of organization.
Hotel Maraya is an ideal place for those who want to relax, enjoy delicious food and the great outdoors, as well as for those who love active entertainment and sports. We would love to come back here again!
I highly recommend going to everyone, especially those who are family-oriented or just a relaxing holiday.
The afternoon and evening activities were interesting and not boring; the shows were amazing, especially the live music nights; wonderful dancing was very good.
The animation guys were very nice and knowledgeable; they always involved us in their activities, but were never intrusive; they always had a smile on their face, even if you knew there were problems. (editor's note, I am a former artist and worked in this industry or environment for 20 years).
The rooms are spacious and always clean. Thanks to the boys in the rooms
Everyone is very responsive and always friendly! Wishes come true immediately! Thank you very much everyone
The food is very tasty and plentiful! Your wishes come true here too! Thank you very much
The artists were always in a good mood and were never intrusive. Evening entertainment was good
A very nice small hotel for a holiday. The service was great!
If you had any requests, they were quickly fulfilled. Overall, a great vacation! We are already looking forward to our next holiday in October!
1. ROOMS - still a new hotel, everything is in good condition (before checking in I paid $25 and all my wishes regarding the accommodation were taken into account). The beds and towels are perfectly clean. Everything works properly, there are no complaints.
2. TERRITORY - clean, everything is tidy and green. One heated pool - water +28', in the water park + 22'.
3. WEATHER - winter, it’s winter in Africa too.
The air during the day warms up to a maximum of +24', the sea +22'-23' (given the wind, it’s cold to swim). It is comfortable to be on the beach only from 10.00 and maximum until 15.30. Don't forget warm clothes, it gets really cold early in the morning and after 6:30 p. m.
4. BEACH - very large, there are more than enough sun loungers and umbrellas, but they are not very new. There was a strong wind and one straw umbrella was torn out along with an iron riser, thank God no one was near the vacationers, the staff quickly cleaned everything up and fixed it.
5. SEA - clean, not deep, the entrance is gentle, but from the side of neighboring hotels, since there is no entry at Maraya beach and the reef is only from the Koraya center or from the pier of the Solimar hotel. You can use the territories and beaches of the entire Jazz hotel chain. There are large corals and many colorful fish.
6. MAINTENANCE. What’s nice here is that every guest is welcome, the bartender Hasan at the lobby bar is very attentive, always makes great drinks and is polite.
The staff speaks German, English, and speaks a little Polish and Russian. Always fast service at bars and in the main restaurant. Room cleaning is at the highest level))) All staff are organized and monitor their work carefully and professionally.
7. HOTEL CONTINGENT - 60% Germans, mostly aged, and 40% parents with children (Italians, Poles, Germans, there were a few Ukrainians and Czechs..... )
8. SMOKING AREAS. Ashtrays are placed on the tables on the street, there is also a roof bar, which is on the roof of the 3rd floor with a magnificent view of the sea, where you can relax, have a drink and smoke a hookah or cigarettes. There are no cigarette smells in the area, which is important to me as a mother of two children)))
9. NUTRITION. The variety of dishes in the restaurant is large, but there isn’t much choice for food, although you won’t go hungry, it’s not for everyone.
Of all the variety, I really liked the dishes: omelettes, salads, fries, chicken, cupcakes (I only had them twice), verchelles, yogurt, jams, grill, soups and shrimp; salads and desserts seem monotonous to me. This is all! The alcohol, especially the wine, is simply excellent, the beer is not bad either, and the cocktails are excellent.
10. EXCURSIONS. We purchased two tours from the tour operator to Luxor and Cairo. Unfortunately, the time spent at historical sites amounted to less than 30% of the total time spent in these cities. 70% of the time the tour operator drags you around souvenir shops and shops. This is just some kind of trash... ! All the guides do all the way is try to sell you some kind of bullshit - tea, coffee, cane honey....Totally screwed! Before purchasing these excursions, please think 100 times whether it is worth spending time and effort on tedious travel (to Luxor - 4 hours one way, to Cairo - about 7).
11. Program.
Animation during the day starts at 10 am, the guys try very hard to attract them to all sorts of activities, games, water aerobics, exercises, darts, boccia, croquet, dance lessons, Arabic writing lessons, I liked yoga and cooking lessons in Egyptian cuisine. There is also a children's room and a swimming pool with slides open all day. From 19.00 to 22.00 there are evening programs, live music is organized in the lobby bar, and the show program takes place in the amphitheater, first a children's disco and face painting, and then a show with professional artillery.
Thank you for reading this review to the end! If you have any questions, please write, I will answer with pleasure! I wish everyone the right choice of place and time of rest!
Service is one of the best qualities of the hotel.
Mr. Hesham, the area hotel manager, is the main reason we keep coming back. He runs a fantastic hotel, he made us feel like VIPs and made sure all our needs were catered for. All the staff from the kitchen staff to the animation team to the landscaping and cleaning team were absolutely fantastic. Everyone is friendly and will take care of your every need.
Several hotels on the bay. excellent reef near the Stenterberger hotel.
SPORTS: fitness center, swimming pool, reef, animation, slides, possible excursions, evening program.
SERVICE: Excellent, everyone is always very friendly and helpful.
ROOM: Very large, has everything you need. Rooms with terrace or balcony.
HOTEL: We had another unforgettable holiday in Egypt and we would like to share our impressions of the Jaz Maraya Hotel.
It was an absolutely wonderful stay and we highly recommend this hotel! This was our third stay at this hotel. The hotel is located near the airport, and our transfer time was only 10-15 minutes. However, you can hardly hear anything from the nearby airport. The hotel is new with an interesting infrastructure that is not typical for Egypt. There are rooms with a private terrace and a swimming pool overlooking the sea.
We were greeted warmly from the very beginning. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The check-in process went smoothly and we were greeted with a refreshing welcome drink. This warm welcome set the tone for our entire holiday.
The hotel rooms were spacious, clean and functionally furnished. We didn't like the first room and were immediately offered another. As requested, we were given a quiet room overlooking the garden. The beds were comfortable and we had a great sleep here.
The daily decorations on the beds with towels were very original.
The food was absolutely fantastic! The buffet offered a wide selection of Egyptian and international dishes. The quality and taste of the food was excellent. Some of the food was freshly cooked/fried. You also have the opportunity to eat once during your entire stay in a special restaurant that serves a menu. You should book this place immediately upon arrival (during high season) as demand is quite high. The hotel pool was beautifully decorated and was cleaned every evening. Drinks were served or you could help yourself at the pool bar. However, we didn't make much use of the pool because we are keen snorkelers and divers and have always felt comfortable on the beach (it's quieter there).
Access to the beach was also perfect, we spent many hours on the beach and the underwater world amazed us every day.
In general, you can expect that there will be a lot of employees on the road offering massages, quads, beauty treatments, etc. looking for clients. There is also a very large slide system not far from the hotel.
The hotel has an animation team. They organized fun activities during the day by the pool, but we didn't take advantage of it and can't say anything about it. All we saw was that there were a lot of offers. In the evenings there is always a show and live music and dancing at the bar. The hotel also has a spa, which my daughter and I used once. The massage and treatments were very relaxing, big compliments to the ladies. However, there was a flaw on the part of the management of the wellness center: we should immediately book another massage in order to receive a discount. It was said that the meeting could be canceled if it didn’t work out.
When I had to sign the application, the bill for the room already showed two appointments. I complained about this and said that I would not pay for the second appointment until we received the application. Then it was written: then I won’t get a discount on another application. This sounded like blackmail to me, and so I refrained from further massages. To sum it up, I can say that our stay at Jazz Marai in Egypt was simply an amazing holiday. We felt at home here and were pampered by the attentive and friendly staff. Everything was very clean and hygienic. We are already looking forward to our next visit to this Red Sea paradise! One more thing to mention: I forgot the decoration at the hotel and contacted the hotel via email at home.
FOOD: large main restaurant, restaurant near the beach, snacks and drinks at the pool bar, cocktail bar on the roof overlooking the sea, where there is a beautiful view and hookah, a relaxing environment.
The hotel is wonderful - nice and clean rooms with working equipment, polite and helpful staff, good food. It’s close to everything, it’s very nice to swim in the heated pool in the morning before breakfast (the temperature is reminiscent of mornings in the Indian Ocean : )
For us, the main thing was the sea and its inhabitants - and we saw almost all the diversity under water: turtles, moray eels, napoleons, tuna and trevally, various eagle rays, electric rays, stingrays, the whole variety of many other fish and animals. Only sharks, dugongs and dolphins did not swim - and, perhaps, these are all exceptions. The bay perfectly compensates for the opportunity to swim in windy weather.
The staff speaks German/English/, few people understand Russian except the animators, but this is not a problem, if you wish, you can explain any task, the staff is very responsive and friendly.
1 main restaurant, 2-3 bars, a pool bar, one near the beach.
The food is excellent, there’s simply nothing to complain about! Alcohol, of course, as usual in Egypt, leaves much to be desired, but this is not the hotel’s problem. The tables are cleared of dirty dishes instantly, which was pleasing, the waiters also bring drinks at the first call, and later they remember what you are drinking and bring them without reminders. A couple of times we went to the gym to work out on the exercise machines, from 15-18 there were a lot of people, but at 11-12 no one.
The beach is not bad, clean sand, azure warm water, fish! There were no problems with free sun loungers or umbrellas on the beach.
There are many swimming pools, both for adults and for children; finding free sun loungers is also not a problem.
The "standard" room is new, bright, quite spacious, nothing superfluous.
Large bathroom with shower and bath, you can bathe at the same time and not wait for each other.
They clean well, linen and towels are changed every day.
The animation is good! But special thanks to the children's animators, two girls, Yulia and Karina, wonderful girls love children very much. The club has a program prepared every day, mini disco plays with children in the evening and it’s wonderful. Girls find connections with every child, and that’s how it should be! You can leave your child and go on vacation and you will know that everything will be fine, children love them very much!!
A very picturesque bay with an untouched coral reef, which is looked after, a sandy beach with an entrance to the sea, a magnificent view of the open sea, a “wild” cozy beach.
Marsa Alam is a driver's destination thanks to the preserved natural beauty of the reef.
The territory unites several JAZ hotels. The impression is that you are in a resort town, not a hotel. A wonderful water park with a variety of slides is 3 minutes away. I must note that the water park staff are very attentive and polite at their post.
During the day there is a place to eat if you are late for lunch. The staff does their job responsibly, although some waiters do it a little nervously.
Of course, there are little things that you want to comb, but they don’t spoil the overall impression. Great place!
I really, really enjoyed my stay. We plan to return someday.
We have vacationed in the Jazz network many times already, we were in Hurghada, Sharm el Sheikh, and now we decided to get to Marsa Alam - the trip from Hurghada airport to the hotel is even more of a pleasure. 210 km - landscape: desert on the right, beautiful sea on the left??? ? .
We arrived at the hotel early in the morning, they put bracelets on us and sent us to breakfast; we were asked to wait three hours before checking in. After breakfast, we went to “get acquainted” with the territory. I would like to note that she is impressive! Lots of relaxation pools that smoothly transform into one another, the architecture of the buildings is uncharacteristic for Egypt, green lawns, beautiful flower beds...After 2:30 hours spent in the “lifeless” desert, you begin to especially appreciate the work of the landscapers! Extraordinary cleanliness of public places. By 12:00 we had a large, comfortable room, excellent bed linen, and a huge bathroom with shower. The room includes bath amenities, slippers and bathrobes.
Since we were there at the end of November and at the beginning of December it was not very hot, we did not use air conditioning and basked in the comfortable sun. The room is cleaned daily, quite efficiently.
I would like to note that the Jazz chain is becoming better and better with each new hotel!
I really liked the service in bars and restaurants! They bring everything, dirty dishes are quickly removed, there are no problems with free tables. There are 2 restaurants for breakfast, 3 for lunch, and 4 for dinner. The menu is very varied. Everything is prepared with high quality and tasty. The service staff is attentive and friendly.
Live music in the evening, then some performance at 20:30.
The territory is very large, there is no feeling of a crowd...The sea...You can talk about the sea forever...There is an approach from the shore, there is from the pier. Beautiful reef, wall depth 30 meters. When entering from the shore you can meet two stingrays, surgeon fish, butterfly fish and many others. At low tide - crabs, stars...
While we were resting, the tides were daily and very pronounced, but this did not in the least prevent us from swimming. If there was a strong wind and it was impossible to swim from the pier, we went on an excursion to Aswan Abu Simbel for two days. Great trip we really enjoyed it! We ordered from a local guide at the hotel, Karima, who knows a little Russian, but is very attentive to his work. We also ordered a boat trip from him during Marsa Mubarak and swam with a sea cow and turtles! I highly recommend it to you! We were very pleased!
You can always find free sun loungers on the beach, and the service staff will be happy to carry and lay out your towels...Also, “shallow water” is convenient for families with small children and for those who are afraid of depth......
The animation is unobtrusive, pleasant...Continent of vacationers: 90% Germans, there are also many Poles...
There is one hotel in the desert))) On the left and on the left are the Jazz hotel chains and the only Aladdin disco club in Marsa Alam.
On the territory there is a pharmacy, a shopping center (loudly said), a spa and a diving center.
We remember our vacation 100%, we had fun and a lot of emotions)
The beach is huge at several Jazz hotels, there are 3-4 times more sun loungers and umbrellas than there are guests. The beach is sandy, entry into the sea is sandy or from a pontoon. The house reef is incredible. Especially on the south side behind the pontoon.
There are really few snorkelers, just you and the reefs. There are no currents or waves in the bay. The ideal time for snorkeling is until 11-12, then visibility is very low. By the way, many swim near the shore without shoes, because the approach is sandy, but fragments of reefs can be found in shallow water, and I also saw a huge stingray 3 m from the shore. I think there is no need to talk about the consequences of a collision with a stingray. Fins, masks, and sunscreen can be bought at a local store.
Food The choice of food is very small, I would even say small. But! Everything is fresh and tasty. A large selection of vegetables, every day a new menu for lunch and dinner, there is always something fish (several types of fish, crabs, squid, paella or pasta with seafood) and something meat (chicken, beef, lamb, duck). The fruits are sweet, I was surprised by the quality of the desserts. We've all tried those inedible hotel cakes, right? Here I was surprised by the quality and taste of the desserts.
A special heart for the unreal babaganoush and artichokes?
On Fridays at the pool they serve fresh mango with strawberries and guava, as well as sweets.
Considering that there is really nowhere else to buy mangoes around the desert, this is an excellent offer. There is one snack from 4 to 5, ice cream from 2 to 5, bars are open all day. The drinks in the bars are quite good, by the way. Beer and alcohol are locally produced, soft drinks are not bad, if you order a gin tonic, it will actually be Schweppes gin and tonic, the bottle of which will be opened in front of you.
Spa A separate story, we were offered 15 free test massages on the beach. Sonya, of course, was delighted with this idea and we had to go. As a result, I was so delighted with the massage that I now go every day. I've been to hotel spas all over the world and I can say with full responsibility that the guys here know a lot about it.
Animation stretching, water aerobics, yoga, volleyball, some kind of activity all day.
I have to go to everything because my daughter demands it) the guys are cool, funny and unobtrusive. They will walk along the beach, announce that it’s yoga time and that’s it, my favorite level of interaction
Guests There were many Poles, Czechs, Germans, there were Belarusians, a few Italians and ours. Everyone is decent, no drunken dancing, peace and quiet everywhere. High Weather All day 28-30, not hot during the day, no need to hide in air-conditioned rooms. The water is warm, I think 26 at least. It gets dark at 17:00. There is no wind.
Service Everyone tries very hard. If you ask for water or change towels, they bring it in 5 minutes. In the restaurant, drinks are served instantly. They ask if you like everything. The only thing missing is beach service.
Internet WiFi in the hotel works well throughout the entire territory, which is excellent for Egypt.
In general, everything is at the highest level!! !
We vacationed in Jazz Marai at the end of November - beginning of December 2024. In Egypt 4 times.
I would like to immediately appeal to those who write reviews - please write the next time you were on vacation. If you were on vacation in Egypt for the first time, then your wow is understandable, but you shouldn’t write reviews, because they are not objective, you have nothing to compare with and you are misleading with your wow.
So, right away about the main thing, this is the SEA. The beach and sea are beautiful. The beach is large, sandy, gently sloping, the depth starts from 10 meters closer to the pontoon from the side of the neighboring hotel, at Marai there is a beach without entry and there is little reef and fish. The sea was different, and transparent, and the water with milk glittered very beautifully under the water. There was no storm, there were no big waves, the red flag was seen once a week, and then only for half a day. The water was cooler than usual for this time of year, but it always floated for at least as long and did not freeze.
There is no coral reef nearby, but there are living coral islands and a lot of small fish from the Koraya pier, I saw new fish every day, large fish up to 1 m also swim, but this is closer to the buoys and behind the buoys.
And most importantly, we swam with turtles every day, mostly with one or two in one swim, I was delighted! The turtles are different, I counted 4 or five different ones. I saw stingrays three times, once a huge one, swimming from above a turtle, the “wingspan” of more than two meters. Several times I spotted gray moray eels grazing on a field of grass next to corals, and many times I saw cuttlefish swimming in a line.
ACCOMMODATION: the room is good, spacious, bright, clean. The mattress is a little hard, but comfortable. The bathroom was large, hot water was available around the clock, the water pressure was good, cosmetics included shower gel, shampoo, and soap. Slippers, white warm robes. Cleaning is good, upon request.
They always left a $1 tip; they showed us swans, elephants, boats, etc.
FOOD: for my taste it is very good, thanks to the chef, he often comes into the room, monitors order, is interested in our opinion, he is very pleasant and a professional in his field. By the way, once a week the animators gather at the restaurant for a lesson in cooking Arabic dishes with the chef, a very interesting activity.
At lunch and evening, fish, chicken, assorted meat, i. e.
cooked differently every day. Side dishes - potatoes, rice, pasta are also prepared in different ways, i. e. the food does not get boring. Various vegetables and salads. Fruits during the rest included guava, melon, pomegranate, dates, figs, grapes, orange, persimmon, and strawberries. The baked goods in the morning are varied and tasty. But there is not a large selection of pies and cakes, mostly sponge cakes. I love puff pastry and shortbread, but there were very few of them and only for the opening of the restaurant, but it’s probably for the best - I didn’t gain weight.
I would like to note the friendly and friendly staff at the reception, thank you!
The juices in the bar and restaurant are not bad, there are fresh juices and fruits at the pool once a week with a beautiful presentation and program.
An interesting entertainment program in the evenings, and the same all days, at 8 o'clock in the evening there is a children's disco, then a girl dances a belly dance, and then a young man twirls his skirts, a fire show with light effects, carnival dancing, Mr. Hotel, a gymnastic show and so on every evening is different . But it all ends by 22.00, then there’s live music at the reception and that’s it. Only there are night discos sometimes with animators outside the hotel for 10 dollars until the morning.
The downside is that there is not a single Ukrainian TV channel.
I want to say a few words about the tour operator. TEZ-tour, as always, is excellent, convenient and with almost no change in departure time (it was moved by 1 hour).
An excellently organized excursion into the desert on ATVs, I discovered a completely different Egypt, very interesting, thank you! One minus, it’s very cold in the minibus at night, we caught a little cold, we need a climate control system.
In general, to put it in a nutshell, I recommend the hotel!
P. S. I wrote in Russian so that hotel workers who don’t understand Ukrainian could read it.
Everything is fine, may you be lucky!
The fact that we knew that the hotel was in the desert, there was nothing interesting nearby at all, keep this in mind. We arrived at the hotel around lunchtime and were quickly accommodated on the second floor overlooking the sea. The interior is generally spacious, a normal hard bed, decent air conditioning, cleaning every day, there are no complaints about the accommodation. The beach is nearby, you can swim only from the pontoon, when there is wind, it is blocked, in general it’s not the best place for children to swim, from the pantoon it’s very deep, with children you can only enter from the Jazz Solaya hotel, a 5-minute walk. The sea is of course gorgeous, swims could last for several hours, although the cold current sometimes disrupted the rhythm. We always found two sun loungers nearby; their location did not matter to us.
At first glance, the territory seems large, but then you realize that everything is very compact and well thought out, there are no large transitions between objects.
In terms of nutrition, everything is subjective, everyone has their own taste, but no one will go hungry here, all the standard dishes are there, and I agree that sometimes the potatoes were half-raw or the same stewed vegetables, soups have the same name, but in general you could always choose what to eat . The dishes were decent, there were always enough napkins, everyone quickly brought everything if needed.
In general, I advise you not to forget any little things here, everything in the hotel is exorbitantly expensive, take creams, I started taking pills for allergies to strong sun at home two days in advance, take a larger first aid kit, peroxide, a band-aid, and so on. In general, there is no point in buying a local SIM card, the internet in the hotel is normal, but apart from messages on Viber and watching the news, we didn’t need anything else from it.
The staff is professional, the animators are all positive, good guys, they often joined them in the main pool, there is a Russian-speaking bartender in the lobby, he often attracted attention with his work and optimism, since everything around the hotel was clear and understandable and fortunately we did not experience any problems.
The alcohol in the hotel is local, but not as bad as we tried in other places, probably from a better manufacturer, the beer, if it’s cold, is simply excellent. For additional entertainment, I recommend visiting Dolphin Bay, plus we were also in Luxor.
So I think that the hotel is really worth the money, we got everything we wanted from our vacation, the sea here and the underwater world are the best in Egypt, and we have been to all regions and have something to compare with, I advise you to watch the video, it’s on the Internet now already a lot.
