The receptionist said "$ 50 for two rooms" and agreed on $ 40. Giving the keys, we go to look - rooms on the 5th floor, our number 564, my mother's 565. In our room the door to the balcony was broken (without a handle and did not close), on the balcony table stood with a huge hole in the middle and very dirty! My mother's condition was better, but also dirty and the door to the balcony was broken. Since we wanted a double bed and the room was scary, we went to ask for a replacement.
When changing, the receptionist asked not to tell anyone that we paid extra for the room and it is not surprising, of course… Room was given on the 3rd floor - 367. There was normal furniture, a double bed, but the door to the balcony also did not close! And if we knew that we would suffer from them all week, it would be better to agree to the worst number. The window and the balcony overlooked the road, and across the road the beach and the sea. Garden, sea, road - ALL ON ONE SIDE, so do not go for these surcharges, all rooms with the same view.
By the way, the weather this winter is not the best - the air temperature on the first day was 14 degrees, strong wind 9-12m / s and no sun. It was very uncomfortable in jackets and warm sports suits, it is clear that no one was swimming.
Dinner on the first day: at first we thought it was just late, so there is so little food, but no. The choice is so meager that you can not imagine! And those that are, very tasteless. It's the same thing every day, so I'm tired in two days.
Salads are made from vegetables that were not eaten in slices yesterday or morning. Raw, sausages dried up, as if lying for half a day. If you are with children, you are definitely not in this hotel, because it will be unrealistic to feed a child here, because there is simply nothing.
Beach: managed to swim normally only the last two days, when there was a tide. In the first days there was an ebb, so the water near the buoys and at the end of the pontoon was up to the waist.
The only plus - there are fish and corals.
For a week we came from the beach frozen and ran to bask in a hot shower. This is the only place where you can warm up, because the room temperature was not higher than 16 degrees all day. And all because the balcony doors opened themselves and there was always a draft! Air conditioners in the rooms work only for cooling. Cleaning was done as if with closed eyes - put water, glasses and everything. Dust and dirt remained after cleaning. The last two days were warmer outside, but the room was just as cold, so I really wanted to go home faster.
Internet: for the entire period of your stay you are given a password to Wi-Fi, one device has separate access. On the device 3GB of Internet, if over - day $ 2. The Internet works like that, I think for a long time, but it's good that there is one.
Last day: after breakfast we decided to extend the room, because departure from the hotel at 14:45, did not want to wait two hours after eviction. We agreed to extend the number for $ 15, but warned that at 12:00 we will have our bracelets cut off and we have no right to go to lunch. Although on the day of arrival we only got to dinner! The price of lunch is $ 30. Of course, we are not ready to pay such money for that food. It is better to go to an institution in the city, it is tastier for the same money. But when handing over the cards in the lobby we met the hotel guide Annex Tour, who said that we should have lunch, because on the first day we did not get to lunch. Probably, the receptionists once again wanted to make money.
This is the first time we have encountered such a service! More precisely, with his absence!
The feeling that those who write good reviews about Marina Sharm simply were not in normal hotels. After a stay at Mercury in Hurghada and some good hotels in Turkey, the service here is below 0.

For the first time I meet that the guides would leave the vacationers on the doorstep of the hotel and leave. At the meeting with the hotel guide, they were even more surprised that they did not receive a single answer to the question, only an attempt to sell excursions. When asked about the test - read in the insurance policy ?? ? What hasn't been priced yet. A "free" tour of Sharm, they forgot to say that they would take water, and when they brought it to their "Center" with low air conditioning, or rather its absence, they began to drive around the shops not allowing them to buy water that was not in their stores. And the conversion of the pound-dollar at 17.4 (everywhere about 15.5) just beat the whole impression. The last point from Anex is the return flight: the size of the seat corresponds to a side chair for a child with the front seat lying on you - the flight is only 4 hours.
Bottom line: I will go to the hotel to rest again, but not with the Anex-tour !! !
Of the minuses: monotonous food and a relatively small selection of dishes (while everything is delicious, you will not be hungry), we lived in a standard room on the 2nd floor. But for me it was not particularly noticeable, I'm not picky.
Pros: nice territory, well-groomed, cozy in the lobby. Youth hotel, active animation during the day, exercises, aqua aerobics in the sea, darts, dance lessons, yoga, in the evenings very cool show programs with guest artists, for 9 evenings there was only one Mr. Hotel competition. After the show, the animators take the guys to a disco. I didn’t have to be bored)) There is a gym with a beautiful view of the sea, small, but there is everything you need for training: exercise equipment, dumbbells, water, towels, TV. Cleaning every day: they gave 2 bottles of 0.6 water, fresh towels, shower gels, shampoos.
There was enough space on the beach for everyone, new mattresses and towels, a sufficient number of tables, I liked the colorful ottomans very comfortable. Wi-Fi is free and catches throughout the territory. We enjoyed our holiday and didn't want to leave! We wanted to extend, but unfortunately there were no available rooms. The hotel was 100% full. But at the same time, there were no queues in the dining room and there were enough seats. The view from the restaurant is chic you eat overlooking the sea! I recommend.
