We really liked the hotel. Three of us stayed in the Arabia room near the reception on the second floor. The hotel's beach is the best in Kendwa. We took breakfast. There is an alcohol market right outside the hotel gates and a fruit market a little further. Anyone who has normal queries should come here. Varadero and Sansibar were not even close.

Worst hotel I have ever been to. Opposite my room, builders worked around the clock, at night there was noise from perforators, it was impossible to sleep. To my remarks, they simply smiled and pretended not to understand me. The room is old, there is mold in the bathroom, the age of the hair dryer could not be determined, but it looks older than me.

Insects crawl on the floor.
The door to the bathroom did not physically close.
There was no TV remote control, and for a week no one brought it to me.
All my complaints at the reception were not responded to in any way.
In general, the bottom is broken.
Better to fly to Egypt than into this hole.

Hotel motto: Your feedback is important to us, but…. we will leave everything as it is.
We stayed at the hotel in the middle of November. Two years ago we rested on the beach of this hotel, because our choice was clear that we want to go here. We arrived at the hotel around 16.00 and check-in at the hotel took about 2-3 minutes. We booked a Coral bungalow and a room of the most budgetary forest category. The budget room was located on the side of the reception on the second floor where construction is actively underway. There was no discomfort and noise, as in principle, and neighbors, the building with 16 rooms was just us and another couple. Our room above the rooftops of nearby buildings had a view of the ocean. The room is small, the air conditioning worked well but very noisy. As for the second number of the bungalow, we were very lucky that he was at the end of all the bungalows, and therefore we practically did not see people. The bungalow was called Mozambique, it was in the garden, the view is very cool. The air conditioner worked quietly but also cooled just as quietly, that is, very weakly. On the third day, it began to flow, they turned to the reception for half an hour, everything was fixed. Cleaned normally towels all lay down every day. That's where the positives probably end. I want to note the disgusting work of some reception workers. Our room key stopped working every day at the same time, we changed it every day. Once they said to go to the room and wait for the master, but they simply scored and we waited for 40 minutes on the terrace after repeated, already more harsh treatment, they simply changed the key again, but the master never came. Meals: as many have already written, breakfast is something, I don’t even dare to call it that. One day there is something to take the other nothing at all edible for us. Moreover, there were omelettes every day, but they managed to just cook them half-baked. Since I don’t eat fried eggs and fried eggs, this was a complete minus for me. Saving delicious coffee with a bun or delicious fresh juices. For lunch and dinner, we went to nearby cafes, as there portions are larger and a little cheaper. Although I can say here the serving and the dishes are not bad. Modern utensils and European serving of dishes, but we tasted better in a nearby cafe on the right if you look at the beach. What else has subsided is the ban on bringing fruits and drinks into the territory. We once had a conflict over the fruits we bought, but then we realized that you can carry whatever you want in a backpack, the main thing is not in the bag
Beach: here, too, not everything went smoothly. The hotel sells places on the beach on weekends and we watched a picture of how our Slavs took places by the sea at 7 in the morning and then the manager simply cleaned their things and put other foreigners in their places. Well, then, as always, there were showdowns for places and other concerts. But this was only on weekends on the rest of the days until 10 am there were plenty of places on the first two lines, well, it was difficult to find a place from lunchtime. Local beach fights are annoying, but if you ignore them, they do not stick. In general, if I sum up, I would not go to Zanzibar anymore, there are many more Russian speakers, and when you go on vacation, you want to take a break from our speech and our mentality. The hotel as a whole is not bad, but if they didn’t just talk in words, but really changed something, it would be cool. The main advantage is the beach of this hotel, but otherwise it should be considered as a place to store your suitcase while you are relaxing.
And a little about the trip to Zanzibar. From Ukraine, a direct Sky up flight went well with refueling in Hurghada. What made me very happy was that this new airport is already more of a European standard with air conditioning. But what has completely disappeared is that when you go through passport control, you do not get a stamp in your passport, but when you buy a visa, you are given a check and stamped on it about arrival. We didn’t know and threw it out at the hotel and when we flew home we proved with a very huge scandal that we had bought a visa. So keep your check. And most importantly, when flying to Zanzibar, print out the forms at home to fill out for a visa, there are two of them and you will save an hour and a half, it took us 10 minutes to go through control. I don't even want to describe the host of Go Go from Join Up, just NO, we had problems during the transfer, so I will say that we were left alone with the problem. Although we paid a lot of money for an individual transfer, we almost missed our flight. Their task is only to make excursions and that's it.

Pros: very good location, located between very fashionable fives, you can watch from afar the territory and animation, in front of the hotel there is a good beach without high tides, a very good garden on the territory, everything is buried in flowers, beautiful trees, even baobabs. The rooms are fresh (we lived in the Arabian building), the design of the rooms is original, comfortable furniture, there is air conditioning and a fan, there was always hot water in the shower, a separate toilet and bathroom, the cleaning in the room is good, the only thing that is washed with very toxic products, after cleaning for a long time the smell of bleach lingers (maybe it's for the time of quarantine).

Cons: food and restaurant staff left a not very bright impression. We were going on a honeymoon trip, our vouchers were marked - just married (newlyweds). In all normal 4-star hotels for honeymooners, compliments are made from the hotel, at least the room is decorated upon arrival, champagne is there, fruit in the room. And then they gave the worst room unprepared for arrival, and had to negotiate for an additional fee to settle at least on the second floor, because. The first floor is completely walkable. The staff at the reception is pleasant, but the restaurant is very unfriendly.
We had breakfast and dinner (HB). Breakfast is very poor, the same every day, pancakes, scrambled eggs, bread, boiled eggs, inedible sausages, salad, sometimes some hot appetizer (beans, stewed vegetables, fried mushrooms), olives, juice, tea, coffee, cocoa, fruit salad. At first, the pancakes were served in the restaurant already fried and it was possible to take them without a queue, then they began to fry the pancakes one by one on the street and there was a huge queue for the pancakes, as each guest takes 4-6 pancakes per family. There were no desserts and pastries at breakfast at all, which is surprising for a foursome. So pancakes were the only sweet.
Dinner is a separate sad story. To attend dinner, we were given vouchers because we paid for breakfast and dinner. In the hotel restaurant, in addition to hotel guests, passers-by can also dine, the entrance to the hotel is completely open from the beach. So their waiters serve with joy, because they pay money. And we sat for an hour with a voucher and waited for the menu to be brought to us, then we waited for food for a long time. The choice of dinner with a la carte voucher is very limited, you can choose one starter, one main course and one soft drink. The menu is the same all the time. The menu has 5 types of appetizers and 3 main dishes that you can choose with a voucher, the rest is for money. That is, by and large, it is impossible to choose normal food for dinner with a voucher, I had to order the same thing for dinner for the entire rest of 11 days.
The waiters, even if you leave a tip, do not pay attention, you can leave a tip to one person who brought the menu, and he leaves and takes the order, then you run around looking for a new one. The waiters are inattentive. Constantly brought not what we order. A couple of times they took out the bill for food for some reason, and we had to prove that we didn’t have to pay because they gave us a voucher. And it turns out they lost the voucher somewhere and then ran around looking for it. The manager of the restaurant, Samuel, is a very unpleasant person. He constantly tried to deceive us, limited us and forbade us to choose seafood (squid, shrimp, octopus) as the main course for dinner, said that these dishes were not allowed on the voucher, only for money, which is not true. Each time we simply demanded to bring us a normal dinner, and not hummus with vegetables and chicken, as Samuel suggested to us.
In general, dinners were always a hassle for us and really spoiled the impression of the hotel. It is better to live with breakfast and dine for money in a variety of other places. By the way, the Sunset Hotel is nearby, although it’s a trio, but the dinners were excellent, one day we went to them for a buffet on Wednesday, there was an excellent choice of salads and local national dishes, and a lot of desserts, also excellent animations and a show program - Maasai dances, live national music and drummers. But in Kendwa Rocks with animation, it’s quite a disaster, even on Valentine’s Day they didn’t organize anything, they didn’t decorate the hotel and the beach, neither music, nor a festive program.
In all the hotels in the neighborhood, even in the Sunset troika, they arranged beauty, moved the tables to the beach, turned on the music, beautifully decorated festive tables, placed various photo zones and themed decorations. Nothing in Kendwa Rocks. For a foursome, this is a disgrace. We were forced to spend Valentine's Day in the neighborhood Sunset, because. in Kendwa Rosk there was darkness and silence. From the animation in Kendva rocks, only a disco on Saturdays, where many strangers come and wander around the hotel until the morning, which is not safe, because. A lot of people use drugs there.
Security is another minus of the hotel. There seems to be security, but she most often sleeps. Anyone who wants to enter the hotel and the beach can pass, and this is definitely not a plus for the hotel. In general, the hotel is definitely not worth the money. Up to four in service and food does not pull.

The hotel was chosen for its location. We had complaints about the settlement. When we arrived at the hotel, the two of us were settled in a single room, at the reception we were told that this was agreed with the tour operator, in turn, the tour operator confirmed that the room should be a double room. We told the tour operator and reception to sort it out themselves.

When we arrived at the hotel, the two of us were settled in a single room, at the reception we were told that this was agreed with the tour operator, in turn, the tour operator confirmed that the room should be a double room. We told the tour operator and reception to sort it out themselves. As a result, we were moved to a double room without any additional payments. The disadvantage of the room was that the beds were separate and it was not possible to move them. There was also no TV in the room and no wi-fi. There was wi-fi in the hotel but it was weak. The location of the hotel is good, the beach is good, the territory is normal, for a 3 * hotel this is not bad at all. As for the hotel itself, there is an old and a new building, construction work is underway, the hotel is developing, it is being improved, the territory is planted with greenery, so everything is not bad. The only negative, our windows overlooked the construction site, but for us this was not such a minus, since we were on the beach during the day. In general, the place where we rested is a small African village, there were shops and restaurants near the hotel, but they can hardly be called shops and restaurants. These are, rather, stalls and canteens that did not have an extensive menu, but this is all natural and expected, since this is Africa. At the same time, everything is within walking distance. Taxis are available right next to the hotel. Breakfast was included in the tour, they are hearty, but very monotonous. The food is not bad, but every day is the same. We rested for 3 weeks, and in the last days it was not possible to eat it. Basically for breakfast they have omelettes and everything that was connected with eggs, as well as beans, jam butter. There were also cereals, sausages, some stews. We did not have a variety of fruits. As for the guide, he met us at the airport, left his viber number in case we needed anything, we never saw him again. We were a little nervous on the way back, since we had a 1.5 hour drive from the hotel to the airport, the transfer was delayed by almost an hour, we were already starting to worry that we would not be in time for the plane, we arrived back to back. Considering that this is a 3 * hotel, everything is not bad at all.

I always read reviews before traveling. They help me a lot and decided that it would be right to leave a review for me. This hotel was chosen because of the diving center located on its territory. This hotel was chosen because of the diving center located on its territory. And of course read the reviews of tourists. We were a group of 6 people (all adults). Haven't regretted a single day!
The hotel has rooms for different amounts. Ours cost 960 ye for 10 nights with breakfast (the reserve was made in the summer). Although it was located in the far row from the ocean, we were satisfied. The territory of the hotel is well-groomed and green. The room is cramped. Two beds, table. There is no closet, only shelves for things. But clean. Great balcony with seating. The furniture is cheerful (not just wooden, but made of thick beams, you see, so as not to be dragged away : ))) We spent the whole day by the insanely beautiful ocean. Kendwa is a hotel where you don't feel problems with low tide. The ocean does not go far and you can swim all day. In the morning they clean the beach, but tourists allow themselves to bury everything they can in the sand, and this upsets... Very safe. Security is always (night and day) throughout the territory. There are merchants, but they are not allowed to approach the sunbed area. The breakfasts were great. No worse than in any other country. Level service. All are benevolent. But dinners were expensive. P. e. We went to a cafe not far from the hotel. Seafood is excellent and inexpensive. Walked in the evenings and everything was safe. It will be boring with children, there is no entertainment for them. In general, I highly recommend. Beautiful ocean and friendly people.
