The hotel mainly rests the British of retirement age, a few Poles and Russians. There are few children, so you relax both mentally and physically! The hotel area is small but very cozy. We took only breakfasts, on the assumption that we will not be attached to the hotel, and we will travel, which means we will have lunch and dinner in different taverns. Breakfasts are typical for 2 *, fruits, yogurt, boiled eggs, beans, pancakes, for me a good and hearty breakfast. As for the room - the room is small with a view of the mountains, they are reluctant to change to a sea view, but we understand that the hotel was full, and it is physically impossible to place everyone in rooms with a sea view, "sea view" and so you can have every day on the beach . By the way, as for the beach, there is a narrow strip of sandy beach near the hotel itself, but if you go a little to the left or right, you can safely sit on the beach, buy beach towels and umbrellas, and sunbathe. Air conditioning, safe - everything is paid, air conditioning 7 euros / day, safe -10 euros / week. But we never used the air conditioner, in the evenings the breeze blew - it was comfortable. The only negative is wild mosquitoes, but nothing can be done about them, we bought a fumigator in the market at the hotel, they didn’t get us anymore. As for the island, it's just a fairy tale! This is not the first time we have been in Greece, we have been to Crete and Rhodes, but Zakynthos sunk into our souls! We traveled around the island, we took 2 excursions from our guide - a sightseeing tour by bus with a sea walk through the blue caves, and we went to the Askos Zoo, the excursions were excellently organized. Anyone who likes a relaxing holiday - welcome to the Astoria Hotel in Zakynthos.

We visited this hotel with children - 13 and 10 years old, we were in Greece and Zakynthos for the first time. If our friends had not gone there last year, we would never have even thought about this island. We lived in a family room, a large room divided into two parts, one has two single beds, the other has two sofas, a safe and air conditioning for an extra charge - 6 euros per day, bring your own hairdryer.

We lived in a family room, a large room divided into two parts, one has two single beds, the other has two sofas, a safe and air conditioning for an extra charge - 6 euros per day, bring your own hairdryer. For a kopeck piece, the service seemed decent to us, the owners are attentive, the staff is friendly, the hotel has a homely atmosphere. The beach is sandy, the width is small, but since there are not many guests in the hotel, there is enough space. The hotel is located near the center of the village of Alykes, where you can eat deliciously in taverns, the breakfast is poor at the hotel, we bought groceries in the supermarket, there is a refrigerator in the room. We dined several times at the hotel for an extra charge, delicious and very large portions, many tables are located in the fresh air, and also with a view of the sea, the appetite is serious there, the hotel has delicious Greek wine, I advise you to try it. There is nothing for children in the hotel, but since ours are already quite large, this was not a problem. We were completely satisfied with the price-quality of the hotel.

We rested with a friend at the Astoria Hotel, on the island of Zakynthos. We arrived early in the morning and therefore we had to wait several hours for check-in, we were not particularly upset, we had been to many places in Europe, so we knew that this was a normal practice in hotels. We were given a room with a sea view as we had booked.

The room is quite decent, we expected less from a two star hotel. Everything works perfectly, everywhere everything is clean and the furniture is chosen with taste. The room has air conditioning, refrigerator, kettle, coffee pot, crockery (a little). The bathroom is comfortable with functional fixtures. I really liked the small territory of the hotel, it doesn’t bother me that in order to leave the hotel you have to walk huge distances, but here, on the contrary, it’s like being at home, you go out and immediately head to the village. We really liked it there, a lot of great cafes, taverns, bars, souvenir shops and ordinary shops. The hotel has a spacious good beach, sandy. Sunbeds and umbrellas for a fee (about 5 euros). There is also a wild beach nearby, unequipped, but quite decent. The food at the hotel is good, there is a variety, although not the largest, but there is plenty to choose from. I don't eat at home anyway. There was an omelet, boiled eggs, jams, yogurt, beans, coffee, it seemed like there was something else. We had breakfasts, we dined in taverns, and for dinner we had some kind of fruit, but we did not get better. In the evenings, we either just walked or went to sit in some bar. We didn’t go on excursions much, we were at the Navaggio bay, friends took us there.
