The service is also up to the mark. Heated rooftop pool. There is a delivery to Palma (according to the schedule, you need to mark your time at a separate counter near the entrance). We had a case where there were more outgoing tourists than seats in the bus leaving Palma (our undisciplined tourists decided to leave sooner or later). The hotel sent an additional bus, but we had to wait about 15-20 minutes.
There is a Russian-speaking employee at the reception desk.
The food is not particularly varied, but you won't go hungry. Alcohol is expensive.
Upon arrival, you will have to leave a deposit - I don’t remember how much, but this deposit can then be credited towards payment of bills from the bar (and there are many bars in the hotel. You order drinks there and say "bill for such and such a room").
If you order a safari on jeeps, specify the landing place in advance - because. the hotel will be the last one on the car route (if you don’t book all the seats in the car) and it may turn out that you are sitting in very uncomfortable places (you must go on a safari - you won’t feel such sensations anywhere).
Of the amenities of the hotel, it is also worth noting the proximity of the shopping center - Ibn Batuta - one of the largest shopping centers in Dubai. Also, if you do not take full board or "AII", then you can eat in the shopping center - there is a whole food court of more than 20 fast food restaurants.
Metro is nearby. Exit the hotel and go through the shopping center to the subway. The fare is not high (I do not remember what). But if you go by taxi, then the price from Dubai Mall will be about 40 dollars. (all on the counter).
As for clothes - as it seemed to us - there are no special problems (they can look sideways, but no one will say anything).
As for a taxi - if you can't catch a taxi, then the "rooks" stop - you can negotiate with them for a reasonable price.

I rested in July 2011 at the Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel, the hotel is wonderful, 5 * guaranteed, the staff is polite, the room is cleaned daily, the food is excellent, the choice is huge. The hotel does not have its own beach, but they drove on a hotel shuttle to a palm branch to the Ocean Club. There is a very good elite beach with a restaurant.

Also from the hotel there are shuttles to Dubai Mall and Emirates Mall. Everything is free. The hotel has a disco, but it gathers mainly a lot of prostitutes and locals, so I don’t advise you to go there, otherwise they immediately mistake you for a girl of easy virtue. At other discos, this is easier, but this one shows such glory. The rest was 5+, you can safely go to this hotel, but one thing that embarrassed me already upon returning home, and I didn’t notice right away at the hotel, is the loss of diamond earrings, which until the last day were in place, and then miraculously evaporated, perhaps got to one of the staff. In a nutshell, this hotel is amazing! And in more detail, then... Swimming pool, gym, rooms - super (both for smokers and not) !! ! The food is great, my sister and I had enough!! !
