2. Not very friendly staff.
3. When leaving the hotel, we had to pay for gas. water that we did not drink. It is useless to prove something to them.
4. There were no slippers, and the floor was cold.
5. This hotel is not for Russian tourists, tourists who do not know English well, but for business people.
BUT!! ! Do not forget that these inconveniences can only get you in the evenings, and then the Emirates are at your feet. We have been everywhere a tourist can go.
We went to the Ferrari Park ourselves. I will share the secret of how to save a significant amount! From the hotel take a taxi for 20 dirhs to get to the bus station. There at the box office to buy a ticket to Abu Dhabi. Drive to Abu Dhabi 2 hours. There, after getting off the bus, approach any guard and ask where the bus to the ferrary park is (where is a bus to ferraryworld). If it doesn’t work out, look for a crossing over the roadway, cross the road along it and you are at the bus stop where this bus runs. I don’t remember his number, there are tables with numbers and routes of buses. And back in the same way.
You need to take a taxi to the mosque from the bus station.
Tours of Sharjah-in the Mega Mall near the supermarket, a guy is sitting who sells tickets for the tour. bus. He travels all day long to all destinations. places and you can get off at any stop, look, and then take the next excursion. bus and go to new attractions! It is much cheaper than taking tours from a guide, especially since you put on headphones on the bus and listen to everything about the country. The ticket is valid for 24 hours.
About the beach. We visited the free-nonsense-no umbrellas, no comfort, so expect things to be stolen. were on the golden-didn't like-old sunbeds and towels. Therefore, we all Russian-speaking tourists went to another beach (I forgot the name)
And lastly, learn English, without it, darkness. I was just horrified how these Indians and Filipinos (all the servants and everywhere) bred ours!
Good luck and have a good rest!!! !
In general, I can not say anything bad about the hotel. The staff is not only smiling, but also responsive, but only in English . . They cleaned, changed linen as expected. I can’t judge objectively about breakfasts since we were in Ramadan, so they were brought to our room before 7 am and every day the same thing or nothing good. But I think at the usual time at the buffet you can choose something to eat. In all other respects, the holiday was simply fabulous, even despite the fact that UIA sent our luggage to Moscow, and we received it in Dubai only on the 5th day of rest)))
Beaches: we were on Golden Beach - I liked it, the beach from the Carlton Hotel - if you want to swim in the pool, you can, because the beach is disgusting with sinking sand under your feet, where millions of fragments of shells dig into. The children refused to swim in the sea, so they spent the whole day in the pools. Open Beach-I really liked the sea-water is cleaner than on hotel beaches, but there are more people. But for free and not tied to the bus, which for some reason did not come earlier than 14.45.
Meals in cafes are practically for free, prices are lower than in our cafes, and portions are 3 times larger (one is enough for 2 adults).
Be sure to go to Al Majas Park on the waterfront - a large children's amusement park and a laser show of fountains from 19:00. There is also the third largest 100-meter fountain in the world.
Shopping - next to a mega mall, a lot of cheap shops near the city center - there is nothing to do in it. If you stand facing him, then you need to go to the right of him on the same side, after 80 meters from him, cheap shopping centers begin, where everything is. Between them, I recommend the Max store, which has inexpensive and fairly modern clothes.
We went to Dubai on our own from the bus station for 7 dirhams per adult, you don’t have to pay for children 6 years old. Tickets for Burj Khalifa were ordered 2 weeks before departure on their official website - it's 3 times cheaper - I highly recommend it. The fountains were filmed from the Mega Mall cafe on the top floor - the name is like Sunday, I don’t remember exactly.
If you are with children, take them to the aquarium in the Dubai Mall, they also offer a mini-zoo, I highly recommend it.
Do not buy fur coats in Dubai, especially in the Abrazh center, as everyone here recommends - these are the most popular expensive centers, there are much cheaper, especially in Sharjah. Electronics can be bought in normal centers, we took a tablet in the Mega Mall for only 200 dirhams (1600 rubles) - it works absolutely fine.
For everything about everything in 9 days for a family of 3 people spent 300 dollars, and 500 for clothes. So if you know where to go, then the rest is almost free.
Let's start with the fact that immediately upon arrival, a gigantic cockroach was noticed on the central porch of the hotel, which, when we unloaded from the taxi, noisily disappeared somewhere under the bench. The driver handed us an envelope containing casually copied leaflets with information about excursions and prices. The letter itself, on behalf of the supposedly hotel guide, was in English, well, that's nothing, we speak a little English, only the contact phone number of this guide did not answer day or night. So we didn't get to see the guide.
At the hotel reception, we unsuccessfully tried for 3 days to get a map of Sharjah. They didn't get it, the boy at the counter said that they ended yesterday, and it is not known when they will be again. We have never succeeded in finding out exactly in which direction we need to move to the market or somewhere else. Different boy-girls at the counter all the time called different directions.
This hotel does not have any free buses to the beach or to Dubai. Either on foot or by taxi.
The cost of our tour included only breakfast, and thank God that no more! Throughout our stay, the set of dishes did not change in any way, the unfortunate croissant had to wait for 40-50 minutes, as if for some reason they were not baked by the time of breakfast; sliced cucumbers, tomatoes and cheese looked like they were left over from yesterday's dinner, i. e. practically inedible. It was impossible to drink coffee at all - NESCAFE from an iron can. When serving coffee, only a cup was given to the table, sometimes a spoon was given to it. The saucer, like an unnecessary anachronism, was present only once (! ) times in 15 days! Sugar, which was in a vase on the table, was immediately carried away when coffee or tea was served. Apparently, the waiters were familiar with the difficult situation with sugar in our state and suspected that we had come specially to stock up on their sugar.
Separately, I want to note the cleaning in the room. In a hotel with 4 * for more than two weeks, NEVER bed linen was changed in the room! Towels were changed three times, more often they were simply taken away without a return. Or they simply folded the wet ones and hung them beautifully. Fortunately, there was a locker with clean linen next to our room, from there we took our own towels. For all the time, ONE time they brought a small roll (it can be seen, someone's leftover) of toilet paper, and then they took it away. Apparently they decided that paper is also bad with us and there is nothing to play around with.
Of the two elevators, one was not working for half a day.
The furniture in the room was tattered, the curtains had probably not been washed for a year, onions could be grown in the dirt on the windowsill.
Terrible hotel, would not recommend to anyone!
