The price-quality ratio is normal, since we booked 3 months in advance and paid everything in advance. In general, during the holidays, housing prices in the Carpathians are very high!
I was in Vodohray and I really liked it (I was without children with my husband). So here it is! Nothing close to what lady_boss-nata writes!! ! Please note that the two previous reviews posted the same photos, only one person responds with enthusiasm, and the other with a negative! And what an unfortunate angle they chose for the photo of Kolyba! And it’s really very beautiful inside, all kinds of animals and very tasty! Nata, learn to live positively, and then you will have only positive emotions both in your work and in your work!! !
I want to share my impressions of the trip, no matter how it sounds, but I'm delighted. We went on the weekend of September 10 and 11, it is a pity that the work schedule did not allow us to stay longer. Yes, the road is 12 hours and the minibus is tiring, especially with children, but it's worth it. Went with a friend and kids. Arriving in Ivano-Frankivsk, we phoned the hotel administrator, saying that we had already arrived (we asked to confirm the arrival by calling in advance). Having reached the station, we took a taxi, because. we didn’t know which way to go, it cost us 10 UAH to get to the taxi complex. We were met by Vasily, a very responsive and pleasant man, he settled us in a suite, in this newly built house (pre-booked). The children immediately attacked the 2nd floor with a soft sofa, but we, having thrown our bags, immediately gathered to dine in Kolyba. They were so hungry that they ordered everything that their hearts desired, but they didn’t calculate that the portions here are the same as in Kyiv, everything is in abundance - tasty, plentiful and satisfying. I was glad that we didn't have to go far.
After, we went for a walk with the children in the vicinity in the vicinity. The children had previously bought rubber boots, and they did not lose, they found where to use them)) We agreed with a local guy about an excursion the next day and devoted the rest of the time to rest. The room had all the amenities, and tea and hair dryer and refrigerator, microwave, washing machine, it was tested on the day of arrival, for washing children's things)))) and more, 2 bathrooms with heated floors, which was very pleasing. And the sofa near the fireplace creates such a pleasant coziness and atmosphere. The presence of satellite television smoothed out the fuss of the evening for children with cartoons, but I immediately used the Internet and shared photo reports with my relatives. Yes, I agree that there was some water, there was a smell, but people live and no one died from it, and the fact that hair and nails come out is your problem, because. in such a short period, changes do not occur abruptly, we had no problems with this. The next morning, as we were promised, the guide Nikolai was already waiting, with whom we went to the forest, he showed excellent places for mushroom clearings, went to another village, rode a local diesel train, came to dine in a hut and again on the road. The most beautiful arched bridges, the Prut and Potik rivers, the Church of the Virgin, ski lifts and ski jumps, by the way, there is a valley on the ski lifts, where you can take pictures in Hutsul national costumes for a nominal fee. The kids loved it so much, not to mention us. And the air is clean, you can not breathe, especially in the forest. In general, I post photos, you will see for yourself. In total, we found about 20 km per day, we were so tired that we simply could not master the sauna.
I also wanted to say about the prices, the same usual as in Kiev stores. If you go to a restaurant, you will have to fork out there, but it was not a pity for such a tasty treat ! ! We were satisfied with everything. There were some cons, but they were outweighed by huge pros.
We think to make up for what we did not manage to do in February, let's see what life and rest are like there in the winter. Thank you for your hospitality, I liked it very much and the people are pleasant, the rooms are cozy, and Vorokhta itself. There are downsides, I repeat, but given that the building is new, this is forgivable, everything does not happen at once.
* Yes, about the pigs, the children also really liked them, as did the girl “lady_boss-nata”.
P. S. as we learned from the locals, there are 2 hotels and 2 owners nearby, that half of the photos that were posted here do not relate to the new “Vodograi” in any way ((.
I’ll say in advance that we chose a vacation spot for a long time and meticulously, we gave preference to the Carpathians (prices were pleased compared to Crimea). In the picture of this Vodograi, everything looked very nice, their benefits were beautifully painted + the presence of a good website and the Internet connected to them did their job (I made an advance payment and we went... in general, we didn’t get to them easily (12 hours by train and more than 2 hours in a crowded bus, and also a taxi around the village). We get out of the taxi in general, dial the administrator, and he says that he is not in the city now, he does not live there, he just put video surveillance and is watching! his zhinochka, as he himself put it, cleans the room for us, which turned out to be one with a double bed, fortunately he doesn’t take money right away... as soon as they entered, the smell was somehow incomprehensible, especially in the bathroom, but then it almost disappeared, which did not cause suspicions in vain!
settled us in a room on the 2nd floor of the "wooden" house. on the site they had written about the iron, hair dryer, kettle, fridge... fridge and kettle were on the first floor. not in the room! but it's still a trifle. so you go down from the room to the first floor, take a kettle with you, go into the bath, take a cup of water into it, since there is no tap on the first floor, and in the room the washbasin is so small that you can’t put the kettle under it, go downstairs, wait while it boils, you take the kettle, go up to the room, pour water into the cups (well, or you go take them with you downstairs and climb the flimsy stairs with boiling water in the cups), go down to return the kettle to its place and, finally, return yourself to the starting position . . there was no hairdryer and iron at all, as soon as Zhinochka left to bring them, she never returned... she rubbed her hair with a towel, since it was warm enough outside to walk with a wet head.
The kolyba about which it is written turned out to be a cheap tavern (with accompanying aromas and Kiev prices) with ill-mannered staff consisting of one guy and ghost cooks (we only saw one in passing). they cooked really well there, but the smell....
second day. other inhabitants of Vodograi dispersed in a manner and stopped discharging water. the smell in the bathroom became crisp and clear. the water smelled. hydrogen sulfide! at first we joked that this water was mineral and healthy, but then our nails began to exfoliate and our hair began to fall out. I got the impression that you were washing with shit! , I didn’t have the strength to brush my teeth and wash my face with this water, they bought mineral water for these purposes. the shower became torture, the hair and body smelled of shit... even if you boil this water five times in a row, the smell did not go away, even the coffee did not stop. imagine a sauna with such water! ! we didn't risk it.
there was no light in Vorokhta, the hut never opened. . . the hungry went around. . .
in addition to all this, the house turned out to be completely made of drywall, only the outer walls were sheathed with wood. when you walk on the floor, the wardrobe shakes, when you sneeze in the bathroom, you can hear it near the kettle, when, excuse me, you are doing ****, and at the same time you just breathe hard, the neighbors knock on the wall...
I will also say that we never saw the owner of all this! the phone that is listed on the site belongs to an agent who is in Kyiv, a woman, a zhinochka, who opened the number, a maid, and a man with a mysterious name (Vasyl or Stepan, answered the phone once so, once so) just collects money and lives at Chope.
among the pluses: a view of wild boars in the paddock in front of the window and a handsome horse) but this does not compensate for the rotten water (
left on the third day.
p. s. then it dawned on them that they didn’t have a fire extinguisher hanging, nothing at all. there are doubts whether they even have permission for this type of activity...
Rating 2 for wild boars and a horse, and the fact that it was at least clean, but about the water, the cleanliness is still debatable...
