In London, the hotel was the Royal Hyde Park hotel - we were deeply impressed with our Partner! This hotel, accredited for 3 *, is a finished hut with an iron soldier's bed in a single room, walls without soundproofing made of paper, moreover, stained with suitcases, we calculated the size of the living room in a single room approx. - 1.6m. x2.0m = about 3.2 sq. m. But, on the other hand, now I have an understanding of the “Small Bathroom”: this is when sitting on the toilet, without a good stretch, leaning forward a little over the washbasin, calmly, brushing your teeth or washing your face at the same time as the main occupation !! ! Moreover, standing is difficult, the washbasin is tiny. If I hadn't tried it myself, I wouldn't have believed anyone! The fact that you need to wait until cold water drains in a hot tap is normal since ancient Soviet times, it’s not considered, it’s not scary... But for one towel for all procedures, a whole small bar of soap is attached, 2-3 times smaller than a match box.
But the service is the best in the world! At the reception we were met by a nice girl with a rough English accent and it turned out that she was from near Ternopil, Ukraine. The next shift at the reception is a girl from Tatarstan, Russia, and then from Moldova. Everyone is nice and normal. Very young Romanian women clean the rooms.
Considering that an Indian driver drove us from the Victoria railway station, we did not see the British. Even in the only bus on which we decided to get to Piccadilly, a Ukrainian builder from Ivano-Frankivsk turned out to be nearby. In general, as in any European capital - if you want to see the locals - go to the outskirts.
The location of the hotel is excellent! From Hyde Park 150-200 meters, two underground stations are even closer, it is really in the center of London! It takes 20 minutes to get to Madame Tussauds by bus number 24 in one direction, and if you go to Piccadilly, then by bus 94 in the other, about 20 minutes. There are a lot of different restaurants with good food. There are several Italian, lots of Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Indian. There are also English pubs - they are hard to find... but you can.
Breakfast is also included, but we didn't see it. These are probably those mini-croissants with a piece of canned plum butter and jams with tea or coffee-shmurdyak. Coffee, which is served everywhere - it is impossible to drink if you order coffee, not espresso.
By the way, after booking a hotel, money will be withdrawn from your credit card in a couple of days. Just in case, to make it harder to jump off if you read this review!
Don't forget to take your power adapter with you! England has a different plug. If you forget, you will be left with a discharged phone and laptop!
If you don’t have money and you flew by low-cost airlines and want to see everything and almost for free, you won’t show anyone a photo of your hotel room (although you won’t be able to anyway, nothing will fit in the frame, because to take a picture, you need a little step back, and there is nowhere to go in a room of 3.2 square meters! ) - this is for you. If there is a bit of human dignity, which is less and less common in our time, you better reconsider more hotels. In our case, it was a mistake for which I will remember for a long time and I will not save so much even in difficult times.
