The result exceeded expectations - no one wanted to leave at all, neither me nor husband or child. Emotions overflow, I want to tell more, in general, I'll start in order.
Firstly, gorgeous, almost pristine nature, the purest awesome air and sea, the breadth of space - beauty! Flora and fauna were also surprised - a bunch of all kinds of living creatures, fragrant herbs, flowers. And wild pheasants in the steppe are generally a miracle, I have never seen them in their natural environment before, only in the zoo. By the way, on the territory of the base there is also a small zoo - there are three African ostriches, a peacock, a donkey, bellied pigs, chickens and roosters. It was funny to watch and feed them, and it is interesting not only for the child, but also for us adults.
Secondly, food, the quality of which is very important for us. I am very sensitive to hygiene and quality, so even at first we were looking for housing with our own kitchen (well, we mostly don’t trust the owners what to do). "Valok" initially attracted attention with reviews and a video from the dining room, it seemed that here you can try a vacation with meals (the kitchen is still not comme il faut on vacation). So they didn't go wrong. The food was very tasty and varied, we were pleasantly surprised. Because the quality of food is very important to us. They gave homemade eggs and an omelet from them, pasta and mashed potatoes like at home, delicious borscht, pilaf, pancakes, fish, meat, chicken - you can’t list everything! Baking had already begun before our departure (we arrived, as it were, in the off-season) - well, very tasty buns and pies : ). In general, the food, in our opinion, is 5+!
Thirdly, very attentive staff. They always go forward, just ask, they do everything instantly. And here is the great merit of the director, Tamara Mikhailovna, who literally puts her soul into the boarding house and quickly responds to all needs, organizing the work of employees well. It can be seen that vacationers are put "at the forefront" and the task is to make their vacation enjoyable. Therefore, special thanks to Tamara Mikhailovna for her attention and attentiveness! Thanks again to the administrator Natalia and the girls from the dining room - well done!
In general, you can write a lot more - about the fact that hot springs and salt lakes are nearby - great entertainment and new experiences. The sea here is gorgeous, not at all like the stereotypes about Azov - it is clean and deep enough almost immediately off the coast. True, we swam only one day, because. the rest of the time it was cool and windy (well, the weather was not very lucky, it’s not the season, after all, and you won’t guess), but that was enough to understand. The beach is huge, sand-shell rock and a bunch of shells - is it nice to pick them up for both children and adults? . The territory is large - about 6 hectares. There is a cafe where we ordered ostrich meat and an ostrich egg omelette. There is also a children's room, but the animator, as we were told, will be from mid-June. They are going to install a swimming pool on the territory - it was already brought in, after our departure it was supposed to be bled off. Own water, from a well, they say that it is mineral (they did analyzes and samples), although it smells of hydrogen sulfide, we set it to weather slightly, drank it and tea, we didn’t feel it at all. There are different living conditions - we lived in a building, in a 3-bed standard on the 3rd floor, there are also suites and junior suites in a bungalow. We specially took the hull so that the sea could be seen. Of course, the conditions are standard, but we are unpretentious people. Food and the sea are more important to us, and marble washbasins and golden toilet bowls do not worry us much : ) So the conditions are quite decent. Of course, if someone wants to find fault, they will find flaws even in the standard. Therefore, this review is only our subjective opinion. We really liked it, although there is even something to compare with. It is especially good here for those who want to improve their own health or improve their child's health - excellent ecology, delicious food, silence and harmony with nature. Very good for those who are looking for a relaxing holiday, away from the hustle and bustle. For those who crave entertainment, it can be boring - although this is also conditional - you can find something to your liking: go fishing, sit in a cafe, chat with new people. For 6 years Bo Valok has become a favorite vacation spot for our family and our friends. Here you really relax from the bustle of the city, noise, asphalt and roaring cars. For us, the main thing on vacation is: a clean, warm sea, a free beach, the purest steppe air, all this is on Valka. We always have a rest in June in a 4-storey building in 2-bed rooms that have all the conditions: TV, air conditioning, refrigerator, toilet, shower, hot water, cold water, boiler.

For 6 years Bo Valok has become a favorite vacation spot for our family and our friends. Here you really relax from the bustle of the city, noise, asphalt and roaring cars. For us, the main thing on vacation is: a clean, warm sea, a free beach, the purest steppe air, all this is on Valka. We always have a rest in June in a 4-storey building in 2-bed rooms that have all the conditions: TV, air conditioning, refrigerator, toilet, shower, hot water, cold water, boiler. The rooms are cozy with sea views and the main thing is that everything works clearly. A light bulb burned out in our room and they replaced it immediately. The bed, by the way, of good quality was changed after 4 days, the bathroom is compact but comfortable. The food is excellent because the chefs are good and most importantly the products are all from their own farm. I liked the goat's milk, an omelet with ostrich eggs. The beach is super, free, the distance between sunbathers is 10-20 meters, plastic sunbeds with mattresses, "Fungi", benches. For children in general, a class, a mini zoo with a donkey, peacocks, goats, ducks, ostriches. There is a children's playroom. The staff and the administration of the base love vacationers and take care of them around the clock, providing them with a wonderful holiday. Of course, recent events in the country have affected the work of Valk due to its location on the border of the Crimea and the Kherson region. There were temporary problems with getting to the base from Strelkovy. In 2014, they stopped by from Feodosia. Now everything has been restored. The Russian checkpoint was moved beyond the base along the old border (Crimean Autonomous Region - Kherson Region), and our checkpoints in Strelkove and one in front of the base. Travel without problems, the usual registration. The functions of block posts are purely observational, usually necessary in the border zone. There are no interventions in the rest and work of the base. Tanks, guns, too, everything is quiet and calm. For those who love discos, night bars, stormy, noisy entertainment, there is no need to go, here is a rest for children and those who love the sea, air and silence. The cost of vouchers thanks to the system of discounts is much cheaper. We'll come next year.

I have been resting in Valka for 7 years in a row. Why? : 1) fantastic sea and nature; 2) silence; 3) eco-friendly place + secluded beach. Rested in all buildings. One-story building - see photo (2012, suite No. 10 - idiotic layout of the bathroom, water pours on the door that cannot be closed, the locks and the switch in the toilet are broken - sat closed in the toilet without light until the locksmith arrived for 40 minutes, screens let insects, spiders through , hanging in all corners, the maids do not notice, cleaning on demand is not planned, it is poorly cleaned between arrivals.
