All inclusive - one name. The food is worse than in the cafeteria. There are no fruits. Not even french fries.
Turkish and Egyptian 5 stars are much better hotels than here.
It makes no sense to overpay for all inclusive. It is better to eat in paid restaurants. For those who have all inclusive tables and chairs in the open air bar in the sun. When the paid bars are all neatly closed.
Beach...another story even you have to pay for sunbeds...
There are also other disadvantages. This hotel corresponds to Turkish 3 stars.
I celebrated my birthday in December. The weather is very comfortable.
I don't see any disadvantages. There is only one - it's an elevator! You have to wait a long time.
Other pluses!
Location: the best. Nearby there is everything, shops, shopping malls, metro, fast food.
Sea: warm 26, white sand. The beach is next to the hotel.
Service: there were 3 compliments from the hotel to the room. Very nice!
Thanks to Said at the reception, everything is top notch!
Tours: wow. Be sure to take the Obzornaya from the guide. we also took to the La Perla show, also great.
Food: very good and varied, you will never go hungry. Theme nights daily.
WILL DEFINITELY RETURN!
When checking out, they are asked to pay 20 dirhams per day from the room, some kind of tourist tax. But our operator Lik-tour solved this issue, and we didn’t pay anything.
In general, I can recommend this hotel to everyone.
Its biggest plus is its location.
The Jumeirah coast is one of the busiest places in Dubai. There are places to walk and walk around.
Amwaj Rotana overlooks the Persian Gulf. The beauty! : )
The hotel has its own outdoor pool. On the terrace next to it there is a bar where you can relax in a relaxed atmosphere.
The rooms are large and very stylish.
Another of the biggest pluses of the hotel is the food. The entire global network Rotana is famous for its nutrition. It is always very diverse: from seafood to oriental sweets, there is even a zone for vegetarians.
The hotel also has several themed restaurants: Italian cuisine and Japanese.
Dubai Marina Mall is just 5 minutes' drive from the hotel. Those. shopping relatively close! You can safely start and buy whatever your heart desires!
What immediately pleased the eye was a chic tall Christmas tree in the hotel lobby) There was a large plasma screen in the room, bathrobes hung in the bathroom, slippers were brought after our things, a sliding wardrobe with lighting, a safe for free, a tea and coffee set, water and a full mini-bar for every taste, but everything is quite expensive. We immediately warned that we would not use the mini-bar, a deposit of $ 200 was taken from us, but if you do not spend the entire amount, the remainder will be returned in dirhams, so it’s better to go to the reception on the eve of departure and ask for a printout of the bill for drinks, services , which you used, so as not to rush about later just before leaving the hotel. And yes . . the beds were also very impressive, two beds were each almost like a 2-bed with snow-white linen, 2 pillows on each bed and a very soft synthetic winterizer blanket)
Hotel
Amvazh is located at the very end of Jumeirah, behind it is the recently opened Ocean View and a small Sheraton, it belongs to the very famous Rotana chain, there are a lot of hotels of this chain in the UAE, it was opened in 2010, completely new with good quality furniture and decoration. The hotel has 3 restaurants, the main Horizon and 2 a la carte, we had half board, it’s very convenient that you can have lunch or dinner at will, the restaurant was always greeted with a smile, wrote down the room number and escorted to a free table, they were always interested in where we would eat , indoors or outdoors. There was no crazy variety, in addition to appetizers, salads and hot dishes, there was always trout or salmon m / s, for lunch or dinner there was always a huge dish with king prawns and a dish with mussels and oysters. Of the fruits, there were always watermelons, 2 varieties of melon, kiwi, sometimes there was chopped strawberries, very tasty desserts. On the 3rd floor there is a swimming pool, a pool bar and an open part of the Italian restaurant Rosso. The pool is deep enough, where you can get towels and go to the beach by going down through the annex on the elevator.
Beach
Amvazh is considered a beach hotel, but as such, the hotel does not have its own beach, as well as the territory, the beach is near the city, there are no umbrellas or sunbeds on it, vacationers come with their own hotel towels. It didn’t bother us at all, the weather was very comfortable, there was no need for an umbrella, the water was about 20-21 degrees, it’s cool for me)) But there were a lot of bathers, both children and adults, local Arabs and tourists. There is one caveat, there is construction going on along the beach line, what is being built is unknown, but they say that it will be for a long time, again, the construction does not interfere with anything, I did not even hear any loud noises.
walk street
Right next to the hotel along the coast there is a promenade, an amazing place for its atmosphere, I really enjoyed walking there. There are a lot of various cafes of different cuisines, shops, salons and boutiques along the entire promenade, it extends to the Le Royal Meredian Mina Siyahi hotel. There are a lot of people until very late at night, even with very small children and with strollers, and perhaps even more local residents, they sit, relax in cafes, communicate, such a calm, measured life...
Dubai Marina
Another amazing place for walking is literally a 5-minute walk from the hotel, this is an artificial canal with bridges and an embankment, which also has many different restaurants and cafes, there is also a yacht club and a marina. In the evening, this is generally an indescribable sight, the lights of skyscrapers are reflected in the water of the canal . . in general, you need to see it with your own eyes) buy a ticket for this taxi.
In general, for the full 7 days of vacation, we managed to go on a sightseeing tour of Dubai (we had an individual guide from the locals), we also went to Abu Dhabi with him, visited the stunning beauty and architecture of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, as well as an ethnic village and embankment. Also, our guide organized for us an evening walk along the Creek channel on a French boat Bateuax with dinner. While still at home, I myself reserved a table in the Arabic restaurant of the Burj Al Arab hotel and a table in the Lounge bar on the 122nd floor of the Burj Khalifa. The impressions from visiting these places are the most wonderful and enthusiastic) In terms of shopping, we visited the Dubai Mall, which cannot be bypassed even in 2 days)) Emirates Mall and Dubai Marina Mall. 3 times we watched musical fountains at the Dubai Mall, a spectacle, of course, bewitching, to goosebumps... We visited the Dubai Mall Aquarium and looked at the world of animals above it.
This is how 8, and full 7 days of vacation in Dubai passed. As they say, you either like Dubai or not, I know for sure that I will return there more than once, because it is absolutely my city in all respects)) I will definitely take my son there next time, there are a lot of joys for children, and the program , of course, there will be another)) In general, Dubai is my love forever. . . ))
We rested at the Amwaj Rotana - Jumeirah Beach Residence 5 *, just in the Dubai Marina area. We have been very lucky with ticket prices, at least 3 factors:
1. due to the heat, prices in the UAE are lower than in the season
2. in some hotels, including ours, there was a promotion, children are free, we paid only for the child's flight
3. we took breakfasts and dinners, but paid only for one breakfast.
That is, the price turned out to be more than good, especially considering the unearthly prices for Turkey and Europe.
Upon check-in, we made a deposit of 200 USD. e. , the manager asked for 300 c. u. e. , but I said that we are not going to use the minibar. By the way, it is very convenient when you leave a deposit at the hotel, then there is extra money for a dutik)))
We took breakfasts and dinners, dinners could be changed for lunches. We did just that, dined at the restaurant in the hotel, and dined in the city. It turned out to be very convenient, because we were in Ramadan, and all cafes and restaurants were closed until 7 pm, even in malls, that is, there was practically nothing to eat.
I chose the hotel for a long time, I read a bunch of different reviews. I wanted to live in Dubai, and not in other emirates, the Jumeirah area was also chosen on purpose, because I wanted to combine a beach holiday and shopping, in autumn I didn’t want the hotel to be far from the sea and be tied to transfers from the hotel to the beach. The advantage of this hotel is that it has access to a public beach (I want to say that few hotels in Dubai have their own beaches, I mean those beaches that are adjacent to the hotel building itself, mostly free transfers to the beach are carried out from the hotel and back).
The distance is minimal, from the pool to the beach go a maximum of 5 minutes, of which 2 floors are by elevator.
Due to the fact that the beach is not a hotel, it is not equipped, there are no sunbeds, umbrellas. We knew about this in advance, so it didn’t upset us at all, we were going to buy a beach umbrella and save ourselves from the sun with it, but we didn’t buy it. We were on the beach until 11 am, it was absolutely normal, I can’t say that it was very hot. You get used to the heat literally in 1-2 days. Humidity, of course, is very high, in Egypt, what kind of heat is perceived much easier, since the climate there is dry. But I repeat once again, the heat did not spoil our holiday. During our stay, the air temperature was mostly 44-46 degrees, in the sea 33 degrees, in the pool 28 degrees.
I want to note right away that construction is going on almost everywhere in Dubai, the Dubai Marina area is one of the relatively young ones, 2 new monorail branches are being built here, skyscrapers are being built, but everything is done almost silently.
View from the balcony from the pools: for children and adults and a pool bar. The children's pool is covered with a tent, which is very convenient in the heat, this was one of the key factors when I chose the hotel.
The adult pool always had free sunbeds, there was always enough space.
I really liked the fact that lifeguards were constantly on duty near the children's and adult pools, for them there were special high chairs under the canopies. Repeatedly observed Katrina, when the children stumbled from the children's pool, the lifeguard reacted faster than their mothers. In this sense, great respect for the organization of work in the hotel. Sometimes the rescuers could even play ball with the children a little, a trifle, but very nice.
By the way, all the hotel rooms have a view of the Persian Gulf and Palma. I can't remember this in any other hotel.
They checked us into the hotel literally in 5 minutes, we flew to Dubai around 19.40 local time, surprisingly quickly passed all the necessary procedures at the airport, even the retinal scan was without a queue, and we were taken to the hotels in a small minibus. From our plane we were the only ones going to our hotel, 2 more families were going to the hotel next to Parus. The sail at night didn’t impress us, it’s completely dark, it doesn’t glow at all, maybe it doesn’t work temporarily, of course, though this is hardly of course. So it turns out that our transfer was almost individual, we got to the hotel in about 40-50 minutes.
After we crossed the threshold of the hotel, our bags were taken away from us, they were delivered to the room without us, it was very nice, because usually, in addition to suitcases, there are also dutik bags, and it’s hard to drag everything.
Dinner at the hotel was until 10.
30 pm, so we went up to the room and went down to the restaurant. Unlike all the hotels where we used to rest, and we rested a lot, I can say that it was not a "Turkish" dining room with crowds of people who had 5 side dishes, 5 types of meat in their plates, mountains of salads and sweets, namely restaurant. At the entrance, one waiter greets us and escorts us to the table, the second waiter asks what drinks we are interested in, the third brings these drinks, the fourth cleans .....
The restaurant hall was at least 5 times smaller than the usual size, but we never saw crowds and crowds, everyone always had separate tables, sometimes even with sofas.
We were very pleased with the menu, there is no huge amount of unnecessary food, salads that no one ever eats. Just right and very tasty. I was amazed that everyone had oysters, king prawns, salted and baked red fish.
Very good juices, not fresh, but not diluted with water, they were printed from bottles in front of us. Much tastier than ours. For breakfast, free drinks included the following juices: orange, grapefruit, watermelon, tomato, apple, peach. For a fee, you could order fresh juices, they were made literally in 3-4 minutes. For breakfast, the chef from Uzbekistan, Nadezhda, made an amazing omelet. I was very pleased with the choice of cheese that was for breakfast and dinner: brie, ermental, cheddar, parmesan. Delicious cold cuts, can not be compared with those cheeses and colas that we tried in other countries. Lunch was delicious pasta and spaghetti with a variety of sauces. very tasty bread.
In general, you can’t list all the food and variety. So the hotel food is a solid 5.
Standard room very nice and spacious
They cleaned the room 2 times a day, for the first time in my life I saw that the room was prepared for bed! ! ! !
I just didn't have the strength.
