The breakfasts are good, we are satisfied, we liked the Thai soup with ginger very much, chicken, beef in different versions, sausages, ham, bacon, noodles, spaghetti, rice, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, peppers, scrambled eggs. The cheese was one kind. Very tasty yogurt. From fruits papaya, pineapple, watermelon. Everything filled up quickly. Installed 2 new coffee machines. The tables were cleared immediately. Very polite staff! On my birthday there was a small cake and fruit in the room. The restaurant did not congratulate, because. we left early. I lowered my rating for the fact that at the end of the rest the cockroaches were poisoned on the territory, and then they were lying around, they were not removed. Even ran into number one.
The sea is close, the sand is not cleaned along the way, there is a lot of plastic lying around, and the coastline is already cleaner. Sunbeds used for 100 baht one for the whole day, because. We didn't like lying on the sand. The bushes are dirty. The sea is amazing!!!! ! Fruits are very tasty! I liked the cafe, if you go out of the hotel and to the left, the first lane will be a street, turn and on the left side to the end of the cafe - there is a secret woman with red hair. And behind the cafe is a massage parlor and a dead end. Accidentally went opposite on the right side in a cafe, touted, calls himself Andrei, horror, deceit, it was inedible and very expensive, complete scam!!!!!
There is a good exchange office near the hotel. If we come to Thailand, then in this hotel for sure. It was percent. 40 Russians and other Europeans, there were no Chinese. Although the hotel was nearby were Chinese.
Advantages:
1. Location near the beach and numerous taverns, massage parlors, travel agencies, shops of Karon resort.
2. Spacious hotel rooms with everything you need.
3. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere in the hotel.
4. Quite beautiful, albeit compact area and pool at the hotel.
5. The ability to leave the air conditioner in the room on when you are not in the room.
Disadvantages:
1. A small area stretched across the sea inland and tightly squeezed on both sides by other hotels.
4. Only one umbrella is issued per room, which may not be enough, especially if the three of you are relaxing.
Baan Karon Buri Resort is a fairly comfortable hotel located almost by the sea across the river and the road, in the center of Karon Beach - one of the best beaches in Phuket.
The hotel has a fairly good location, close to the sea and the main tourist infrastructure of Karon Beach. The main drawback is the location on the beach opposite the place where the river just flows into the sea, which is irrelevant in the dry season, but during the rains the river spoils the rest for those who want to swim in the sea.
The rest at the hotel was spoiled by the weather, because in the second half of March 2011 there was a lot of rain, and, accordingly, little sun and frequent storms at sea.
But the weather could not spoil the overall impression of the rest, because no one canceled the delicious Thai cuisine and fruits, Thai massage and the general atmosphere, as well as the summer, although rainy, but very warm and not hot (for the first time in March it was not hot! ) , at a time when it is winter at home.
The Baan Karon Buri Resort is located at a distance of about 45 km from Phuket Airport in the western part of the island on Karon Beach - respectively, south of Patong Beach.
Travel time from the airport to the hotel is approximately 1 hour. Airplanes from the hotel are almost invisible here and there is no noise from them. During our vacation, I only a few times saw planes flying at a fairly high altitude.
The territory of the Baan Karon Buri Resort is located perpendicular to Karon Beach and stretched inland from the road. The territory is very small and it is only slightly wider than the hotel buildings. On both sides of the buildings there are paths and green spaces that add coziness to the territory. There are elevators in both buildings of the hotel.
Our room was spacious enough for three people with a living room measuring about 24m2. For me, this is the most important feature of the room. The bathroom is also spacious. The room has everything a tourist needs, including bathrobes and slippers. Also available are air conditioning, a safe, a wardrobe, a desk with a TV (Russian channel one), a mirror, a table and chairs, a refrigerator-mini-bar.
The clothes dryer is located on the balcony. Shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom are replenished every day as needed.
On the negative side, it is worth noting the very dim lighting in the room and the unsatisfactory water pressure in the sink.
The food at the Baan Karon Buri Resort is very good. The choice was vegetables and fruits (usually pineapples, papaya, watermelons and dragon fruit), two or three types of hot dishes and soups, some of which were Thai dishes, ham, sausages, bacon, muesli, milk, powdered juices, fried eggs and omelettes (sometimes pre-cooked, sometimes cooked on the spot), honey, butter, jams, white bread, croissants and donuts. As for drinks, tea and coffee were also offered, of quite good quality.
Excursions and entertainment programs are certainly local companies. Operators break prices and lately everyone has been complaining about quality.
We took sea trips and shows in Phuket, we were lucky with the company, thanks to the employees Anna and Alexander.
In general, I liked everything and the rest turned out as I wanted. I think we'll go here next time.
The hotel is small, two 4-storey buildings, I would say that it is very good for 3 *. One building next to the pool, located in the back of the territory, away from the reception. The buildings have an elevator. The staff is very pleasant and friendly. It is quite calm and quiet, despite the proximity of the road.
The rooms are spacious, nice and cozy with balconies with 2 sun loungers and a table. It was very pleasant to sit there in the evening, not so hot, you can hear the music from the nearest restaurants, everything is highlighted. The room has comfortable furniture, good quality bed linen, linen is changed daily. Towels are also changed every day. Water, shampoos replenish as needed.
There is a TV with one Russian channel, a small refrigerator, tea and coffee making facilities, and a safe. Plumbing serviceable, the bathroom is large, with a bathtub.
Breakfasts are served in the hotel restaurant a la buffet, the cuisine is quite varied, there are both Asian and European.
If you are interested in excursions and additional programs for your vacation, it is better to take it not from locals and not from operators, they have heard that it is more expensive and the organization often leaves much to be desired. There are good local companies experienced in this regard. There was a lot of interesting things in the national reserve and even went to the theater! : -), didn't even know it existed. Outside the hotel you can take an interesting walk, there are many shops, cafes, massage and spa salons nearby.
I liked everything very much, and I was lucky with the hotel and with the place, we recommend a vacation in Phuket!
The most profitable exchanger on Karon is located near the hotel, and if you go to the left of the hotel, and not towards the center to the right, there will be a small street with excellent cafes and massage parlors, the best of which I think is located at the very end of the street (at a dead end on the left). I especially liked the masseuse named Pi, although before that we had visited 5 different salons. I think that a trip to Phuket is a great choice in order to spend an unforgettable vacation.
There are a hundred meters to the sea, but the road you have to cross to get to the beach is quite busy. I was hit by a man with a moped. It looks like the man is still alive.
Wi-Fi is free, login and password are issued for the period of stay at the reception.
The room is clean, big TV (no time to watch, of course). There are a couple of chairs and a table on the balcony. Removed daily. Tipping left within 50 baht (1 baht = 1 ruble approximately).
The breakfast buffet is quite tasty, though not too varied.
The exchange office is to the left of the hotel, 3 meters away. In general, the exchange in bulk. You can also exchange rubles (100 rubles = 86 baht), dollars ($100 = 3220 baht approximately. The exchange rate is floating).
There are a lot of cafes around, 30 meters on the right is a market with local rags and souvenirs.
Cellular communication is cheap if you call local numbers (0.7 baht / min), landline (city) phones (Moscow, Moscow region 3-4 baht / min. ). Calling cell phones to Russia is expensive! About 20 baht/min.
In general, I can recommend for a beach holiday.
