But the unprofessionalism didn’t end there, they came to the children’s club for a paid master class on drawing on T-shirts, for which (for a moment! ) they paid 85 dirhams. According to the schedule, the program was supposed to start at 15:00, now it’s already 15:55 - it hasn’t started yet! They make the children wait! And the questions from adults and children: “When will you start? " - they don’t give an answer! No time management! No respect for guests' time, which is scheduled.
We still have to be here for a whole week, we need to be patient...because our nerves can no longer stand it!
1) The all inclusive bracelet is put on at 13:00, and check-in to the room takes place no earlier than the stated time (about 14:00), just like with check-out, the bracelets are removed exactly at 12:00, that is, there is no opportunity to dine on the day of departure. Here the rules of the hotel operate clearly, without concessions.
2) Food in the hotel is very poor. The restaurant has only one type of fish, chicken and beef. In fruit season, only watermelon, melon, and fruit salad were served. The food is monotonous, corresponds to the level of 3 stars. Perhaps the savings on food are related to quarantine, but this is very upsetting. You won't see any variety. On the first day of rest, the restaurant served ordinary water with cereal, which made us very angry.
3) The "all inclusive" system starts from 10:30 and closes at 17:30. In a country where the temperature does not fall below 30 degrees all year round, this is very annoying. That is, you can drink only the water that is put in the room. There is no other option to quench your thirst (except for a fee). There are three bars on the beach and by the pool, one of which was closed for renovation... bartenders give no more than two cans of water to their hands, one of which must be opened, such are the rules of the hotel. We have never seen such savings! Moreover, all cocktails on the menu are only for a fee, and ice cream is only given to children under 12 years old - 2 scoops a day! This is strictly monitored.
4) After a few days of rest, the guard on the beach did not let you swim in the sea before 7:00 in the morning, because there were no beach workers and a lifeguard. At the same time, he allowed swimming behind the buoys, on the territory where there are boats for water entertainment, but not on the territory fenced for the hotel... there was no such nonsense in any country! How can you stop swimming in the sea? Only after two days of proceedings with the main manager of the hotel we were allowed to swim from 6:00!
5) Wild cats roam the beach, recovering right on the beach, and then jumping on the sunbeds and relaxing on our towels. There is no disinfection of sun loungers during the coronavirus period!
Good impression left rooms and cleaning. Every day change of bed, towels and detergents. The staff here is working hard.
Thanks to the restaurant staff, very friendly and helpful.
Our travel agent highly recommended this hotel as it was one of the best in Fujairah. But unfortunately the policy of the hotel has changed a lot and there is no desire to return to this hotel. Will not recommend to friends.
The trip was planned for Maisky, a family of three. We were in Turkey, Egypt, too, and more than once, it's time to change direction. My wife and I wanted to go to the sea, everything with quarantine measures was too long, my son is fifteen, emotions and new impressions are important, so we mutually decided to go to the UAE. Of the seven emirates, Fujairah was chosen. Comfortable climate, the Indian Ocean (all other Emirates face the Persian Gulf) and close to Dubai, these are the main reasons why it is here.
Reviewed many hotels. In fact, doubt often arises, as in the saying - everywhere is good where we are not and the nearby hotel seems to be something better.
In fact, all the hotels are located along the same coastline, in about twenty minutes it is possible to walk along the ocean and see each one, so whichever one you choose, you are unlikely to be disappointed, in this case it is a matter of taste and wallet, and of what you need specifically , see booking, read reviews. We went to Miramar because it was recommended to us. We took breakfast and dinner, there is All inclusive, but we don’t sit on the spot, so that’s why. But ...here is an important point, if you don’t take excursions and prefer a beach holiday, it makes sense to take a full package - the price is high for literally everything, for understanding coffee 5 USD, a glass of wine, juice, ice cream 10 USD. Also now I would definitely recommend spending 2-3 days in Dubai and only then on to Fujairah, the road takes about 1.
5 hours there and back, well, the cost of excursions is correspondingly lower - the only flaw in planning, despite this, did not affect the overall impression in any way, I liked everything very much, I did not want to return.
The staff is attentive and helpful and most importantly not intrusive. From excursions I recommend desert safaris by jeeps. Previously, I took it in Egypt - friends ...there is not even a comparison, such an extreme, the Arabs undergo special training and receive special. license, when the car climbs a dune at speed, and then literally breaks into a tailspin, in general, emotions cannot be expressed in words, and the photos are amazing. Be sure to go to the water park, this is the Atlantis hotel, for the whole day. Please note that it is on.
in the price of visiting the aquarium on the ground floor, first there then everything else - you won’t regret it, the question is absolutely not about the fish, I have seen a lot of things like this, it is implemented in such a way that the hotel stands on the foundation of the sunken Atlantis. Well, of course, a sightseeing tour to Dubai, of course, also for the whole day, it includes a boat trip with lunch, climbing the world's highest tower - the Burj Khalifa, and you will also see evening fountains with illumination.
A few words about the Dubai Mall, well, again, what anyone needs and if you have extra time and money, you can spend the whole day there. For me personally, it's wasting precious time on material things. Also consider what the UAE is famous for, there is a lot of money in the state, therefore prices are oriented towards rich people, not in our understanding and representation.
I would like to finish this, but I’ll draw the attention of tourists, in the country there is “dry law”, in some emirates it is allowed to use it on the territory of the hotel, and even then not everywhere, if you are complained to the police or noticed in an unsightly way in a public place, you will at least earn a punishment with whips they can go to jail.
Well, and most importantly, it’s hard to resist not to use a swear word, well, don’t be wise ...kami, respect someone else’s culture, because you are poisoned on a visit, and not to your home. Really ashamed happens for ours. When you see a woman in a hijab, and towards you she shoves her body in a T-shirt, shorts and slates, because in such a dress she will come to dinner at the hotel, our beautiful girls will throw a tunic over their swimsuit and there too. And ignorance of English is compensated by rudeness and loud reading in syllables, but in Russian, this is generally a circus .. .
- delicious cuisine;
- extremely clean water by the sea;
- very clean and tidy in the room, cleaning at the highest level;
- constant renewal of tea, coffee, etc .;
- daily change of bed linen;
- water is given free of charge not 2 bottles of 0.5 liters, but 4-6 (as when), ie there is enough water, you do not need to buy;
- Quiet atmosphere on the hotel premises;
- beautiful landscapes;
- The room has everything you need: electric kettle, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, slippers and bathrobe, etc.
Our plane landed early, at 6:00 am. By the time we got our luggage, by the time we arrived it was 10:00. It was very cold, it was raining. The hotel in the central building dripped from the ceiling in several places, including on sofas with waiting tourists. The toilet of the central building is dirty, not cleaned, there are long-faded flowers.
When we, frozen, were brought something red in cups, I was delighted, I thought it was hot tea, which would be logical. But it turned out to be an icy drink, which exacerbated the negative perception. This hotel is not used to be flexible and attentive to the guests.
We asked if we could go for breakfast (breakfast ends at 10:30) or maybe they left us a brunch, as is practiced in many hotels, but this is not accepted here - you were not expected, you are hungry, you have to wait cold 14 : 00 until you are settled, and only then will you be allowed to use the dining room. I think that this is disrespectful to tourists, and one could take care of people who flew to you for at least 6 hours.
Regarding the leaking ceilings - the hotel was built not so long ago - couldn't it have been built right away so that nothing dripped on your head ?!
The walls in the buildings are all smudges, peeled plaster. On paved paths (sidewalks), dirt is not removed after rain for several days.
In general, the greed of either the staff or the owner of the hotel was felt everywhere:
- In the room you are left with one 0.5 l of water per person, there is another 1.5 l of Evian water, but it is paid.
If you need more water, you need to call the reception and they will bring you more water. Why do we have to ask for water in the room all the time? Why force the guest to make unnecessary movements?
- For those who do not have all inclusive, but have breakfast and dinner - tea at dinner is only for money! Free only cold water, which must be asked to bring (poured into a glass). Tea, of course, is cheap in bags. During breakfast, tea looked like this: 2 bags filled with boiling water floated in the kettle, from where you can pour yourself into a cup.
- There are no paper napkins in the dining room! If this is related to some kind of environmental program, then why were there tissues and toilet paper in the rooms?
- Ice cream is free of charge only for children under 12 years old for those who have ultra all inclusive. That is, adults who have paid the maximum price should buy ice cream for themselves! - Check-out is at 12:00 and transfer is at 13:30. And lunch at 13:00 is no longer allowed! Only for money!
Even if you have a transfer in the evening, you will not be allowed into the dining room, because it is considered that you have already "left" at 12:00.
- There is no evening program! Sometimes there is live music outside, but it's cold outside in January in the evening!
- On the beach, the sand is not straightened, if the garbage is collected, and thanks for that!
Cats live on the territory, which are fed by tourists. The cats go to the toilet right on the beach.
There are rats in the hotel, we took a picture of a cat carrying a rat in its teeth.
Every time you enter a restaurant (canteen), at the entrance you will be asked for a room number, often without a smile, harshly: "room number"! , and mark those who enter. My question is, is the hotel so unsafe that they count tourists every time? Are there strangers here? Has anyone gone missing?
At dinner, if you asked the waiter to bring water, tea, wine, and it doesn’t matter what, they will definitely bring you a check (blank or not) to sign, where you must indicate the room number and sign.
What is this nonsense? Such a greedy hotel that water and tea bags are served against a signature and a room number!?
On the territory of the hotel there is a SPA complex, it’s not bad there, there is a swimming pool, sauna, hammam, jacuzzi. But after visiting him, the smell of mold does not leave you (apparently, they do not clean / process either the jacuzzi or the hamam).
In general, my husband and I will never come to this hotel again! We have heard a lot about super service in the Emirates - there is no super service here!
We knew almost nothing about the events held at the hotel - maybe they just don't exist? There is some kind of "club" and "house of culture" on the territory, which are not known whether they work or not.
The animation is very weak, once we only saw yoga near the beach on the lawn (3 people did it, including animation). Once a girl walking along the beach said "darts" - apparently, this was an invitation for vacationers to play.
Even at night, you can wake up from the rumble of carts, which are rolled by workers around the territory, from the shuffling of feet, and from some strange sounds. I woke up from the noise at 2 am and at 4 am for several nights. And once, from 6 in the morning, something was hammered somewhere in the hotel, and it was already impossible to sleep.
In general, if the staff and management of the hotel are not in the know - guests come to you to relax! A full restful sleep is also a component of rest!
The beauty of this hotel is the beach, in the sense of the sea and the coastline!
The room was large and spacious, visually clean. If you look closely, of course there were shortcomings, the cleaning was carried out superficially, but this is not critical. Once they only left gratitude and that's it, but it didn't affect anything.
The food is simply impeccable, in comparison with Egypt and Turkey. On Thu and Fri there were seafood dishes all day, I do not take into account the fish, it was always there. For drinks in the restaurant, waiters serve and also accompany you to your place. Tables were always clean and set. In the evening there was always live music on the street and a belly dance every other day.
We never went to the amphitheater, but there was always some kind of show. The animators worked with children almost all day and in the evening. The children were happy.
Weather. We were very lucky with the weather. Upon arrival, it was only a little fresh for two days, and then everything got better and we enjoyed the perfect temperature for relaxing! In the evenings it was really cool, without pants and jackets you will shiver, but in the cafe they gave blankets.
Sea! It won me over! Clean, iridescent, sparkling, as if small diamonds are floating on it and alluring))) and no oil floats, and there are no fish scales either !! ! Yes, fishermen catch fish with nets, the spectacle is not for the compassionate, I went to see it once, I thought I would become a vegetarian for life))) but this did not affect the sea and the beach where tourists rest. And what a sand there! Soft, caressing your tender legs, pouring between your tiny fingers....I am writing this comment and hochchuuuuu now back. In fact, I really didn't want to leave! Seven days flew by without a hitch.
Are there any cons for this hotel? There is. But they are so tiny. . .
So the cons:
1. The Internet catches rather weakly, in some places, or the network may completely disappear.
2. For me, this turned out to be a huge minus one day, when after arrival we were late for breakfast the next day. There is nowhere to eat during the day, only for money, even on the ultra all inclusive system. This not only upset me, but also upset me!
3. Also an important minus. After 12 on the day of check-out you eat for a fee. $40/person Buffet.
4. There is nothing in the vicinity of the hotel. The desert and the road and the mosque. We found a small shop where everything is stuck. And chemistry, and some products, and things, and magnets. We did not like it, and the prices are not the cheapest. If you take a taxi, then there is a market, about 5 km, or maybe more, and there is a supermarket there.
Pluses for the UAL system (I specify, because I don’t know if this works for AL):
1. The bar is replenished daily and is included in the payment for accommodation (beer, juices, mirinda).
2. From drinks, you can order not only pure drinks, but also cocktails, including children's (not everyone knows this).
3. Alcohol is also included in the disco!
The only thing is that the hookah is paid for 60 dirhams (20 dollars), but for me one time was enough.
You can pay at the hotel in any currency (dollars, euros, cards), but change is given by local incomprehensible pennies)))) And yet, the hotel rented a car with a driver for 10 hours - $ 200 (we went to Dubai), we are very satisfied, car comfortable, clean and silent driver)))
This is the first trip to the UAE and the hotel left only positive emotions. I'm already looking at this hotel again for the end of the year!
And so about our vacation. Departure at 21:00 from UIA Boryspil with a delay of 15 minutes. We went through passport control quickly, bought in duty free before departure, took alcohol and water (you can safely take any amount). Upon arrival, we went through passport control very quickly, and waited longer for our luggage. Bought in Dutik and out. I met the Travel Agent, handed over the envelope and handed us over to the Egyptian driver who did not speak either Russian or English. There were six of us in the car, we arrived in two hours. At 5 in the morning we were already at the hotel. The reception impressed with its beauty. Another couple came with us. At the reception I met a very very friendly person of Asian appearance who does not know Russian (the most friendly of all the workers at the reception) Welcome pomegranate juice from the concierge. On the third attempt, we managed to give a letter of recommendation from Tophotels, which was immediately xeroxed and returned to us. They didn’t wear bracelets for us because we only had breakfast. The check-in took about 5 minutes and we were taken immediately with our things to room 2308 on the 3rd floor. The room is clean, large with a very high ceiling of 4 meters, with a large bed, a balcony.
In the bathroom: a large dzerealo, 2 glasses, 2 snow-white large towels, 2 small towels, 2 tiny towels, 1 foot towel under the bath and one rug in front of the mirror, hair dryer, one bar of soap for two for all 14 days, one hair cap , ear sticks. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body cream are replenished every day. Towels and sheets are changed every day. No washcloth, toothbrush or toothpaste.
In the hallway there are 2 large mirrors, in the closet there is a free safe, an ironing board and an iron, 2 waffle bathrobes and slippers (they do not change).
The room has a large bed with a blanket and four pillows + four pillows in two bedside tables, a table and two chairs, 2 lamps on the bedside tables (one of them can turn off all the light in the room, very convenient) another large mirror and a floor lamp, a large table cabinet with a refrigerator and two compartments for your belongings, an electric kettle, 2 cups, sugar packaging, Nescafe coffee, black and green alazai tea (replenished every day), 2 wine glasses, 2 glasses, two bottles of water of 0.5 l (water is put each day when cleaning the room), 2 small chocolates (a week later there were two more), the rest of the drinks for money (the price plate is on the table! We advise you to read it). Large plasma TV with seven Russian channels. There are two sockets that fit our plugs (one in the bathroom, the other in the room under the mirror with a floor lamp).
The air conditioning works perfectly, it is adjustable to any temperature, up to 16 degrees exactly. When leaving the room, you can leave one key card in the lock and the air conditioner will work all the time. there is a table and two chairs on the balcony. A view of the pool and a moderately beautiful green area. (air humidity is high, so if you get a room by the sea, things will not dry out! We advise you to take turntable hangers with you and then dry your swimwear either on the beach during the day or near the pool under umbrellas, this is what tourists with experience do)
There is no noise from the pool - this is not Turkey for you! I liked the soundproofing of the walls, we didn’t hear any noise from the neighbors or they simply didn’t exist! The hotel was occupied by 10 percent. Until the end of our stay, the hotel was occupied by about 30%.
We unpacked our things, changed clothes and went to get acquainted with the territory. Everything is very clean, tidy, well-groomed and green. Pool with cool water, clean sandy beach, with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. The ocean was calm for the first two days without waves, then there were almost always waves. When meeting with the ocean, we immediately noticed that there was a smell of diesel fuel and sand floated on the water that did not sink because it was oily from oil. The sunbeds were all free, no one occupied them in the morning either on the beach or by the pool.
Beach towels are issued on cards, after getting them they were bought up all the same in the ocean. After bathing, oil remained on the palms of the hands and sand stuck to the feet, which did not crumble for a long time. There were no napkins and rags soaked in the washing liquid. . Although in the neighboring hotel Miranda all this is constantly, regardless of whether the water is clean or not.
For all 13 days of our stay, oil emissions were 6 times. The last two very strong ones - the oil simply covered the entire surface of the water, and when walking on the sand, the legs were also heavily smeared. Only then put in one place rags soaked in oil to wash off fuel oil.
There is no map of the hotel on the territory, but there are signs. There is no thermometer to check the temperature. The clock is only at the Reception.
Then we went in search of the main restaurant, followed the signs, but somehow we didn’t find it right away. We approached the reception desk, there was already another Russian-speaking Filipino, who showed us the way in broken language. To the far corner. Somehow we didn’t understand right away and again we didn’t find a canteen. Come back to the counter there was already a Russian girl. When we asked where the restaurant was, she answered very rudely: "You just showed it! " And she showed me where the entrance was. If there was a sign and a pointer and a map of the hotel, then everything would be clear. In the following days, they turned to this girl several times and she was always not at all friendly and attentive and not smiling, she did not always even give an answer to questions, she just froze! She is not very pleasant and not friendly, she is the only one in the whole hotel !!!!
At the entrance to the restaurant we were asked for a room number, then we were met by friendly senior waiters (there is a girl who knows Ukrainian and Russian, very friendly! ). They show guests to the table and offer coffee. There is a catch here! Especially if you first went to a restaurant, and this is immediately visible. If you say that you want coffee, they will bring it to you in a coffee pot. It's not tasty at all. But if you ask for espresso, amercanno, cappuccino or latte, it will be what you need !! ! Very tasty and strong! ! The tables are already served. There is a big minus - there are no paper napkins. If you smear your hands, then wiping them with a starched cloth is simply not realistic !!! ! There is a jug of real milk on the table, it is the most delicious and real here. The one on the buffet is soy and 0% fat, even the one on the children's menu is not tasty !!! ! And not even the color! This is a note to everyone. Nutela (standing near the croissants) happens only on Fridays when the local Arabs come. The rest of the menu every morning is always the same:
Two types of hard cheese, three types of soft cheese, olives, (some other cuts of pickled vegetables are not tasty), two types of chopped lettuce leaves, an unripe brown tomato, a good cucumber, grapefruit, delicious croissants, dry muffins, two types of boiled sausage the cheapest (we saw its price in the supermarket), sausages are the same, small cutlets are not tasty, omelet and fried eggs, boiled eggs, potato slices, mushrooms, beans, waffles and pancakes and from the same dough, Turkish bacon, yoghurts, sliced watermelon is not always ripe, sliced banana, apple, and fruit salad with apple, melon, pineapple is not always papaya. soy milk. From drinks once a week, sweet fermented baked milk, always orange fresh, once a mango drink. Further with drinks are not tasty tinctures with water and fruits and herbs.
And it's all!! ! The choice is not great!
For lunch and dinner, I won’t say anything, since we only had breakfast.
There is nothing to see outside the hotel. There is a mosque almost opposite the hotel, from which prayers are heard several times a day. A little to the left of the mosque, about 5 minutes on foot from the hotel, there is a dry cleaner, a fresh shop and a small Market where you can buy the little things and products familiar to us: chocolates, nuts, ice cream, water, drinks and juices. There is nothing further along the road. If you go to the right of the hotel, there will be 3 more 5 * hotels on the right, and after 20 minutes walk along a clean pavement there is an intersection where there is a gas station with a standard set of products. You can walk another 20 minutes ahead and on the left there will be the first cafe eatery and on the right small shops will begin. And there is already a bigger good supermarket where you can buy juices, drinks, dairy products, water, oriental sweets-halva and figs, there are also poor quality fruits and vegetables , meat. Then only by car, you won’t find anything else on foot. There is a fruit market 11 km from the hotel in the same direction, it works around the clock, there you will find all the sweets for the house, including. delicious mango. They give it a try. The Egyptian sellers do not know the languages. Be sure to bargain!
Further behind the market is the Royal Hotel. There is a liquor store on its territory, prices are like a dutique and the choice is chic. We personally bought here and at the fruit market at 2 am, returning from Dubai from an excursion with a private guide Ramin.
The hotel has a free shuttle to Dubai 2 times a week. You will just be driven there and picked up in the evening. Every day, twice a day, there is a free transfer to the supermarket in Fujairah (recording is strictly 1 hour before departure). Somehow it is not thought out and you give a circle in the opposite direction 30 km and lose 45 minutes of your time. You could at least make a stop (as compensation) or just to the fruit market flight. And drop people near Miramar who only want fruit and take others to Fujairah who want shopping.
The whole trip with a stay in Fujairah takes 6 hours. This is a lot, 45 minutes you only lose on a circle around your hotel.
The store has a good selection of chocolate, oriental sweets, food, a lot of fruits, several types of mango (the cheapest from 7 to 9 dirhams is the most delicious). fish. There are cafes, pizza and McDonald's. Of the things there is nothing interesting, only Chinese consumer goods.
The hotel itself is not big at all, you can get around in 5 minutes. This is one sidewalk between the pool and the residential building. You can go to the beach both along the sidewalk in the shade of palm trees and the cool corridor of the residential building. The beach is wide and the path somehow ends early and then you have to walk along the sand between the sunbeds if you want to go to the first row of sunbeds or just look at the ocean up close. The waves are quite strong, knocking down even adults. It is dangerous to let children go into the water alone. There were cases when we lost hats, glasses, a golden Sergi and a ring, an underwater camera, which the owner was lucky to find. The beach volleyball court is hidden from the guests in a remote corner of the beach (why can’t it be done in front of everyone, look and there will be more people who want to play and there will be someone to cheer for)
For children, near the kids club there is a tiny slide on which there is never anyone. In the neighboring hotel Miranda for children will be a paradise. There is a very large territory and a lot of all sorts of slides, swings, waterfalls, a football field, etc.
Animators are not intrusive at all, you don’t want to participate and no one will beg you. Music near the pool plays loudly only during games with animation, this is about a maximum of 30 minutes in the morning and also in the evening. The rest of the time there is deathly silence. The waiters, both on the beach and near the pool, will never offer you anything themselves, only if you call them yourself and order.
What is very pleasant and immediately it is very noticeable is that all the staff from gardeners, cleaners, to seniors - the guest is always right! Always smile, say hello, they will definitely give way. Just great! In other hotels that are nearby, there is no such attention from the staff! Special Thanks to the youngest and smallest, most friendly girl, the waitress from the main restaurant from Indonesia, Fedra. She remembers your names and where you are from and what kind of coffee you like and always brings it with a smiley face. Just well done!
Access to neighboring hotels is free. You can walk along the beach in any of them. What we did and in each held a photo session. The Greenest of them is the most recent Radison. Very green area where you can take a lot of beautiful pictures.
Drinking water can be obtained from the corridor cleaners on any floor, not obligatory from their own. At the Lobby Bar, from a cooler to your bottles, or also from a cooler in the Spa, there is a bath, sauna for free and the water is cold in any quantity for your pleasure.
From the entertainment in the hotel there is nothing special here, silence and tranquility reign. Therefore, everything is in your hands. Walking around the hotel in the evening is hot and stuffy - and the coolest place is the lobby. Every evening in the lobby bar a Russian girl sings boring slow songs in English to the saxophone and synthesizer. Twice a week, a belly dance for 30 minutes is also from a Russian girl (and where are the oriental beauties? ) At least people gather here, at least somehow, but more fun already. There is also karaoke in a disco club and then a disco. Acoustics and music are good.
