2 minutes walk to the beach. There are 2 of them in Sozopol. In the New and Old Town. We swam in the Old Town, there are more places on the sand. We did not take sunbeds, it makes no sense, we bought an umbrella, bedding, all our own. It is better to change money in the Old Town, where buses stop at Raiffeisen Bank. There is the best course, do not cheat, everything is fine. (1 euro - 1.94 leva, 1 $ - 1.36 leva). In the same place, there is a wholesale market, you can buy vegetables, fruits, there is a store with alcohol and cigarettes, the prices are much lower than in stores.
We dined every other day, ate pancakes that are on every corner, dairy products, fruits, what else is needed in the summer. Lunch in a cafe cost us about 20-25 lev. This is a very heavy lunch. Good food, everything is very tasty and large portions in a cafe, right above the beach of the old town. Sea view tables. I advise everyone. also a good Chinese-Bulgarian restaurant Melnitsa, also overlooking the beach of the old town. You see where the Mill is. The rest of the cafes in the Old Town, along the sea are all very expensive, it makes no sense to go there, it's already if you go along the beach.
Cafes in the New Town near the beach are also good, but the flies are frightening.
We went on excursions ourselves, by bus to Burgas, they go every half hour, go min. 40 price, 4 leva per person, then we took a bus to Sunny Beach and there to the Aquapark. Prices in the Aquapark 30 lev, all day. Slides are good, I liked everything very much. There is an Aquapark in Nessebar, but it is small and the slides there are boring.
We went to Burgas ourselves, looked at the city. In Sozopol we rode on a boat. We bought various souvenirs, honey, their Sweets, Cosmetics, things. . .
I advise everyone to go without food, breakfasts are very bad in hotels, we heard this from many people. Here are the best dinners. If without children, then you can eat like that. There would be money.
By the way, those who love mosquitoes like me, good news. There are none in Sozopol, in the Crimea in the evening you won’t go out without Creams and protection, but here you walk all night, not a single mosquito.
We spent $ 550, and 200 euros is taking into account food, shopping, fruits every day, beer for my husband, sweets for me, excursions, gifts, things....So I think this is quite normal, why pay for food, if you can eat well without overpaying!
