We went to the reception at 5:30 in the morning. The night manager immediately started bidding for the room, they started with $40, then $30, but I set a condition - I want a clean room AND to see it in advance before paying. Immediately the negotiations came to naught, and we ceased to be interesting to him.
We had food with us, we had a small picnic and had breakfast. After that, we went to see the hotel and the beach.
The hotel is very compact, like many city hotels in Hurghada, buildings 1.2, 3 floors are located in the letter "P", in the center there is a dining room and swimming pools, a small water park.
The first impression of the hotel, as well as the last, turned out to be very negative. So much so that I wanted to immediately change this hotel to another.
But then, a day later, everything got better, the first impression changed for the better.
Multinational hotel. Germans, English, Poles, Russians, Moldovans and Arabs rested in the hotel, Ukrainians were very few.
The hotel is old, opened as one of the first in Hurghada.
Our room was very small, I have never seen such before. Maybe the rooms of another category are better, but we had a standard one. Maybe it's a large number divided by 2. But!!! ! Everything works. For this hotel it is +.
The room had 2 beds, a passage of 50 cm, a table, and a refrigerator next to it. And that's it, the number is over. The refrigerator worked well, but leaked, the door does not close very tightly. The TV works, there is a problem with connecting the antenna, but there is nothing to watch - there are Russian, Polish, Arabic channels. The air conditioner is new!! ! The safe in the room was in the closet and was not fastened. There is no hairdryer in the room. There are not enough sockets. But we had enough.
Bathroom 1 m.
Shower tray with curtain, wash basin and toilet. Bars of soap and toilet paper, that's all that comes out. Cheharda with towels, then 2, then 3, then 1. And once they even brought one for the feet, on the floor. I took my towels after reading the reviews.
During the cleaning, 2 bottles of water of 600 ml were brought every day. The bed is only made, the linen has not been changed.
Wi-Fi, at the reception, free of charge. My husband was going to watch football matches, so we bought a Vodafone SIM card in the city.
There are 3 swimming pools on the territory of the hotel, there is a separate one for children, it is small, but the parents of these children were always there.
The second with slides. We didn't ride. But they are really a plus of the hotel.
The third pool had completely opaque water. And it stank of chlorine. We made a note to the reception about this, a day later the water was replaced. Chlorine is thrown from a bucket as much as needed.
By the pool, normal light sunbeds, with wheels on one side.
And on the beach there are old wooden deckchairs that cannot be lifted. To drag this sun lounger into the shade, you have to use a lot of force. This is a big minus. But almost everyone was sunbathing here.
There is a changing room and a shower near the pool, when the slides are working, all the water goes there, the pressure in the shower almost disappears.
From the negative, probably, the fact that they come to the beach from 2 more hotels that belong to the same owner. It is not very convenient, a passing yard. Sunbeds are occupied in the morning or at night. Sometimes they are resting, and sometimes they are fighting. We still had to find a free deck chair. We adapted, lay by the pool, went to the beach only to go into the water. But as the hotel is small, it is 1-2 minutes to the water.
Beach towels are 50-50, there are almost new ones, they were usually given to Arabs and Germans, and there are old, muddy ones. The disadvantage of a 3* hotel is that there is some instability in everything, every time, like roulette.
There are fish for those who swim. But almost all vacationers float like floats. You can take shoes, you can without them.
Where the pier ends, there are corals, fish and a whole kindergarten. Of course, I knew that there were small baby fish, but I had never seen such a large number of fry.
There are 3 boats near the pier, they go on an excursion in the afternoon.
Dining room. Almost all the food was normal, no salt, but tasty. Well-cooked beef, 1 type of fish and chicken. Vegetable salads, several side dishes. There are not enough fruits. Drinks are poured into glasses in the dining room; on the beach in a bar, in terrible plastic glasses.
We had our own glasses, by the way, plastic glasses were also sold in a small shop located next door to the dining room.
Coffee is only soluble. We took ours.
Breakfast starts at 7, at 7? ? no pancakes yet. We also ask for oil. There is yogurt, cheese, cottage cheese, scrambled eggs, potatoes, etc. But there is no stability, sometimes there is something, sometimes there is not.
We still liked the food, we talked to each other about the fact that everything is fine, that maybe we will come back here again.
And then we had trouble. On the 12th day of our vacation, my swimsuit was stolen, which was drying near the room. Half of the people had things drying on tables, chairs, ropes near their rooms, but I was not so lucky. A search, an appeal to the staff did not yield any result. Someone is enjoying my thing.
In short, can I recommend this hotel. I don't even know what to say. If it weren't for the unpleasantness or, perhaps, the pattern of theft, I would say that this is a budget 3*, but the rest was fine.
The hotel has recently been renamed, so be careful when booking, because they did not immediately deliver to the address (this is a chain and the same owner has 3 hotels nearby, but of different categories).
Reception wants to be better. Because from the street he looks absolutely miserable. However, literally at its doorstep, when you enter the territory - a truly bright summer opens! It was because of this garden, colorful tables and chairs, palm trees and flowers on the background of the sea that I chose this hotel! Actually, very simple and very cute)
Check-in is worth mentioning separately, because at first, with a very sweet smile, we were told that check-in is from 12, but we will be checked in an hour earlier. Also that we have a standard room and if we want to change it, it is for $20. They led to the right wing opposite the kitchen.
Another hotel is behind, from the window there is a courtyard and a bit of the sea, but the room...Just a shed. Shabby, small, with low ceilings, with a tiny window, old furniture falling apart, a steep bathroom with only soap, a narrow closet without a safe. In a word, she was scared, nostalgic for the poor areas of Sri Lanka and ran to the reception to change this misunderstanding. But for money. And that was a mistake. Because the shrewd manager slipped a piece of paper requesting a supposedly free room change due to the lack of a safe or hot water. They took me to the left building, close to the sea, the second floor, the room is a little better, there is a safe, but it is not fastened. I had to ask him to fasten it, as well as add hangers to the cabinet and batteries to the TV remote control. However, we soon realized that this is not the biggest problem. There is no hot water. After a day and a half on the road and with the cold wind of Hurghada, we got sick and a cold shower was not an option.
I had to wait for a long time for the master, who twice tried to do something there, but it is not in his power - the water circulates first on the upper floors, then on the lower ones, and either it freezes or it does not heat up. I had to change the number again (you remember, the manager slyly prints a piece of paper again that I refused and everything seems to be fair, but I already paid the money). This time it's the third floor, a room with normal curtains, a little better renovation and a high ceiling. However...no safe. I stopped moving, because it was already 11 at night, that is, 12 hours of changing and fixing numbers! ! This is too much. There was hot water when we checked in, but it was gone by the time we moved our things...
The following will be shorter and more positive, because we settled down and settled in) hot water was caught during the day and during dinner.
And although the kitchen was modest by the standards of Egyptian hotels, very conscientious, resourceful and friendly people brightened everything up here.
The food was really tasty: vegetables, rice, pasta, grill, meat, fish, falafel, soups and always fresh pastries. We went to meet them when they asked to feed us lunch earlier so that we would have time for the excursion. And after ordering a dry ration, only these should be done! Because it's just no good - two pieces of inedible sausage and cheese, a bun, olives, cucumber, tangerine and juice. And a bunch of plastic around it.
A la carte fish restaurant is paid.
Territory. It is beautiful, green, several pools, small water slides, but the water is cold, so we did not risk going in.
The sea is right there, the sunset is good, there is a descent from the pier and there you can see coral and fish! ) The sea is clean, even relatively warm, but the famous wind of Hurghada...now I know what it is. It burns and blows with frost, when you come out wet, it is January, let me remind you.
However, the nearby hotel from this chain has a really hot pool with a great view of the sea, we went there, and their guests came to our beach to sunbathe, because we have longer sun.
The animation is cool, a great team, everyone is energetic, passionate, daily games, dances, entertainment during the day, and a show with dances in the evening.
Relatively nearby there is a local bazaar, a good currency exchange at Alexa in the "4 Seasons" hotel, cafes and Hurghada city center with a large and profitable Carrefour. Central market street Sheraton - some trash, as far as I'm concerned. Tired, didn't like it at all. Uber is the best for getting around. Funny prices and good service.
As for the hotel, in general, there are more advantages than disadvantages and a strong desire to switch - this created a good impression)
The territory is small, green, there is nowhere to walk. The food is ok but the same. Standard, lunch: fish and meat (poultry), dinner is the same, only maybe something on the grill. You will not be hungry, but a week later I went to the fish market for shrimp).
Rooms, changed three. Old, noisy.
The beach is a good entry, you can see: moray eels, lionfish, triggerfish, plantation of hedgehogs). Low sun loungers, a beach for two hotels, a lot of escaped) Russians.
The beach is clean and cleaned regularly. The sun loungers have fences from the wind (although there was no strong wind) and from prying eyes. The only sunbeds... mostly very low. We picked up a couple on legs and in the morning the Bengals "occupied" them with their towel. Towels, of course, are also given out on the beach, but after 9:00. The towels are not new, the fences are dilapidated in places and supplemented with canvas, but this is 3 stars.
Hotel near the center. Any minibus can be reached for 2LE=$0.1, or walk for 20 minutes. If on foot - beware of Seryozha, who is on duty in the middle of the path at one of the excursion shops; )
When choosing a hotel on Booking, I was looking for an inexpensive but good hotel. I think this one is the best.
