Pros: Free WI-FI throughout the hotel, the territory itself is large and green, people do not bump into each other. There is a SPA, which is included in ALL Inclusive, with a sauna, hammam, jacuzzi and a 30-minute massage. Friendly waiters, after a tip, reveal a good memory and promptness in the delivery of drinks. All kinds of food, pancakes are baked, fish is fried, meat on the grill is in addition to the main food tanks. Spacious beach, lots of umbrellas and sun loungers, but the places near the pools disappear very quickly. In general, the staff is helpful and slightly well-trained, although tips are constantly asked for. There is no Tagil, at 22-00 the whole hotel is already asleep.
The plane turned out to be Orenburg Airlines. Its novelty and comfort left much to be desired…
At the airport, we were met by a minibus in which we were traveling together. As the guide promised, the journey to the hotel took 1.5 hours.
The hotel is good. Excellent staff - polite and unobtrusive. He does not flirt with women and behaves quite chastely. The service is equally good regardless of whether you tip them or not. True, it’s a little annoying to constantly ask to bring tea or other drinks at lunch and dinner and sign the bill for them (although for all inclusive all this is free). It would be better if you could take tea and juices yourself, as is the case for breakfast. But, apparently, since bracelets are not worn at the hotel, and not everyone is resting here on the all-inclusive system, it is easier for the staff to issue bills to everyone, and then figure out who should pay for what. The food is decent and quite varied, although for some reason foreigners focused on pasta... But I liked bakery products, stewed vegetables and fish the most.
It was also very useful that the "all inclusive" includes free use of the spa. Despite the fact that in April the weather should have been nice and warm, a strong wind almost constantly blew. Therefore, it was quite cold to swim in the sea and the wind-sheltered SPA with a warm jacuzzi, sauna, hammam and a cold pool helped a lot. As a result, we fully swam in the sea (with masks and fish) only three times.
Not a lot of fish, but we had enough. We even saw three boxfish at once... a flock of needle fish and some other rare fish...
The beach is large and sandy. Nobody interferes with anyone, In addition to the sun umbrellas on the beach, there are wicker screens from the wind. The sunbeds are comfortable and free. Beach towels are issued in any quantity. There are four pools: a paddling pool, a heated pool next to the bar, a cold large pool and a sea water pool right on the beach. But I have never seen anyone swim in it.
Slightly disappointed with the hotel room. It's a bit short of five stars. Plus quite loud air conditioning. But, since it was not very stuffy at night, we just slept with the window open.
Of all the excursions, we chose a trip to Luxor. But, unfortunately, it turned out to be terribly tedious... We were taken away first, so we left the hotel at three in the morning. The bus was with uncomfortable seats and it was not possible to get enough sleep. We traveled to Luxor for seven (! ) hours, although the Pegasus guides assured us that it was only five to go... The local guide Mohammed mostly advertised red and yellow tea, which you can buy from him. The way back took ten (! ) hours in general: one of the two drivers, whose name, unfortunately, I do not know, and who was not distinguished by accuracy when driving, punctured the wheel. They changed it for an hour with the whole crowd (a guide, drivers, an escort with a machine gun and two more traffic police cars arrived) - it was not possible to unscrew the spare wheel from the bottom of the bus. Finally, after the repair, for some reason, we were brought to a roadside cafe, where we waited for about thirty minutes for the guide and drivers to have dinner. Then we drove slowly, because the spare wheel began to beat, and the driver was afraid to accelerate. In a word, we spent a day on the tour! And, accordingly, we hardly slept for a day... If it were not for the local guide Aladdin from Luxor, who spoke very vividly and figuratively about the sights of the city, the tour would have been a nightmare! And so - they suffered only on the bus. But, in fact, we do not regret it, because Luxor is worth the pain. It's just that guides need to be told the truth about how long the journey takes so that tourists are prepared for such difficulties. Well, the Pegasus travel agency needs to purchase a new bus (not Chinese) with more comfortable seats so that you can sleep on the way.
Speaking exclusively about the hotel, we liked the Radisson much more than the neighboring Movenpick, where we went for a walk. Our hotel seemed to us more comfortable and greener. In a word, there are no complaints about the hotel. Wi-Fi throughout the hotel is free, which is also important for those who always need to stay in touch. If we knew in advance that there would be no wind, then, I think, we would go to it a second time.
A year ago, after a holiday in Stella Makadi, we decided to go even further south to be warmer. It cannot be said that in past years it was cold, but in winter you really want warmth. They knew that in Marsa Alam it was 3-5 degrees warmer, so they were looking for a hotel in those parts. Confused, however, by the lack of flights from Kyiv to Marsa Alam airport (again, Muscovites are lucky ... ), so we opted for a solid chain hotel a little closer to Hurghada - Radisson BLU Resort El Quseir 5 *.
Since TEZ Tour had the cheapest one, we decided to take advantage of this offer of a respected, as it seemed to us before, operator. In early November, they took vouchers, and they take it and it’s cheaper in 3 weeks by $ 160! It's a shame! We hurried ((( The request to return the difference 3 weeks before departure was naturally not satisfied! When asked why the tickets for similar dates fell in price, there was an answer: people are afraid to go to Egypt because of the unstable situation. But "the dog rummaged" in another ...Having received the documents a week before departure, we discovered that the departure from Boryspil would not take place at 6.00, as we were announced when we took the tickets, but at 14.35!! ! And then they paid attention to the time of departure from Hurghada ...And it was also moved, but not 9 hours ahead, but 2 hours ago!! ! From 11.10 to 9.10! SUPER! Departure from the hotel at night! So what are these 8 nights?
5 turns out ...Well, okay. We were set for a good rest, so we tried not to think about such lawlessness of the tour operator.
We flew with Windrose. The Airbus A321-200 is relatively old. The pilots are professional. Stewardesses and stewards are normal, they did not notice the special rudeness that we were warned about in advance. Upon arrival, we did not stand in line for a visa for $17, but without a queue we bought visas for $15 at the box office.
A pleasant surprise awaited us at the airport building. Due to the remoteness of the hotel and the fact that we alone went to it, we were put in a Corolla and delivered to the hotel in 1 hour (! ) Nice, at least something Tezy did good.
A delicious Wellcome Drink was waiting for us at the hotel. Having filled out the questionnaire, we received the keys to room 1903. Having read reviews that the Slav brothers were accommodated in bad buildings "without windows, without doors" and "with a view of the desert", I was surprised, did not understand what was the catch, and, just in case, asked if they have a good room, preferably not ground floor.
I was told that at the moment this is the best room of the Standard category hotel, we can look at it and, if not satisfied, either move the next day to a vacant room, or pay extra for SeaView. They put us in an electric car, loaded our luggage there and took us to our room. The latter turned out to be pretty good: one window overlooked the sea, the opposite to the garden, the restaurant. The only drawback, in my opinion, was that the entrance was from the terrace, and not from the opposite side. But for the winter season, this is not important: it's cold to sit on the terrace in the evening))
The room is nice and spacious. My wife was generally delighted with the room and the domed vaults in particular. Slippers. The bathroom is not cramped. The safe worked well. The TV showed BBC, Euronews, CNN, 3 Italian, 5 German-speaking, 7-8 Arabic channels, incl.
musical, RTR planet and some Russian with a single in the form of a logo (ORT is international, if I'm not mistaken). Cleaned the room regularly, linen, towels changed. They didn't leave a tip.
The main restaurant of Scheherazade is small in size, but the tables are quite dense, including on the street. We did not encounter situations when there was no place to sit down for a meal. Perhaps this was helped by the considerable duration of meals: breakfast from 6.30 to 12.00; lunch from 12.30 to 15.30; from 15.00 to sunset snacks at the pool bar; dinner from 18.30 to 23.00. Very comfortably! The food has always been of good quality. Breakfasts are standard: sausages, cheeses, vegetables, eggs, sausages, potatoes, omelettes, scrambled eggs, dairy breakfasts, a huge amount of all kinds of pastries, jams, jams, as well as yogurts and fruits. Lunches and dinners are varied, with dishes tried not to repeat. There have always been poultry, 1-2 types of meat, 1-2 types of fish. The latter, by the way, know how to cook well.
I am a meat lover, but in this hotel I mainly ate fish and squid. For lunch there were always various spaghetti and something fried in the presence of the client on the grill or in a pan. Dinners were even better, with different themes (Mediterranean, Oriental, Italian, etc. ) with a frequency of 1 week. The salads were a very pleasant surprise. They are fresh produce! I used to be afraid of such "good" in hotels. And then I decided to try it alone, since then we have always taken some salads, which, by the way, turned out to be not only fresh but also tasty. Fruits were always in abundance: oranges, tangerines, grapefruits, guava, bananas, dates, melon, pomegranate, apples. Was it not only grapes, persimmons, strawberries and cherries. Desserts in a wide range in the form of pastries, cakes, fruit cocktails, jelly.
Drinks were brought by the waiters: beer, red, rose, white wine, strong local drinks (I ordered vodka), packaged juices, cola, fanta (terrible), sprite, Nescafe, Lipton tea (assorted for breakfast), water. Brewed coffee and fresh juices, imported alcohol for a fee. Pool bar: from 9.00 soft drinks and cocktails, from 12.00 alcohol + cocktails. The latter have a limited list, although you can order from locally available ingredients - they will do anything (Life Style package). The pool bar is open until sunset. Lobby bar Zar around the clock, but from 23.00 to 9.00 for a fee. Bottled water free of charge in unlimited quantities.
The territory of the hotel is quite large, green enough in some places, there is a banana garden, tangerine trees, many flowers, various cacti, a garden of some prickly dry palm trees and cacti. It's very nice to walk around the area. Between the main restaurant and the pools there is a pond with fountains.
Between the large pool and the beach is the so-called lagoon (no one swims in it).
We counted 3 pools: a small one for children, a medium one with heating and a bar on the water, and a large one. We don’t swim in the pools in the presence of the sea, so we can’t add anything more about them. But on the other hand, they went in the form of bad weather (cloudy, strong wind, storm) the next day after arrival at the SPA center. So-so. The sauna is weak, during our stay in it one of the two heating elements broke and the temperature began to fall below 60 degrees. Opposite is some kind of humid steam room, like a hammam, but the stone does not heat up, but warm flavored water is constantly injected into the air. Nearby is another small pool and jacuzzi. The last one is none at all. The water in it is 25-27 degrees, there are few nozzles and they are weak ((
Thank God in the following days there was no need to visit the SPA center, as the weather was good.
The wind was not always and not very strong, there were no clouds and, most importantly, the sea was calm. For the remaining 6 days, a green flag hung, which only briefly changed to yellow a couple of times. The water in the sea was 23-24 degrees. It was not cold to swim, but it was not very comfortable to go out ((It is better to have a towel on hand.
Speaking of towels. The hotel does not use cards for getting towels: you just come up and take a towel. Bracelets, by the way, are also not worn on hands. The only thing is that you always had to sign the bill for drinks (for control). It bothered me at first, but then I got used to it.
Returning to the topic of the sea, it should be noted that the coral near the hotel is not bad, but swimming is allowed only on the left side of the pier. On the right, supposedly, a large current and depth. But with the fish we were not very lucky. Their diversity was relatively small. There is no comparison with Sharm and Makadi. Although there were some fish that had not been seen before.
Lots of small fish. There were many small jellyfish, literally a wall. Because of them, the wife was afraid to swim, although they did not sting. The length of the pier is 120 meters. You can plunge from the shore in slippers into a small bay carved in coral, but at low tide it is too shallow there - knee-deep.
The beach at the hotel is large, there are always enough sunbeds at any time and they stand at a good distance from each other. This is a big plus, as people do not interfere with each other, including smokers. If we are already talking about smoking, it should be noted that smoking in the restaurant and bar is only possible on the street, it is forbidden to smoke in the room. It was nice that on the beach no one sticks to you with any idiotic offers. Meanwhile, for those who want to ride a camel or a horse, there are both.
From entertainment there is also Aqua-gym, boccia, beach volleyball, tennis, backgammon, chess, books. Once a week after dinner there is a show in national costumes.
In the evenings, a good saxophonist played in the restaurant from Sunday to Thursday and some kind of “under” singer sang songs of famous performers. But drunken German grandfathers liked him very much.
Speaking of German grandfathers. Two-thirds of vacationers, especially during the non-holiday period, are represented by European pensioners who speak German, less often English, Italian and French. The younger generations of the couple and family are Italians, British, Germans, French. Russian speakers were seen by only four couples. There were very few vacationers with small children.
Well, finally, a spoon, or maybe a bucket, tar, presented by Teztur, to this barrel of honey. We ordered two excursions from our Teztur hotel guide Mukhamed: Abu Dabab (I wanted to see the turtles) and Aswan. We paid the money and began to wait for the excursion days, respectively, Sundays and Mondays. Excursion to Abu Dabab Bay cost $35 per person, with departure at 7.
10 am from the hotel and return at 13 pm. On Sunday we woke up an hour earlier than usual, had a hasty breakfast and ran to the reception waiting for transport. At 7.25 I was called to the phone at the reception and our guide Mukhamed said that there would be no tour, as the bus had broken down! Does Teztur have one bus? If you can't make a tour - warn us in advance so that we don't get up early, don't get nervous waiting for transport. They were offered to conduct this tour on another day, for example on Tuesday (and this is after Aswan! ), or return the money. Naturally, we refused this excursion the other day. The money for it was returned to us by the guide who accompanied us to Aswan, but no one returned the sleep and nerves ...Now about the excursion to Aswan. It is not in the list of excursions, but we were offered the so-called individual excursion for 7 people at $ 140 per person, while promising all the best. But it didn't work out here either!
But, anyway, we had a wonderful rest in the "south" of Egypt!
I summarize about the hotel: a solid respectable hotel for a relaxing relaxing holiday with high-quality and delicious food, beautiful territory, good rooms, a beautiful beach, a good sea, efficient, helpful staff and a pleasant contingent of vacationers. Will we visit this hotel again? Perhaps someday (wife wants), but by no means with a teztur! ! !
In general, satisfied! Great hotel and everything in it!
Pleased with the absence of animation that was boring in previous years : ))) The absence of bracelets also became original (apparently they are not needed due to the fact that strangers will not wander here - a couple of kilometers to the nearest hotel : )
ONLY CONS: limited beach facilities. Namely, it is not suitable for those who do not know how or poorly swim. For this category, you need to be able to go 1-1.5 meters, hang out on the waves... In our case, because of the corals, there is a very shallow depth and the presence of hedgehogs. It is clear that there is such a natural landscape here, but... Previously, we rested in Sharm with a similar relief of the coastline, but there, in the corals, a small, but small beach was cut down and cleaned, where you could safely walk barefoot along the sandy bottom to the very depths. Personally, I know how to swim - I snorkeled from a remote pier (beauty !!! ), but sometimes I wanted to swim near the shore, and this is problematic in Radisson.
I repeat that this is the ONLY drawback in my opinion! I can recommend this hotel to anyone who is not confused by my description of the limited opportunities for swimming near the shore.
R/S: You don't have to buy souvenirs at the hotel shop. All this and much more and cheaper at Hurghada airport : ) There is plenty of time to buy souvenirs at the airport!
- The food is quite tasty.
-well-mannered staff!! ! (my friend and I were together, so it was very important for us)
- you can enter the sea from the pier or along the sand, as you like. for children, a sandy beach would be the best option
-very few Ukrainians and Russians, so no one speaks Russian except for the guide. so I do not advise those who do not speak a foreign language to go.
the hotel is very quiet. animations 0! but she doesn't need it. This is a place where you can just take a break from everything, relax.
if you want a wild holiday, but the hotel is not for you)))
Regarding the rest, the hotel, etc. : I really liked the hotel, I won’t describe it, and everything is clear 5 stars, the food is super, the only thing that bothered them was their careful attitude to water, I ordered any water, they carry an invoice in which you need to sign, just sign, you don’t have to pay anything, this is how they explained it for internal accounting. For an additional fee (30 euros per person), you can go for a seafood dinner (lobsters, king prawns, etc. ) on the seashore with torches - beauty... Regarding communication, knowledge of English is required here, Ukrainian or Russian no one knows, except for the waiters at the level: "Hi friend, hello girlfriend... ". Of the tourists with us, two more couples left for Kyiv, about the same number of guests from Russia and 85% of the Germans "sehr gut", they are calm people, therefore ours behaved quietly.
There is also a cool sauna - dry and wet, with a jacuzzi, a swimming pool and 10 varieties of green tea, which is served when you lie down, relax with relaxation music, although you will have to pay for tea separately.
The sea is super, divided into two parts - a lagoon and a reef, entering the reef from the pier. In the lagoon, my wife met a sea snake, which just lay and rested, after that for five days we only swam from the pier.
In short, a super vacation is suitable for a company of polyglot divers. And yes: do not go on boat trips with the locals - complete bullshit.
We were 2 couples and adjoining rooms made it possible to spend evenings directly on someone's balcony. And after that, do not cross over the entire territory on the eyebrows.
The abundance of foreigners and the shortage of Russians made our stay more than comfortable. The all inclusive included free access to the relaxation center: jacuzzi, sauna, hammam, swimming pool. In general, it was cool. There was enough food. It cannot be said that there was an abundance of everything, but it was quite possible to gain your daily allowance of kilocalories. The attendants speak English and diligently wrinkle their foreheads, memorizing Russian words. The sea is great. I liked it more than Sharm. I advise you to go to Luxor. The temple of Karnak there is something amazing. From the colonnade there was almost an attack. When leaving, they tried to heat up 20 dollars by entering a certain amount of drunk drinks into the minibar, but the middle finger, shown in the immediate vicinity of the administrator, made it possible to do without scuffle. In short, I advise you to go. I would definitely go.
EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL, BUT THERE IS ONE TROUBLE WHICH SURPRISED ME.
BE CAREFUL WITH A DIVING TRIP UNDER THE LEAD OF THE SO-CALLED ALLA. FIRST OF ALL. YOU WILL BE TOLD WITHIN 3 HOURS HOW ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE AFFECTS THE HUMAN BODY. AFTER EVERYTHING THEY WILL DIP FOR YOUR 55 DOLLARS IN A MUDDY DEEP 3 METERS DEEP, ACCOMPANIED BY PEOPLE WHO DO NOT SPEAK PORUSIAN. THEY WILL REQUIRE 40EURO PAYMENTS FROM YOU AND AS A RESULTS OF IT WILL YOU NOT BRING YOU A BLANK DISC. (WITHOUT RECORDING)
AND THE MOST UNPLEASANT WILL BE FURNISHED SO THAT YOU MADE FAVORITES.
BE CAREFUL.
APPEARING TO EVERYTHING IN EGYPT, OUR BROTHER ORGANIZED A NON-OBJECTIVE SOVIET SERVICE. NAMES. SASHA, VALERA, ALLA . .
MAYBE FICTIONAL. BE CAREFUL. AND BEFORE YOU MAKE A DIVING DECISION, SERIOUSLY ASK HOW EVERYTHING WILL HAPPEN AND WHO IS ORGANIZING.
Tour operator - MIBS Travel. Grade 2+.
Of course, I welcome healthy indifference in work, but there is a lot of pathos (they say, there is a lot of work, although I didn’t see either a queue at the agency or 100% occupancy of the hotel), they mistakenly entered HB instead of All in the vouchers (it’s good that we noticed and asked to fix it) ...
Host - Azur Tour. Grade 4.
Radisson SAS hotel, fully compliant with network rules. The territory is huge, about 700 x 500 m, all this for 450 people, people are not visible.
Accommodation in one-two-storey stone cottages distributed throughout the territory, wall thickness 0.5m, ceiling height up to 4m, room area 30m2.
That is, the investment per 1 vacationer is very large.
Well, there, streams / paths / greenery / pools - like in the rest of the normal 5...
The food is of good quality, corresponds to the hotel, but a bit monotonous.
On the other hand, it is noticed by 5-6 days, and does not bother.
Drinking ...Take it for granted that you will not drink alcohol. Gross is not the right word. Although - you don’t really want to drink in Egypt, so take it with you : ).
The beach is 700 m long, cleaned daily of shells and leveled, there is a pontoon, you can swim in the open sea.
There are all the amenities inherent in a 5-ke - a small gym, a sauna, an unrealistically expensive massage room : ).
Animation - no, but what is, causes a smile. And in general, the hotel is suitable for the most relaxing holiday, and ideal for European pensioners, who arrived in the amount of 50 people on our last day of rest : ).
Am I satisfied with the prices and the hotel - yes.
Will I go to the hotel again - no.
Go to Quseir by taxi from the hotel (10-15 euros) and go to the fortress for a tour (2 dollars per person) - definitely worth it!!!
And now the main thing - do not buy any souvenirs either in the hotel or in the city.
Upon departure, in Hurghada there is a huge duty free, the prices in which are one and a half times lower than in the hotel and in Kuzer : )
