And of course, the incomparable nature, the old coniferous park san, fresh in any heat. Ukraine is just a fairy tale for walks, especially with small children.
In general, while relaxing in the Rubicon, I felt that I, as a tourist, was respected!
The room has everything you need (although we had the cheapest one - standard B) - a lot of towels, shampoos, gels, shower caps, cotton pads, cotton buds, slippers, a kettle, a lot of dishes, a corkscrew, an opener, a knife (sharp! ) , cutting board. For a long time we were looking for flaws in the room and found - the pillows are a little high for us (unusual) ; -), but maybe there is not enough additional hook in the bathroom for clothes. But this, of course, is nonsense!
Room cleaning is daily, but the quality of cleaning depends on what kind of maid. Sometimes it's just clean, sometimes it's very well cleaned!
The day before departure, we remembered that the Rubicon website promised us a jacuzzi (for more than 3 days). The administrator immediately suggested the jacuzzi option for tomorrow (departure day), in the morning in the "Marine" building!
Meals in the restaurant "At the mother-in-law" left a double impression. Breakfasts are wonderful. At first there was a customized menu, then by May Day people pulled themselves up and became a buffet. There is a lot of everything and everything is very tasty, and cereals, and hot (up to shish kebabs, and this is for breakfast! ), And sandwiches, and desserts, and coffee! But several times we dined there, and the impression is worse. They took different dishes and most often it is warmed food in the microwave with some kind of sauce and not cheap. Maybe there just aren't that many people! But we really liked the cafe "Tea House" when descending to the beach! The view is gorgeous, the portions are large and delicious! The menu is varied. Recommend!
I read negative reviews about Rubicon. They write that he is standing on the road - complete nonsense, 3-4 minutes to the road at a leisurely pace, 5 minutes and you are at a bus stop, you want to Yalta, you want to Alupka. Although in Gaspra itself there are many small hotels that really stand right above the road.
They write that the playground is over the cliff. I was looking for where this cliff was - I didn’t find it....But I’ll also note that there is a playground both in the GK itself and in the restaurant "At the mother-in-law" - wonderful!
So I recommend Rubicon. I draw your attention to the fact that we were in April, the beaches are empty, go wherever you want, there are no problems. But here in the season, I think that the beaches are densely populated (but these are my speculations).
I hasten to disagree with you! My family and I, for the third year in a row we have been coming to rest in the Rubicon, we were initially advised by friends, so this summer I went to the hotel website, got acquainted with the prices and room categories, contacted the administrator, who told everything in an accessible way, offered to stay in a new Corps "Marine". Of all the categories, there was a junior suite available, a one-room but still quite spacious room (about 30 sq. m) and with a balcony from which you can see a gorgeous view of the sea, which is not unimportant.
The price includes breakfast (buffet), and for lunch and dinner they make a 10% discount, the food is varied for every taste - fresh vegetables, salads, meat, side dishes, while they cook very tasty.
Both the staff and the management are always friendly and polite, while not intrusive, whatever you ask they will do, whatever you ask they will tell, they conducted a tour of each category of rooms, all the rooms are excellent, good design... that is typical for the Rubicon, judging by on the 1st building.
And as for parking and sunbeds, I don’t know where you found such prices (50 UAH, and sunbeds 40 UAH), as far as I know, my husband paid 20 UAH for parking. per day and sun loungers on the beach were purchased for 20 UAH, a beach umbrella was in the room.
The Morskoy building turned out to be quite decent, with cozy rooms and a beautiful territory, the rest in which, on the whole, left a favorable impression,
My family and I love it and recommend to friends.
But this year, while living in the Morskoy building, I was convinced that the staff and management of the Civil Code were covered by the disease of the entire Crimea: "cut cabbage" or deceive your neighbor, because the holiday season is short, and you want more money.
Specific claims: when renting a room of the "Suite" category (according to the administration), after reading the description of this on the Rubicon website, I found that, according to its characteristics, it falls exclusively into the "junior suite" category, namely: declared two rooms, each 25 sq. . m. , no, but there is a "one-room family room with a balcony, room size 30 sq. m. " (description of the junior suite from the site). Accordingly, the price of a room should not be 1300 UAH, but 1000 UAH. per day (Rubicon tariffs). But the administration of the Civil Code (Natasha, hello) decided to call this room "suite", without even bothering to change its description on its website (it's like in a familiar situation on the South Coast: "Parking - 50 UAH. " or "Sunbed - 40", "Why ? ”, “But because... if you don’t like it, don’t pay. ” And we pay because the car needs to be installed, and a scandal and justified claims can lead to nails, scratches, etc. ). A certain Vladimir Valentinovich, who was introduced to me as a director, generally said that I was the first to pay attention to this and make claims (iron logic, don’t complain - it means I’m right), and an appendix with an area of u200bu200babout 10 square meters, fenced off from the main rooms with a curtain - this is the same "second room of 25 frames". And my explanations that I don’t care how many squares there are and the living conditions in this room suit me, but it’s the stupid deception on their part that doesn’t suit me when they wanted to have a “suite” in the room fund and unreasonably heat up an extra 300 UAH. per day. And I only asked to recalculate the cost of the room as a "junior suite" according to the official information on the descriptions of the rooms and rates given by the "Rubicon" itself. The amount was ridiculous for a high-level hotel (as they present themselves), but the answer was the same - for them it is "suite" and there will be no recalculation.
I am writing all this not because of money, but because of such "unfortunate businessmen" in combination with parking attendants, beach workers, cashiers at Ai-Petri Teeth, etc. , as well as the attitude to clients (vacationers) as prey, the desire to go to the Crimea and overpay for the love of these places disappears. I agree to pay, but only for the services provided on honest grounds, and not according to the principle: "I took a step - I paid. " Perhaps with my post I will save someone money (if there is a desire to quarrel) or the administration will finally give truthful information on the site according to the descriptions of the rooms. There are a number of negative points in the "Rubicon" (from personal experience and based on the initiative stories of other vacationers), which incline me to look for new vacation spots on the South Coast or to the bourgeois service.
Conclusion: if you are lucky and you do not show the symptoms of the disease of the Rubicon administration described above or out of habit - rest there, otherwise - look for other hotels where the service is at the same level and prices are similar or lower (as it turned out - they are, but will not advertise). Have a nice and carefree holiday.
Where to go to the Crimea was chosen for a long time and carefully - they stopped at the Rubicon. Because if Crimea, then the South Coast and not far from the sea. We booked ourselves (without a travel agency), called us, they told us how and where to pay - we paid for 1 day, a junior suite. There are no places in the Rubicon itself, but in the Marine building - please! We did not know the hotel, but agreed. And upon arrival, they did not regret it !! ! even then, on the contrary, they were delighted, because. it is a new modern building and closer to the sea.
We arrived and were seated in 5 minutes. no problem! The car was parked (20 UAH per day extra)
They carried things and bags themselves - no one even helped (thanks that at least they allowed the car to fit to the hull)!
Hotel: consists of 2 buildings: Rubicon (main building 4 floors) has been operating since 2006. and Corps "Morskoy" in 2011.
Located on the territory of the sanatorium "Ukraine".
The hotel has practically no territory, only courtyards near the buildings (with children's playgrounds and we have an inflatable pool and sun loungers), but you can walk without problems, go to the beach (there is an elevator) through the "Ukraine". Everything is green, alleys, benches - a great green park area! The air is amazing!!!
Number: Corps "Marine" - new, modern, number - respectively!
Everything is new, clean and not yet broken), with a balcony.
Each room has its own exit (there is no corridor system)
Cleaned every day (very carefully vacuumed -because there is carpet)
Slippers, shower caps, small soaps, shampoos and shower gels - it's all there!
Bathrobes - only in suites.
In our junior suite: a double bed (in a niche), a hanger, a huge mirror, a double sofa, air conditioning, 2 chairs, a huge wardrobe (it also has a safe), a cabinet with a plasma TV, a mini-bar. Spacious and comfortable!
Beach: - Rubicon does not have its own, they issue entrance cards to the beach of "Ukraine".
Medium pebble. Everyone went to the sea in shoes. Clean and even very! With beer, for example, they will not be allowed on the beach. You can't smoke either. Do everything on the embankment! People were happy, no one complained, on the contrary, both smokers and non-smokers. Sun lounger rental - 20 UAH. (approx. 2.5 dollars) for one for the whole day (on other beaches of Marat, Pine Grove, etc. - 40 UAH! )
The sea was clean, warm and pleasantly refreshing. 3-4 days there was a storm, the waves overwhelmed the entire beach (despite the breakwater), so everyone stood, but it was fun to jump on the bank and see)
Places on the beach had to be taken early in the morning (
Embankment: noisy, a lot of people!
An endless number of stalls, cafes, bars, diving, tennis, mattress rental, etc.
Everything is here: from hot dinners, alcohol, ice cream, pancakes, fruits, hot corn to live music, karaoke (in the evenings).
You can go down to the beach by elevator through Ukraine (6 UAH per person), but it’s very cold in the tunnel, or on foot! It's not far at all, but it's a bit high to "crawl", especially not to go down to the beach, but to return "uphill"! In the heat with a child and things - physical education is still the same)))
Meals and prices:
(because of which there is a double opinion)
Prices for everything are too high and even very much!
Especially food, fruits, water and alcohol (but this is Crimea, it doesn’t happen differently here, especially at the height of the season).
Breakfast: in the restaurant "At the mother-in-law" - included in the price. From 9 to 11. Normal, varied: milk porridge, potatoes, salads (alternating in 2: olivier, fur coat, vinaigrette, something like mimosa, etc. ), vegetables (tomato, cucumber), meat slices, cottage cheese, muesli, milk, eggs, sausages, pate, cheese (a little), fruits, ice cream, juices, tea, coffee, olives, bread, buns, even charlotte and some sweet pies were. In general, you will not be hungry, you can choose, especially since there is no one else at home!
Then lunch and dinner - well, it's just a song (
To eat "in the mother-in-law" - you need to have time to take a table!
From 12 noon for lunch, the tables are already occupied and finding a table is sooo hard! They are released from 15. In the evening, the same thing (Despite the fact that they are up to 23.
You have to wait at least an hour for your order!
Once in the evening, our child did not wait for dinner - he fell asleep in his arms. I could not stand it, I went to the waiters to ask them to take out at least something - feed the child, pay for the order and leave! They still didn't deliver quickly! Despite the fact that we ordered the elementary: a chop for ourselves, a child - pasta and a cutlet. Horror! With this occupation of tables and the expectation of food, they suffered!
went to another place - "Malibu" - dined for 500 UAH!
3 borscht
3 steaks
2 free cards
3 juice
and bread! Everything!! ! Don't go anymore!
For several days they went to eat in the canteen of the san. "Ukraine" - a soviet canteen "cheaply", the food was soy-salad cabbage.
Breakfast 30 UAH, lunch - 40.
We couldn't last more than a couple of days!
Sorry that there are so many "bukoFF", I just wanted to describe the whole picture of the rest)
rested well: the weather and nature and the hotel - super!
But the food is not well thought out! Running, "bouncing around" and looking for somewhere to feed the child - pretty spoils the overall impression!
to Crimean prices and service - be prepared!
Last year, we rested in a private mini-hotel in Evpatoria, and from our own experience we were convinced that in this case there is more order, the territory is cleaner, and the prices are not higher than in large sanatoriums-boarding houses.
Of my personal preferences, Crimea was chosen (my wife realized that it was useless to argue, but in my opinion, the climate of Crimea is much milder and more comfortable than the same Turkey). Actually, the question was in choosing a place of rest that suited all these requests. Hundreds of reviews on the network were shoveled, and the choice was made on the village of Miskhor (options - the Marat Park Hotel and the Rubikon complex). After contacting the administrator of "Marat", a condition was set for 100% prepayment for the entire period of stay, which did not quite suit us, because, having a 4-year-old child, in May-June it is difficult to make 100% plans for mid-August. In Rubicon, they offered to carry an advance payment for the first 3 nights of stay in the name of the hotel director. Of course, it is somewhat dumb to transfer money in cash via Western Union to an individual (if anything, there are practically no chances to return them), but the fears were not justified, the administrator called back about receiving the prepayment in a day.
So: booked a standard room "A" on the 2nd floor with a balcony for 14 days. Upon arrival in Miskhor, you can see the Rubicon sign, a gate and a small 2-storey building from the road. The receptionist who greeted us took us to our room. It was on the same floor as the entrance. To a surprised question, what about the 2nd floor and the balcony, the girl opened the door to the balcony, and it turned out that the building was on a rather steep slope, and on the other side of the building it was actually the 2nd floor, and quite high. It should be noted that we did not see rooms located towards the road, all windows and balconies are directed towards the sea. From our balcony, between tall cypresses, one could see the sea in one direction, and Ai-Petri in the other. Beautiful.
Declared in all brochures and on the site 300 meters from the sea is a steep descent, on which it is inconvenient to walk with a small child. The beach rented from the sanatorium "Ukraine" is located 200-300 meters from the exit to the embankment. Therefore, we went to the beach through the territory of "Ukraine", since this path is much more gentle (it is more convenient to go with a child), shady, and is, in fact, a well-groomed park. For lazy people, there is the Marata cable car to the beach (20 hryvnias in both directions), there is a Ukraina elevator (6 hryvnias), but we used the Marata cable car only once - just to ride our son, and that’s all time to walk. In general, there was no big strain in these walks - 10 minutes at a leisurely pace.
Beach. Quite crowded but clean. Entrance by passes is free, for renting a sun lounger for the day it is proposed to pay 20 hryvnia per person. They never took it. The pebbles are small enough that even a 4-year-old child could walk barefoot on it, but at the same time large enough not to clog under swimming trunks after sitting on the surf line with their booty.
There is a toilet, free of charge, 30 meters from the beach.
They say that Miskhor has the warmest sea in all of Crimea. This is probably true, because for all 2 weeks the water temperature did not drop below 24’C, and next door there were vacationers on the beach who came from the west coast, where the water was 15-16 degrees. Water is the purest. If the sea is calm, then from the edge of the pier, where the depth is about 4 meters (when diving to the bottom, it puts a lot of pressure on my ears, as a non-diver), algae and pebbles at the bottom are visible from above.
Room and hotel staff. Good solid room, clean, on the windows - mosquito net. Air conditioning, safe, standard 2-door wardrobe, coat hangers. The room has an electric kettle (other hotels do not allow the use of an imported boiler) and a hairdryer. In addition to the double bed there is an extra bed - a folding sofa. The furniture is all new, not shabby. In the bedside table under the TV - 2 plates, 2 glasses, 2 cups with saucers, a set of spoons, forks, knives. Refrigerator (works like a beast, but silently). Telephone. The bathroom is quite large in area - about 3.5x1.8 m, shower. Hot and cold water around the clock. A heated towel rail with faucets - on the first day I noticed that water was dripping a little on the floor from this faucet - after contacting the reception, the faucet was repaired within half an hour. All toiletries (soap, shampoo, some kind of gel, caps) are available. Toilet paper + spare roll. An interesting point: on the wall near the toilet paper is attached a small plastic box with the inscription “for lady”. It contains small plastic bags (due to my darkness I didn’t know what happens : ), I haven’t seen this in 5 * Turkish hotels). Large, small and beach towels for each resident, changed EVERY DAY for clean ones. Bed linen is changed every 3-4 days, I can’t say for sure, but for 2 weeks of stay they changed it four times. They clean the room during their stay on the beach, once returned for a camera and found the cleaning lady - she said hello and left so as not to disturb me. Pleasantly tactful behavior of the staff in general. The girls at the reception are polite and friendly, they helped to orientate both in geography (we are in the big Yalta for the first time) and in sights, and in transport. They called a taxi at the first request. Thank them.
Nutrition.
It is carried out in the U Teschi restaurant, which has already been repeatedly described in other reviews. It is part of the Rubicon complex, the price includes a buffet breakfast. The breakfast is good - there is also a dairy kitchen - every day there is porridge, and just hot milk, you can cook cereal, muesli or chocolate balls like Nesquik (I don’t know what they are called correctly). At the same time, two types of fermented milk products are yogurt and kefir. At the same time, two types of salad (fresh), at the same time 2 types of meat (chops - sausages - roast on the ribs - cutlets alternated), garnish (rice-pasta-buckwheat-potatoes alternated), boiled eggs, scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs, 2 types of juices, tea - coffee bags of your choice. Cakes or sweet pie. Fruits (watermelon, melon, chopped peaches).
Yes, even breakfast included ice cream (2 types at the same time) - take as much as you want... This is my main sadness - I didn’t notice ice cream on the first day...
We spent lunch and dinner there - they cook very well, my son ate normally without persuasion. There is a children's menu with reduced portions, and the price is 2 times lower, which is also nice. As an indicator, people from neighboring boarding houses came to eat at Mother-in-Law, so when visiting a restaurant at rush hour, it was not always possible to find a place, and the waiting time for an order was up to 40-50 minutes. Then we just started to come and order a little earlier, the problem disappeared. The waitress girls in beautiful suits (and the waiter guys in bloomers) were friendly, helped to navigate the menu and cooking time, Victoria was especially fascinated by us, we even tried to figure out her tables (they changed by shifts). If she reads these lines, hello to her.
Mother-in-law has live music. Different visitors have different attitudes towards the performer, but the repertoire is not annoying, and at 23-00 loud music stops. Children can sleep peacefully. At night, the territory is guarded, outsiders are not allowed. One night I woke up due to the fact that some amused youth tried to break through the territory of the complex to the sea, the censored part of the conversation with the guards was that they were local. Didn't miss. Yes, there is a guarded parking lot on the territory, the Kursk Camry stood there for the first 3 days - hello fellow countrymen!
There is practically no entertainment in Miskhor itself. But there are no problems with transport - we mostly went by taxi to Yalta - 20 minutes (embankment, zoo, glade of fairy tales), to Alupka - 10 minutes (Vorontsov Palace, park, wine tasting : )). The location of the hotel is excellent - close to busy villages, but not in them.
Well, that's probably all. Summing up, I want to say that my wife, a supporter of foreign holidays, came to the conclusion that this was the first place where she wants to return. And I knowingly took her there : ) . And somehow I have nothing to wish for improvement. Well, if only to add staff to the kitchen "At the mother-in-law" in order to wait less for an order even at "rush hour".
I recommend for rest, including with children.
P. S. Another young family with a small child went to Rubicon with us. Their father, the head of the family, was an opponent of "our" resorts, he wanted Turkey. So he finally came to the conclusion that he had a great rest, better than last time with the Turks, and we did well that they dragged him to Miskhor.
