I liked the hotel, checked in quickly, the room was cozy and tidy. The staff was polite, always ready to help. Fed, not to say luxuriously, but quite decently. You can overeat at home, but we flew to relax, swim and gain maximum impressions.
Then someone said that it was boring in the evenings and the animation was weak. Friends, firstly, if there are at least two of you, then it is no longer boring. You can calmly chat over a glass of wine (after all, at home, due to a frantic schedule, sometimes you don’t even have time to exchange a word), you can explore the city and sights, shops. Thank God there is something to see.
I highly recommend visiting the archaeological museum.
It is also worth visiting the fish restaurant in the center. For 13 euros they bring a delicious salad, a huge plate of seafood and delicious local wine.
You can also definitely visit shops selling fur coats and fur products. In Cyprus, this business is on a grand scale. A bunch of factories where they sew really cool fur coats. We were in the FUR store (Elite Furs) in Paphos. A huge selection, factory quality, and prices are four times lower than Kiev ones. At the same time, their service is of a high quality. They are taken from the hotel, taken to the store, kissed, if something is missing, taken to another store without any problems, and so on. Really takes envy. It is hard to imagine that in Ukraine one of the sellers was so fussy and loved the client so much. For the first time we limited ourselves to a vest, but in October we will definitely go on tour to them for a more serious fur coat)
Summarizing all of the above, Cyprus is this heavenly place. And the Riu Cypria Resort is the right place to get to know it for the first time. Advice: do not sit for days in a hotel. Walk around the city, look around the island. Impressions guaranteed!

Riu Cypria Resort 4* The hotel is generally good for the price and quality, Drinks, food, service at a good level. Disadvantages: for some reason there is no information that the hotel consists of two buildings "maris" and "bay", not very important, but one is newer, and maybe this is important to someone, especially since the pools and bars are different, although you can use everyone without restrictions.

Riu Cypria Resort 4* The hotel is generally good for the price and quality, Drinks, food, service at a good level. Disadvantages:
for some reason there is no information that the hotel consists of two buildings "maris" and "bay", not very important, but one is newer, and maybe this is important to someone, especially since the pools and bars are different, although you can use everyone without restrictions.
For some reason, the beach was poorly cleaned and was, let's say, not very clean. Unlike neighboring hotels. Animation is weak, at least in Maris, the animation team is not interested in attracting people to events. A volleyball net was hung at the end of the holiday, but no games were organized.
At the reception, Angela is a Russian-speaking administrator, she liked it very much, she has information, is charming, quickly and competently responds to any requests from tourists. The staff is friendly, many people from our republics who have been living there for many years.
All in all a good hotel for families.

Only 2 weeks since we returned from Cyprus, and so far everything is so clear before our eyes, as if only yesterday we flew away from there. Only 2 weeks since we returned from Cyprus, and so far everything is so clear before our eyes, as if only yesterday we flew away from there. I'll start with how we arrived early in the morning in Paphos. Everyone knows that check-in starts at 12-2 pm, so it was a little upsetting that we would suddenly have to wait until that time and hang out without a place, but this did not happen. After we were brought to the hotel, we were met at the airport in an organized manner, it took about 10 minutes to get to the hotel (because the arrival was in Paphos), after filling out the guest card, we were settled in a free room (the room was standard, that is, everything was ), enough to relax after the flight and immediately be able to use all the services of the hotel. Without waiting for 12 o'clock, we were settled in our room, where they brought the third bed (it's like our folding bed, but with a large and thick mattress - there were no inconveniences throughout all the days). The room is ordinary, most importantly, everything worked, with a side view of the sea, you could admire the sea on one side, on the other - the city and endless take-offs and landings of planes, daily cleaning, change of linen was every three days, but it did not bother. On the first day they brought wine and fruit to the room, as new guests - a little, but nice! At the expense of food, of course, there are comments, because everything is monotonous from day to day, but it is impossible to stay hungry - this is a fact! You just get bored with the monotony, I personally lacked Russian first courses (well, I'm not used to puree soup). . . Enough fruits, sweets, plenty to choose from. There were no problems with drinking either, for every taste and color, and if you speak English, then you can agree on your own drink, what to pour and in what proportions. The contingent is mostly foreigners, speech is heard in all sorts of languages, I was very pleased with this. I practically did not hear Russian speech, so the echoes on the beach were heard. Well, the beach and the sea are magnificent! A wonderful sandy beach, on which it is pleasant to walk barefoot both during the day and in the evening, a gentle entrance to the sea, the main thing is to go far to the depths, and whoever wanted to swim and jumped from the pier, the sea was very warm, even if it caused algae, but it’s so trifle. Therefore, we sat in the water for hours and got such a buzz! When the sea was stormy, the bay saved a lot, there was practically no wave to the shore. And walking along this bay in the evening is a pleasure! There were inconveniences with sunbeds, because they need to be taken at 7 am, otherwise you can be left without them, but again, how great it is to take a walk at such a time - silence, birds sing, fresh air! Of course, there were not enough sunbeds for some period, apparently, there was a high occupancy, but after a couple of days it was possible to find free sunbeds under a wonderful palm tree, in the shade after dinner. There are very few Russian-speaking staff, so advice for those who do not speak English - take a phrase book, it will help! There is a Russian girl at the reception - Angela, if you need something, for example, wake up, call a car or just ask for details about the hotel, catch the days when she works, there is one Russian girl in the bar (I saw it once), there are maids on the floors, who will prompt and guide you, in restaurants there are a couple of people who understand and speak Russian. We had no difficulties with this, and if questions arose and we could not explain ourselves even with the help of fingers, then these people immediately came and everything was resolved. Animations are minimal, the animators themselves behave very unobtrusively, tactfully. Mini-discos were arranged for children every evening, although everything was not in Russian, but in the lobby of our hotel on certain days in the evenings the girl played the piano, the next day she sang, in the neighboring hotel (Riu Cypria Bay) there was both karaoke and a disco. But we weren’t interested in it, there was enough daytime rest, and in the evenings we just wanted to sit on the balconies, take a walk along the alleys along the coast, and if we were really tired of everything, we went outside the hotel, where there are also bars, restaurants, shops and many other pleasant for walking walking places (at first it was unacceptable for them to drive on the left, but over time they got used to it). In conclusion, we were satisfied with both the island as a whole and the hotel. A lot of positive emotions, pleasant memories. Cyprus is a place where you can relax quietly and calmly. Calm, open and friendly resort is ideal for all categories of people and for those who do not like crowded beach!! !

The room turned out to be more or less nothing: everything is simple, but the furniture is new, the sea view (which we paid in advance) was quite relative, rather it was a room overlooking a large bush that blocked all sea views. But I'm not one of those people who find fault with trifles, so we decided that the sea and a delicious dinner should compensate for all this. What was our disappointment when we came for dinner and were amazed at the monotony and scarcity of dishes. In addition, this hotel is completely self-service: you have to set the table yourself (forks and knives lay only during dinner), you also have to go to the neighboring bar for alcohol and other drinks, i. e. the waiters were needed only to clean dirty dishes. As for the evening animation, it is not at all, that is, in the evening you can die of boredom. The only positive thing about this hotel is the sea. . . It is very beautiful, gentle with a sandy beach, which, by the way, no other hotel in Paphos has. In general, I wanted to go home in a few days. Maybe I wanted too much from 4 *, but it was a pity for the money spent, to be honest. . .

I really liked the hotel. The food was very good, you can't go hungry! The territory is green, swimming pools for every taste. There is an entrance to the sea from the pier, there is from the shore. The beach is bulky, but if you don’t jump in order to dig into the sand, you won’t be able to break your legs.

The territory is green, swimming pools for every taste. There is an entrance to the sea from the pier, there is from the shore. The beach is bulky, but if you don’t jump in order to dig into the sand, you won’t be able to break your legs. But in order to swim, you don’t have to go to the depth for half an hour, and the algae don’t really interfere. You can swim with a mask. Sun beds at a decent distance (by the pool, on the lawn, not on the sand, on the pier), no one interferes with anyone, but you need to borrow in the morning.
To the center of Paphos on foot 20-25 minutes. From the hotel to the left, if you turn onto the beach at the sign-municipal beach, you will get to the promenade with illumination, it will lead you to the center.
Animation in English.
We liked the rest. Wine, liquor, vodka can be bought at Paphos airport, it’s definitely not more expensive there and you don’t need to think about how to pack it.

A couple of days ago I returned from Rio; Cyprus is impressive. The most vivid memory of Kykkos. Monastery.
And now, in order, about what is usually important for me when choosing;
The hotel is a good four, questions only to the number of rooms.
The hotel is divided into two Rio Sapria Maris and Rio Sapria Bay. In the first, we were lucky with the territory, from all sides, in the second, if the side is on the sea, then it is a dump, BUT the rooms are more luxurious and the hall is like that of 5k. So it's up to you. If I chose again, I would still stop at Rio Maris. As for entering the sea. There is a sand area. But specific algae make the entrance unpleasant, my 6 year old son also entered from a wooden platform; So no problem. The pools are clean and varied. Near the bar there is a jacuzzi (party place))))) Vodopadiki. Very nice. The territory along the coast is one of the five greenest. Not very big, but enough space for everyone. AMAZING, but everything is in order with the animation, which is rare for Cyprus.
Nutrition. Maybe there is no such useless variety as hotels in Turkey, but for every taste and without soy. Mussels, shrimp, meat - always. Breakfast is also enough to diversify.
Room cleaning daily. Only once did I leave a tip. Swans twisted, cleaned cleanly, changed the bed every other day. So I'm happy with the service. If there were any nuances, they are insignificant. The water went out and they fixed it within an hour.
Receiving Party: Atika Holiday. Norik - all in a timely manner. And clearly on excursions.
Alas, they failed with the flight, the office did not send a fax about the flight delay. So the early rise was not very pleasant due to the postponed departure. But I think it's private. Purely human factor.
Excursions. There are nuances that you need to know in advance.
The bird park is worth a look. A little dirty, because the birds "walk" where they go, but pheasants and peacocks go where they want, like our pigeons. You need to go in the morning, because (they didn’t warn us about this) the last minibus leaves the Park back at 1.00, and the park itself is open until 2.00. No one will call you a taxi, and it’s unrealistic to get from there. They have a hard time with transport. Almost all of them drive cars.
From the hotel to the center of Paphos and along the promenade and along the road about 20 minutes.
Liked the archaeological site. Worth going.
From excursions chose the Grand Tour. Half a day is nothing. The only place for which I would come to Cyprus again is the monastery of Kykkos. Very interesting story. The temple itself is a solid fresco. Amazing place. Souvenirs are all expensive. Ride with your crosses, which can be consecrated by touching the icon of the Mother of God, one of the three icons painted by St. Luke during the life of the Mother of God and blessed by her. Truly a relic. But, there are nuances The nature of the entire Grand Tour impressed, but it is almost impossible to photograph it in motion. There was a professional guide, Katerina, she is very smart, she told a lot of things, but it was something like this: behind that hill is this and that, and five kilometers from us is Nicosia, she is famous for that and that. And the arrival in Lefkara is purely commercial, so that tourists buy absurdly expensive silver, including filigree weaving and Lefkara embroidery. But when you're on tour, you don't get it. The same option with the village, where there was a wine tasting. It is tiring to drive for such a long time, especially if you can buy wine in duty free. But Kykkos is worth it. Alternative - Unknown Cyprus. It passes many useless stops and nature is more beautiful.
Cars for rent at every step. BUT the Cypriots themselves do not recommend (of course, not the sellers of cars; )) There are many of us who cannot adapt to left-hand traffic - accidents are a regularity.
Bottom line: happy with the ride. The child was bored due to the fact that there were few Russian-speaking children. There is a daytime kids club; ) Although I would prefer an evening one)))

Apparently Russians are not people, they can be settled worse. The rooms are good, but everything in the hotel itself is old. The rooms are cleaned daily, but this cleaning continues all day long. It is impossible to put the child to sleep in the room. Since there is noise, din and a vacuum cleaner in the corridor. There is nowhere to hide on the territory of the hotel with a stroller, either noisy or hot. Further food, when they bought a ticket, they said that there is a children's menu. In fact, there is no children's menu at all, especially for a child who is 1.5 years old. In the morning, only one porridge for breakfast (it is not clear from what), in the afternoon one kind of soup with some spices. It's good that I took porridge in boxes with me. Then, nevertheless, they agreed that the child would cook vegetable soup for dinner. Further, the beach is also clearly not for children and adults are also not very comfortable. Sand and stones in it. Even cobblestones. You go into the sea the same way, only you look so as not to break your legs. There are few sun loungers on the beach, mostly everything is on the grass. The Russians, as usual, will hang towels and leave for the whole day. . It feels like on the beach in Sochi. The hotel area is small. There is practically no children's animation, a children's room is only for foreigners. Since no one speaks Russian there. So I do not advise anyone to go to this hotel with a small child. There are no conditions at all.

We rested in Riu Cypria Bay together with a friend, we were very lucky that we settled in this particular building, since Russians are usually settled in the second Maris building, which is much older. I would like to note the food is 5+, the sea is very beautiful, but the beach is near the hotel not really, if you go by bus, about 15 minutes, you can find yourself on a paradise beach called Coral Bay, white sand and azure sea, mmmmmm.

As for excursions, I advise a donkey ride, and who loves history- Kykkos monastery. Shopping - 30 minutes to the center of Paphos by bus, we got on sales, you can buy clothes of famous brands at very attractive prices. As for entertainment, I advise the Cartel club, a super place !!! !

I (I'm 19) rested with my mother at the very beginning of July. Unforgettable impressions from both the country and the resort with the hotel!
But first things first.
Despite the fact that we arrived at the hotel at about 4 in the morning, and check-in from 14 (or 12, I don’t remember, we were immediately given a room and fed an unpaid breakfast in the morning.
The rooms are very clean and comfortable. There is a wardrobe, a bed, 2 bedside tables, a lot of different lamps (both by the bed, and above the bed, and in the corridor... ), which can be turned on without getting off the bed - the switches are located on the back of the bed - very convenient - no need to stretch anywhere, ottoman, 2 armchairs, table, mirror, TV with Russian channel, hairdryer, refrigerator (it cooled, but the freezer did not work), air conditioning, balcony with table and chairs, bath, shower, etc. It was not convenient that there was only 1 outlet - either a hairdryer or a refrigerator works. But this did not bother us - we both cooled and charged, and so on. They cleaned every day, changed towels every day (2 small, 2 large, 2 beach and foot mat), changed linen 3 times. The maids are very friendly, many speak Russian, laid out very beautiful swans from towels.
Our room was overlooking the road - but we always had a shade, unlike rooms with sea views.
We had 2 meals a day - breakfast and dinner - we had enough and did not want to anymore.
You can have breakfast both on the terrace and inside. They gave scrambled eggs (fried in front of you), scrambled eggs, fried bacon, sausages, meatballs, stewed tomatoes (very tasty), yogurts, homemade cottage cheese, a variety of muesli, melons, watermelons, juicy dried fruits, cheeses, sausages... And pastries - 4 types hot buns, especially delicious with marmalade! Those who ate on the terrace were served coffee in thermos cups.
Dinners were great! If the breakfasts were quite monotonous, then dinner was a flight of fancy: duck in peaches, chicken in wine sauce, casseroles, soups, vegetables, salads with seafood (a lot of mussels, oysters, squid, fish, but fresh pasta. . . Always 2 types of pizzas - lick your fingers!
Desserts - cakes, jellies, whipped cream, pies, profiteroles with hot chocolate ice cream, ice cream... Fruits... There were evenings of Italian cuisine - my head was spinning from various dishes...
But! If you do not have all inclusive, then you have to pay for drinks at dinner. We didn't take drinks - we ate juicy melons and watermelons.
There is a swimming pool - clean, tidy, where water aerobics and other games are held. Near the pool for kids.
There are sun loungers near the pools, and under the palm trees, and on the beach.
Separately, it must be said about the beach - along the sea there is a path for evening walks, which goes through all the hotels. We walked and walked and came to the conclusion that the beach in our hotel was the best - there was a smooth entry into the clear water along the sand, there was also a staircase from a wooden pier, from where you can immediately dive into a deep place. The rest of the hotels had either rocks with a wobbly plastic container pier, or seaweed by the beach. The sand is clean, but the strip of sand is not very large - this is good - there are few neighbors around =)) Of course, umbrellas, sun loungers...
Near the spit, on which there is a water sports center with parachutes (30 euros), jet skis (10 euros), etc. The instructors are young and pretty =))
I don’t know about discos - I’m not interested, I didn’t go. Animation is, and, fortunately, not very intrusive.
The reception is always happy to help - prompt, explain, draw a plan. They understand both Russian and English.
Next to Riu Cypria Resort is Riu Cypria Bay. You can freely go there and swim in their pools.
Behind the hotel across the road there is a shop with food and souvenirs, numerous cafes, bars - but the hotel feeds from the heart, so we didn't need them.
The bus to Paphos costs 1 euro, it takes 10 minutes, we went for a walk in the city ourselves and everything looked great without a guide, with the help of a map.
We didn't want to leave. We hope to return again.
But first things first.

We recently returned from vacation. I liked the hotel. The rooms are comfortable. The sea is salty. It holds itself. You need to look for a good entry into the sea. a dress code is required - we didn’t encounter this. In the evenings (at 11 o’clock) concerts began in a nearby hotel, but if you close the balcony you can’t hear anything.
