My husband and I rested from September 21 to October 4 at the Yasmine Beach Hotel, 4-star, but pulling on a weak C grade. Constantly after cleaning something was missing, then towels, then pillowcases. . . and they didn’t leave detergents at all, but we didn’t ask, because we took everything with us. Elevators, and there were 2 of them, worked somehow in the hotel, then both did not work, then one began to seem to work, we had to wait a long time to leave for our 5th floor. The food is not very good, it seems there is a lot of everything, but it is impossible to eat, then everything is half-baked, then undercooked, then some kind of inedible hash, constant queues for food, for dishes, flies are simply not measured. At first there were no vegetables at all, we complained, began to give tomatoes and cucumbers, but in such a meager amount, they took out on a small plate, whoever had time, snatched it. . . that's funny. . . for so many people! There were a lot of poisonings, personally for me and for our friends, it’s good that they took medicines with them, everyone suffered from stomach upsets. The beach is dirty, heaps of black algae. . . nothing was cleaned, the sea is dirty. . . some bags, plastic waste floated, it was stormy all the time, it was normal not to swim, the weather was also not very good, before lunch it was still badly possible to sunbathe, since lunch the sky was already covered with clouds. There were not enough sunbeds, we had to run until breakfast to take it. We rented a safe, after 10 days they wanted to return the key and pay for using it, since they spent all the money and there was no need for it anymore, but at the reception they refused to accept the amount for 10 days, but we need to pay for the entire period of stay, in this case within 14 days. I think this is complete nonsense, I take the safe for as long as I need it, this is my right, but it turns out that the hotel workers do not work in the interests of vacationers, but in their own. The animators worked conscientiously, every evening performances for both children and adults, well done. Drinking water was not provided, we had to buy it in stores. The streets are dirty, the smell of horse urine. , flowing straight along the sidewalk. The only bright spot in our vacation was an excursion to the Sahara, not to forget, we stayed overnight at the hotel, it really was super, and the hotel and food were like in a good restaurant. In general, in Tunisia more than anything !! !

I'll start with accommodation. We arrived around midnight - and then it began... We settled on the first floor. I walk along the corridor - the smell is indescribable - dampness mixed with something. The aroma in the room turned out to be no better - okay, I think I’ll open the balcony, ventilate it, I didn’t have to do this.

Near the balcony there is a sewer hatch. (How do you start your holiday on the Mediterranean coast, that shocked me). In addition, a cockroach 3-4 cm long was crawling around the room. I tried to ask to change the room - I received a categorical no, but a promise that they would relocate tomorrow morning. Yes, they moved me to a good room on the third floor, but the sediment remained....
The room has a TV, hair dryer (non-working), air conditioning, there were no problems with soap, shampoo, toilet paper and cleaning.
There was no rudeness or any negative attitude from the staff. All are correct enough. Be polite, smile and no one will be rude to you.
Nutrition. Oh, that's a different story. The canteen (well, you can’t call it a restaurant) is just a nightmare - it’s impossible to find a served table; forks spoons need to be looked for; there are three salt shakers for the whole hall (and it is not small) - salt it - put it in its place; plates need to be checked - clean or not (no kidding); queues for food - but varied, but all monotonously not tasty fresh (either the chef quit, or his hands withered); for a couple of days there were queues for clean plates; plastic disposable glasses (which are also used more than once, but washed and let through the second... etc. circle); for several days there was sour beer, it is difficult to drink local wine - very sour, booze... yes, for the sake of interest, you can try, tiborine - there were two bottles at the bar, we drank with the company in the evening - it was gone : ).
Sea and beach. The sand is wonderful in structure and color, walking on it is a pleasure, but there is garbage, cigarette butts lying around (what can I say - stop littering people, there are special places where you can put garbage, and I think smoking on the beach, where there are children around, I consider disgusting) . The problem with algae is that they carry them ashore and the coastal zone in large numbers, along with algae, they also carry plastic bottles and other rubbish. I didn't see it all removed. But we got a couple of days when the sea was clear - very beautiful.
Excursions. We went to the ruins of Carthage and on a two-day tour of the country - the amphitheater in El Jem, the Sahara, the village of baboons, etc. I liked it very much.
In general, the memories are twofold.

There were no problems at all with check-in, housekeeping, food, service. We had a night check-in (a good room on the 4th floor, no surcharges) and an evening check-out, everything was fine by 12 o'clock, the room was handed over, things were removed into the cell, fed, watered until the bus arrived by 17 o'clock. There was enough food and places in the restaurant, if you needed a specific table for which you had not yet had time to clean up, at the request they served quickly and efficiently. (The only thing I read about before leaving was that they say it stinks on the street. So sorry, in the same place parallel to the cars, camels walk and ride horses, there will naturally be a smell. And about the smell of dampness in the corridor on the first floor, only staff lives on it (of course, not pleasant for them), and for vacationers, you won’t feel it until you pass specially in this corridor. . In general, we went for what, we all got what I wish everyone.

I really liked the hotel, healthy food, very tasty and a large selection. If you leave it for a tip, you can get a lot of bonuses))) The staff is also normal. The rooms are large and comfortable. Shopping is normal, the benefit was in the center. I didn't like the beach! Locals constantly offer to ride camels, they are everywhere and algae, they are not cleaned almost.

The sellers on the beach got tired of pestering with their unnecessary garbage. The weather did not let us down, always the sun.

Vacationing with a friend. Well trained staff, very worried about tourists. The conclusion I made is - be polite and smile at everyone and you will get a star from the sky! The room has a safe (paid), towels (changed every day and cleaning too), a balcony-terrace, telephone, TV (1 Russian channel). I advise you to immediately change dollars for dinars at the reception (no problem) and take a check so that you can change it back later, you cannot take dinars out of Tunisia.

Every day animation show. If you want to see the whole of Tunisia - take an excursion to the Sahara - you will not regret it. And about the military turmoil - it's not true, everything is calm, only the hype in the press. Special thanks to all the staff of the hotel for creating a homely atmosphere!! !

We stayed at this hotel from 13/09 to 20/09/2010. For the amount for which we were sold vouchers in the Mensey travel agency (53.000 rubles for 1 week for 2 adults, people traveled for 2 weeks for this money) we certainly expected the best !!! ! The hotel is clean 3*. For $50 they gave me a room with a sea view.

The room is good, but they never left us shampoo or shower gel, I’m not talking about hair balm and body milk (usually it’s customary to leave this in 4 * - 5 * hotels). Cleaned in the room is not important, despite the tip of 1 dinar every day. The furniture in the hotel is old, the repair is done carelessly (although this may be normal for this country)! The country is very poor and dirty! It is clean only on the territory of the hotel, while you are on the bus it’s even scary to look out the window, there is dirt everywhere, mountains of garbage.....
The food at the hotel is more or less decent, but the chefs in the restaurant constantly wanted to stick a fork in their hand when a piece of cheese is casually thrown onto your plate, or when at breakfast a sleeping chef cooks pancakes and scrambled eggs at the same time and there are 10 people in line for him... often the food was unbearably spicy, it's good that there was pasta, they were the only ones saved. The dishes are washed poorly, the plates are constantly stained. Sweets are awesome. Almost no fruits were seen: herbaceous melons, apples, rarely grapes, and pears (in general, no exotic). The waiters are friendly!
About the sea is a separate conversation !! ! On the first day of arrival, there were not so many algae, but there was a terrible smell of hydrogen sulfide, we courageously endured it and still took a swim. The second day the smell did not stop and there were more algae... On the third and fourth days it was very stormy, and then it was impossible to enter the sea - vile black algae took their toll... The smell remained... I don’t want to offend the sea, I think it nothing to do with it, but the attendants could make a fuss, with us the beach was never cleaned. The weather was good, the sea water was warm. Well, look at the photo for the rest. I can say one thing: after a trip to Tunisia, Egypt seemed to me a good European resort =) I hope I will not return to this country, and even more so to this hotel =) I think that there will be problems with the service in this country for a long time !!! !

reading the rave reviews of tourists who rested in this hotel, like us, in September - I'm surprised. Despite all our optimism at the beginning of the trip, by the end of the holiday we really wanted to finally go home.
We rested from the 2nd to the 12th of September. We went in two pairs.
The impression of the hotel was spoiled on the first day. The weather on the day of arrival was overcast, it was raining. The hotel did not have AC at the reception, so when we entered the hotel, we found ourselves in a humid, stuffy room. Just corresponding to the "cave" design. On the third day, the conders were turned on and it became quite pleasant. The air conditioning worked in the rooms.
We were placed on the 5th floor. They didn't pay extra for the rooms. We were lucky and the rooms looked at the pool on the 2nd floor, it's a quiet side. Those who got rooms on the pool on the street were unhappy. In the evenings there is animation and it is difficult to fall asleep. Although, in fairness, it must be said that the animation was there until a maximum of 23.30.
I even wanted to dance sometimes, but there were no normal discos.
The rooms are large and generally pretty. But it is clear that it was a "five", and now a four with a minus. Because the furniture is shabby. The control panel of the conder is half-broken. Curtains with holes. TV remote control with torn buttons. Damp-yellowed curtain in the bathroom. Soap as put in the bathroom once, and not replenished until you ask. Cleaning - 3. Despite the tip. in the end, we just stopped leaving them. Maybe we got a negligent maid? I think she was still smart. Smiled in the whole mouth - friendly, I will not say anything. But then all the same, rubbish was felt on her legs from poor mopping, she also did not scrub the toilet. I am already silent about shampoos and other things - there is nothing like that there.
In general, the entire hotel gives the impression of a shabby. The furniture in the bars is pretty shabby.
The food is quite. Very much.
I put 4, because with all the variety of types of meat, the cooks managed to chop chicken or lamb so much that it was very difficult to find a full-fledged piece without bones. There are no complaints about sweets, pasta. I didn’t eat salads, because I disdain mayonnaise and sour cream dressings - they just ate vegetables under olive oil. The kitchen is sharp. For an amateur.
Reception staff - no complaints. The restaurant seems to be the same.
But at the pool bar, the waiters pour the beer like they're doing you a favor. when serving glasses of beer, they can put their finger in the glass. a young boy poured water on our girl. I thought it was probably funny. Unclear. somehow the rest of the waiters dissuaded us from complaining to the senior administrator.
Animators are ok. Cheerful, they speak a little Russian. But with the beach boys, we had a story that ended with an official complaint from us to the director of the hotel.
Well, hardly anyone would like to hear "fuck u rush". From the reviews of other vacationers, Zaid harassed and was rude to young Russian women.
Well, the beach. A separate song for algae. The hotel is certainly not to blame - it's nature. We laughed and said that this thalasso therapy is free. After swimming, lumps of black algae were shaken out of the swimsuit)
the claim is that the algae were NOT REMOVED from the surf line. The excavator, which was driven to the beach, simply covered the black mass of algae with clean sand, and did not at all shovel this dirt somewhere. And no one cared that in a day all this would wash away the surf again and it would still be the same mess. When we watched how the staff "worked" with these algae, the desire was to kick them out and arrange a subbotnik. Toli do not know how to organize the work, or simply do not want to.
Therefore, I put 2 for the service.
Speaking of shopping. You can not go to any medina.
There are two "L'artisan" supermarkets in the street behind the hotel - they have fixed prices - lower than you can bargain somewhere in the shops. Save your nerves and buy great souvenirs. To be honest, the obsession of merchants in street shops can infuriate in earnest. If you don't know how to bargain, just walk around and look at the purchase, but you are not going to buy yet - don't even pick up the goods, and even more so don't ask the price! ! ! It will be very difficult to get rid of it later. It was one of the downsides of a holiday in this country. Realizing that you will not buy anything, the seller may well get nasty.
Once again, I strongly recommend supermaketov.
In general, we decided for ourselves that we don’t have to go to Tunisia anymore - it’s better to have Turkey, or Egypt (there, at least the sea itself is superb)
