Holidays in the Pearl - it's just awful! Do not believe what they tell you in travel agencies, praising the Pearl. Our holiday turned into a nightmare! It's just a hole! I did not think that in Alushta there could be such miserable boarding houses. The private sector is even better. The rooms are in a terrible state, in my opinion they have not been cleaned for a hundred years. Is it that the floor was swept and it is considered that this is cleaning. It is impossible to look at the ceiling - all terribly dirty, with traces of crushed insects and blood. I almost felt sick. I'm already silent about the ancient furniture, I'm afraid to sit on the bed - it might fall apart.
The dining room is a separate issue. There is practically NOTHING!! ! Everything is not fresh and cold. Once they brought a cutlet - like an oak stone, which you couldn’t even bite. Fresh vegetables and fruits were not even on display! Instead, in the middle of the summer they brought canned marrow caviar. They write that a customized menu - a choice of 2-3 dishes. But no one offered us to order a menu - they brought what was left more. The portions are very small. The wait staff is rude and behaved in a boorish way. There were a lot of people living in the hotel and there were not enough tables in the dining room for everyone. So the staff of the dining room just brazenly vanished from their seats.
Far from the beach. 40 minutes iti - no less. But the so-called delivery is provided. These are gazelles (2 pieces) with 10 seats each. They run 3 times in the morning, 3 times at lunchtime and 3 times in the evening in one direction and in the opposite direction clearly according to the schedule. And this is for 130 people living !! ! Standing places are prohibited. I think it is not necessary to explain that it is not realistic to get into it.
In general, a boarding house of typical soviet times and soviet style.
Therefore, I do not recommend this hostel to anyone. It is absolutely not worth the money!
It's just a rip-off and ruined holiday!

The dishes are terribly dirty, as if they had never been washed. Spoons and forks are licked. The beach is dirty, outsiders are allowed. The boarding house does not have its own territory.

To the sea 20 minutes almost running or if you know a short way, hot water in the rooms is 35 degrees, if there is, in the dining room very often there is no bread and napkins, as well as inedible fruits, and no one apologizes for their absence. In 2-bed rooms there are 2 huge wardrobes with 2 hangers and not a single shelf where you can lay out things.

Despite the fact that only vacationers of the boarding house should be there, everyone is allowed in for a fee. For vacationers of the boarding house, the fee for a sunbed is 2 gr. But in general, the rest turned out to be 3+. Do not believe the beautiful reviews - they are made by the workers themselves.

Number. Rarely removed. just take out the trash. There are no air conditioners. Fans are not working. Who has not broken, consider yourself lucky. All renovations to the hotel are done by the staff themselves. They are drivers and builders and jack-of-all-trades. Students do the cleaning. Soap was given on arrival one small piece, when it ended no longer allowed. towels for the sea are sewn small. One kettle for the whole boarding house. Which the administrator boils and issues strictly for 5 minutes. After eating in the lobby, it's his turn.
Dining room. The dishes are dirty. Especially cups with traces of bright lipstick. Constantly spoke to the administrator. She only repeated "Students are working. " Crockery with broken handles, the teapot has a broken "Spout". The portions are very small and inedible.
Some rustic pancakes are worth something, instead of minced meat some kind of gray porridge, about borscht with mushrooms, they served borscht with prunes, which was left from compote. Horror is impossible. Cold sausages, all twisted, served in shells instead of meatballs, their machine broke down. Sugar was 2 teaspoons per person. All food is cold and tasteless.
Beach. Routes about which they write so. Nonsense. They go only 3 times before lunch, 3 after. 12 people will intervene in it. There were fights to get in.
Beach. Horror. Public is even better. 40 years knocked together from the boards loungers. There are no sun loungers. Who is smarter in the morning, at 6-7 o'clock takes a towel, and all walk. And visitors fart on the beach for money, who use all the benefits. The sea is very dirty, the water is muddy. There is a river nearby, where all the sewage is drained from the hotel.
Treatment. We booked in for baths, massages and beauty treatments. But after the dirty dishes in the dining room. decided not to risk it. and cosmetic we ourselves did. bought Saki mud for 22 hryvnia and enjoyed it. and in a boarding house one procedure from the same mud costs 30 hryvnias.
But the most amazing thing is people eat it all, bow, say thank you. How can you not love yourself? Or they have never been anywhere and do not know how the modern world lives and what the service should be like.

The staff is polite, accommodating. The procedures pleased me, I advise you not to buy a lot of coupons right away, you never know if there will be excursions or you will feel bad. I advise you to do manual massage with Larisa, hydrolaser vacuum massage, pearl baths - a great thing and inexpensive. The sea is far away, and minibuses run on schedule - 9.

I advise you to do manual massage with Larisa, hydrolaser vacuum massage, pearl baths - a great thing and inexpensive. The sea is far away, and minibuses run on schedule - 9.00, 9.15, 9.45. . . back first at 12.45 (too late). It's hard with a small child - we carried it in our arms. There is nothing for children - no playroom, no playground, no videos with cartoons. But near the Cheburashka cafe in the park on the way to the beach there is an excellent children's room in the air with educators, inexpensive attractions. The beach closes at 18h, so we swam only in the morning, it is fenced with a rope, but the depth is close, so there is pandemonium in the sea near the shore. There are sun loungers under a canopy, but they are usually occupied earlier. On the beach - large pebbles, in the sea - small pebbles with sand. It is better to change money in Alushta itself, in Simferopol near the station the rate is lower. We advise you to go for a tasting at the Massandra winery (on foot from the boarding house 1 stop), buy branded wines. The local water park is located in Professor's Corner, bus 37 to the ring. It is better to buy books there on the embankment - cheaper than in a department store in the center. In the center, I advise you to visit the Ganges store, where you can choose a summer dress, sundress, Indian-style Aladdins made of cotton. An interesting horse ride on Demerdzhi and in the Funa fortress (Golden Horseshoe ranch), fishing from a boat (at 6 pm a good bite, fishing rods are given out, fish is cooked right away, you can swim in the open sea). Souvenirs can be bought on the waterfront. Together with the Zoo near Yalta, visit the Glade of Fairy Tales, but if money allows, book a better taxi ride, an organized tour of only 1.5 hours - everything is running. Transfer from and to the railway station of Simferopol 250 hryvnia, do not give more

We rested with great pleasure in the Pearl, we liked the park, the procedures, and the sea. The condition of the rooms is decent, they clean and re-lay on time. The dining room was treated politely and helpfully, the food is dietary, but tasty. Of the procedures, I remember Charcot's shower, I liked it.

Slightly annoying descent-ascent to the beach, but nothing by the middle of the holidays got used to and went back and forth without much stress.

We rested in July 2009. I can say right away - whoever came to relax and have a good time will do it. To my great surprise, there were enough vacationers ready to ruin their holiday due to an incomplete kettle, a dripping faucet or a creaking door. One gets the feeling that they came solely in order to find all the worst, suffer all the rest because of this, and when they return home they are inspired to complain to everyone and everyone how they were mocked at in this terrible Crimea! Gentlemen, do not get hung up on trifles and spoil the mood of yourself and others with your whining! Perhaps such neighbors were the only negative point.

Gentlemen, do not get hung up on trifles and spoil the mood of yourself and others with your whining! Perhaps such neighbors were the only negative point. The boarding house is very cozy, small, but very well-groomed area, exceptionally polite and friendly staff. I would especially like to note the work of the nurse Olga Vasilievna - a very competent specialist. The food is good, plentiful and balanced. Fed "for slaughter". Who is waiting for restaurant delights, barbecue and so on. , do not wait! All sorts of such hazards are in abundance in nearby cafes. . It is not very close to the sea, but with a similar diet, it is useful to take a walk. On the way there are shops, markets with fruits and souvenirs, a large beautiful park. The beach is small but clean. There are really a lot of people, but this is the case on all the beaches of Alushta; There are sunbeds and awnings. The sea is warm and clean, very gentle. Excursions were purchased directly at the boarding house, the assortment is the same as in the city, the prices are also similar. We visited palaces (took 2 excursions: Masandra and Livadia, and separately Vorontsovsky; 3in1 I don’t recommend, there will be porridge in my head), Koktebel, Arpat waterfalls, Ghost Valley, Dzhur-Dzhur waterfall, Emine-Bair-Khosar and Marble caves. I liked everything very much! The only thing was no luck with the guide to Demerdzhi. The girl worked without a soul, we learned many facts about the places we visited from other guides, and then completely forgot us in the mountains (she took the group away without waiting for us to get off the cliff; we found the group ourselves in half an hour, but the sediment remained). They themselves swam to Yalta on a regular boat (I highly recommend it - it goes once a day at 9.05, for 10 hryvnia they are allowed on the upper deck - from there it’s good to admire the coast, Ayu-Dag and Adalary), visited the zoo. In the zoo, animals can be fed, while they do not give the impression of starved and living from tourist to tourist. Very well fed and happy animals. There are still many interesting things left uncovered, so let's go again! Rest were satisfied. P. S. Drivers in the Crimea (as well as in Sochi) are absolute Schumachers, they don’t have traffic rules, in my opinion, we didn’t understand why the markings were drawn. Prepare for this in advance.

The general impression is good. 1. Location: "Cons" - far from the sea. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk, although this inconvenience is partially compensated by the shuttle buses of the boarding house, which will take you to the beach in the morning and at lunchtime, and take you back at lunchtime and in the evening.

The general impression is good.
1. Location:
"Cons" - far from the sea. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk, although this inconvenience is partially compensated by the shuttle buses of the boarding house, which will take you to the beach in the morning and at lunchtime, and take you back at lunchtime and in the evening.
"Pros" - a lot of greenery. Far from the hustle and bustle of the people. Quite a quiet place (although this does not mean at all that you will not be woken up at night by some rocker, or by the screaming alarm of one of the cars of the boarding house clients who spend the night under the windows)
2. Staff:
"Cons" - none.
The staff is neat, friendly, polite, in rudeness was not noticed.
3. Nutrition: The child liked it, we didn’t really.
Cons: Small portions. Fresh salads. Chefs should be taught that cheesecakes and lazy dumplings, in addition to flour, should also contain cottage cheese, and eggs in scrambled eggs. Pancakes and hash browns are just awful. Sausages are completely meatless. And it would be nice to review the menu of the day "Moldovan cuisine" - the hungriest day on vacation. Those who eat on the second shift can get hot dishes semi-cold.
"Pros" - In the dining room order. Dishes are clean. You order the menu for the next day, each dish in three versions. The food is mostly delicious. There were no food poisonings.
4. Rooms: Lived in a standard room.
"Cons" - It would be nice to do a general cleaning of the room between shift arrivals. In the bathroom (which would be nice to renovate) a wet, holey rag replaces the rug. And if you don’t throw it out on the balcony in the evening, by morning it starts to smell bad. The curtain in the bathroom was covered with moss at the bottom - disgusting to touch!
Pros - The room is spacious. The decoration is old fashioned but the furniture is in good condition. The fan (which really had to be dismantled in order to clean the grate and impeller from a layer of dust) is present and is included in the price of the room. The room was sunny, but the sun does not enter the room due to the large awnings on the balcony. Therefore, the number does not bake.
There are no cockroaches! Linen is changed frequently.
Conclusion: A good option for a relaxing holiday, for a tourist who is not spoiled by overseas holidays. It’s easy to find entertainment closer to the embankment, and the kids will surely be pleased with the squirrels frolicking here and there, which sometimes even take nuts from their hands.
We liked Alushta herself. It's just a pity that the utilities don't lick her well. IMHO this is the scourge of all Crimean cities. Therefore, I’m ready to argue to the point of hoarseness with my grandmother, a local resident, from whom I heard the phrase that she dropped while passing by a cluttered bench, that they say “it’s not in vain that they say“ Rusish Schwein ”! And it’s not the Russians or other Slavs who are to blame here, of whom there are also in abundance, but first of all the city administration and public utilities! Not every vacationer will have the patience to wind kilometers with an ice cream wrapper in search of an urn. In Russian cities, trash cans are more common, and they are removed on time. Therefore the situation is different.
Maybe I wouldn’t have given the Zhemchuzhina such a high rating, but our further path lay in the Miskhor sanatorium, where a superior room was already waiting for us. “Well, finally, we will plunge into complete comfort! ” - we were looking forward to the upcoming vacation.... But that's another story.
