1) located on an abandoned construction site (I’m sorry, there’s a landfill and slop around - which attracted all our vacations, packs of stray wild dogs, by the way, they were friendlier than all the staff in general, but it’s dangerous with children !!!! )
2) Stuck in the elevator three times during the rest (power outages)
3) The air conditioners turn off as soon as you leave the room (the heat was +45, we only came to this dump to spend the night, and only in the morning the room cooled down more or less)
4) about food . . If you did not have time to come to the beginning of breakfast or dinner (there is simply no lunch or afternoon snack), you will eat empty rice or potatoes (by the way, the assortment did NOT change throughout our vacation) I'm not kidding! ! They cook meat only for fast first vacationers, so to speak, for show, they say, here it was !!!
And the most interesting - probably everyone from young to old got cockroaches there !! ! And the staff just shrugged their shoulders with stone faces saying if you don't want to don't eat!!!!
5) the eternal problem with towels! Both beach and ordinary, we went together with a young man - for the two of us they gave one large and one small milking of hands (they went to complain, but it was useless referring to the fact that they are washed to be ironed, BUT for an additional fee, we can make an EXCEPTION and look for in stock) you represent!!
6) now to the most terrible - we were robbed, and not just us !!!! ! When we checked in, we found a terrible scandal about the loss of money and passports from the safe at the reception!! ! This terrified us and we decided to hide the money under the mattresses of the beds (yes, not the most ingenious stash, but the things in the suitcases after cleaning the rooms were clearly rummaged (well, in a very impudent way !!!! ) complained repeatedly about the suitcases at the reception (there is a skinny young Arab who just scoffs and pretends that he does not understand Russian! When asked to call a Russian-speaking guest relay (a person who must be in every hotel where Russian tourists are accommodated) brazenly lied that there were no such people here.
After the LOSS OF MONEY (and we did it on the last two days of our vacation, when we left for diving (the system has been worked out, because tourists are called on excursions from the recep!! ), we finally got angry (after all, we stole everything to the penny, including Russian money for the transfer !! ! ) went down to the reception to ask for the number of the local or tourist police (we didn’t care) so for 4 hours we stood like fools arguing, swearing, I filmed it all on camera (there is a very detailed video shooting for anyone interested, write to email I will send) in the end at night we were asked to leave the reception with the words that there would be no police! They simply didn’t call her! They didn’t give the numbers either (I repeat all the conversations of this lawlessness in Russian are on video recording)
In general, this is just chaos and a nightmare !! ! By the way, no guides will help you (we flew the Tez tour) but what's the point! ! The guide just shrugged, well, the only help was given by the phone to the police tour, but she didn’t help at all - they were in collusion along the way !! ! Didn't even get it right! !
1. Pluses - the hotel workers were not rude, did not steal (although we always carried money with us), tried to please, many are very friendly; the rooms are generally normal, the furniture and conditions are quite tolerable, there was always water, there is one Russian channel on TV - First. The food is normal, but, of course, it cannot be compared with ours, whoever is not picky will be satisfied. Pastries are good, chicken and meat, potatoes and rice are also normal. There are enough vegetables, but the fruits are very sorry. Nothing but watermelon and unsweetened melon. Animation - only on Thursday. Actually, we were not going to sit in the hotel, but on excursions. By the way, they were bought on the street.
2. Cons - poor knowledge of Russian at the hotel (if you do not know English at least at a primitive level, it will be difficult).
We lived in a 2-storey, additional building, where we were settled, and we, foolishly, agreed.
It is very dirty in the corridor, the birds are shitting, the petals are falling off the trees, and there was only one cleaning in a week. Not fatal, just annoying. Just ask for the main building, it's much cleaner there.
Room cleaning is a relative term. Towels are changed every day, beds are made, but everything is somehow dusty, the floors are unclean. I just want to walk in shoes. However, this is also a small problem.
Much worse - smells. Every day, a shit truck drove by the hotel and pumped out Mr. (in the city, apparently, there is no centralized sewage system). She stopped right behind the fence near our pool, so that vacationers had to constantly endure the Egyptian "flavors". Everyone grimaced, but there was nowhere to go.
The beach is close, but we got tired of swimming there after the first time, despite the desire to see the fish. To go, to be at least on the shoulders, one must go far. The whole bottom is in sharp large stones.
We didn’t buy swimming slippers - maybe they would protect against cuts, but the stones are still such that walking on them, you constantly risk falling. Such a bad bottom, as we learned, is far from all hotels. For example, a vacationer from Beirut (the hotel is quite far from the center) said that the bottom is good there. The water is very salty - it hurts the eyes. But this is so, by the way. In general, we swam in the pool - sniffing the vapor of a shit cart is still better than hurting your legs in the sea. And the fish and corals looked at the excursions "submarine".
Around the hotel - construction and dirt. But in Hurghada it is dirty everywhere, so the hotel is not to blame. There are simply hotels that have a decent location, although they are located not far from our Sea Garden, also in the center - for example, Regina or Minamark.
Yes, there were more cons than pros. We do not consider ourselves picky, and, in principle, we did not expect better from 3 stars. In addition, our price was relatively normal - $ 818 for 7 days for two (departure from Kyiv).
However, if we ever go to Hurghada, we will choose something else. And for those who just go to see Egypt on excursions, Sea Garden may be suitable. . .
The food was good, I would even say too much. The only negative in the rest was only constantly too much attention from local men. It is impossible to walk down the street and 3 meters, so as not to hear any compliment or offer addressed to you. You cannot rest alone in Egypt. And everything was so wonderful.
Now for the pros and cons in detail:
(+) Quite normal non-loading staff (not an unimportant factor for Egypt), you can carry water, fruits, etc. without problems, the room was normally cleaned every day, with a check for $ 10
offered a choice of 3 different rooms. (I advise you to choose the main building overlooking the pool, we liked it there) The territory is not large but cozy and calm, probably because there are practically none of ours. It is located a 2-minute walk from the center. It is better to buy excursions in the city, it is much cheaper, but carefully choose a company. It is better to make purchases during the day, while the indigenous people boiled quickly agree with the normal price.
(-) It’s 50 meters to the beach, not bad, there are always places, but it’s problematic to enter the water without special shoes. There are no animations except for volleyball and on Thursday evening national dances. So you will entertain yourself.
