From Antalya it takes about 2 hours. Opposite the hotel there is an intercity bus station, if someone plans to travel to other cities on their own. There is also a public transport stop behind the bus station. For example, bus 2B goes to the Alanium shopping center and others. The fare costs 30 liras. The cable car to the fortress is a 20-minute walk from the hotel. A round-trip ticket costs 345 liras.
The hotel room is spacious, designed for a family of 3 people, each with a balcony. Women do the cleaning. Not perfect, but overall ok. Every day they removed the trash, brought drinking water and, if necessary, added shower gel, soap, and shampoo. The room has a small refrigerator, TV, air conditioning. When we asked to change the towels, they changed them right away without any problems.
The cuisine is varied.
During the week there was chicken, fish, lamb meatballs (!!! ). Garnish with pasta, mashed potatoes, French fries, various vegetables, salads. Soup is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sweets are basically the same: in the morning it’s halva, waffles and Turkish delight, at lunch and dinner there are cakes with cream such as soufflé with sponge cake. Plus, from 15:00 to 16:00 you can assemble your own hamburger, and from 16:00 to 17:00 you can snack on cookies (3 types) with coffee/tea. The bar has light beer, red/white wine, various sodas, and cocktails. I think everyone can find something suitable for themselves. The employees and managers themselves eat in the same restaurant, so the cooks approach their work responsibly.
All the staff are friendly and polite, especially if you say hello or thank you in Turkish. The restaurant is mostly young people. They quickly clear the dishes and wipe the tables. Quite clean and tidy.
One evening there was a brief power outage in the area.
Within half an hour the generator was turned on in the hotel and everything was working as normal.
Entry into the sea in the area of the hotel is excellent. The stone slab there is flat and smoothly goes into the sand.
Of course, the hotel also has its shortcomings. Of the minuses, I would note the unpleasant smell coming from the shower siphon. As my husband (a plumber) said, this is because they installed a regular siphon without a water seal. We solved this issue by simply closing the bathroom door tightly.
We also lacked hooks for towels in the bathroom. There are only 2 of them on the door. We had to take a chair from the balcony to hang towels on. Perhaps it was only in our room.
Also for us, as non-smokers, it was unpleasant to breathe in tobacco smoke because of the tourists who were smoking on their balconies on the floor below. At night I had to get up and close the door to the balcony. There is also no division into smoking and non-smoking areas on the restaurant terrace.
It seems like there is an opportunity to eat in the fresh air, but those sitting next to you start smoking, and in the end you are forced to breathe smoke or go indoors.
Generally speaking, compared to other hotels, it is ideal value for money.
In the evening there is where to take a walk and buy something for yourself. On the first day we found a pharmacy and bought medicines, here they are cheaper than in Kyiv. We went to the hammam, it is almost everywhere for 20 dollars, but if you look at tour agencies, you can find for two for 35. We took a jeep safari for 40, the guys try so hard to make all tourists have fun, lunch is included and they feed fish / meat (chicken barbecue) to choose from! The whole trip is filmed on drones, then the discs are sold at will for 25. Emotions went wild!
The room is cleaned every day, towels are changed every other day, hot water appeared on the second day of our arrival, they said that they had some kind of accident. We do not need a TV, the fact that it does not show us does not bother us. The staff is polite, the main thing is not to be rude, not to scandal, but to solve all issues with a smile, which we always do.
Food, there is not much variety, but there is always fish and chicken, not many dishes, but tasty. Something is spicy or peppery, but you will not stay hungry. There are a lot of people, the tables are occupied in advance, before the start of the meal, it reminded me of towels on the sun loungers by the pool))) Small queues near the main dishes, but you don’t have to panic, enough for everyone, the guys change the trays at once and you will have enough of all the dishes, even if you come at the end of lunch or dinner.
The hotel director is on site all day, controls the process)
So, in principle, if you did not come to the hotel, but to the sea, walks and excursions, then you are here.
We did not sit in the hotel, we ate, took a shower and walked...
If we consider the hotel as a budget option, then it is quite normal.
There is no curtain in the room itself to cover the balcony. The curtain on the window is short - you can either cover it halfway on the right or on the left. I had to tape it to the wall. During the rain, this window flooded so that the water soaked the plastered window sill and flowed down to the floor in streams. During the week of our stay, the maids visited us once - they removed the garbage and smeared someone's long black hair on the floor. Floor - tiles. We advise you to take slippers with thick soles - it is cold and slippery. Instead of beds, 2 mattresses are stacked one on top of the other. The bedspread is similar in structure to a waffle towel. Speaking of towels - they gave us 2 large ones and that's it. The TV broadcasts one Russian channel - NTV. The rooms always hear the noise of transport, neighbors, maids on the floors, TV and air conditioners outside the walls.
Bathroom: we noticed almost immediately that it was impossible to close the doors in the shower stall, because there were none at all. They ran from one building to another from the fourth floor to 55 steep steps and back (there is no elevator), the administrator called a specialist who brought the two missing doors and somehow nailed them (they then diverged in different directions and did not close). Of the toiletries, only 2 small soaps and a roll of toilet paper. There was a hair dryer - to use it, you need fairly strong fingers, you have to press with all your might; a bare wire was sticking out of the hair dryer in places and the back cover was lagging behind. The door handle kept falling off no matter how hard we tried to screw it on. The shower drain is clogged with the same black hair and sand. The floor is tiled throughout the bathroom, instantly splashed with water and becomes terribly slippery.
Once killed a cockroach.
All-inclusive food: the same thing every day - boiled eggs and scrambled eggs for breakfast, sugary sweet jams, unbearably salty cheeses, olives. For lunch, pasta, fish with small bones, chicken, eggplant, meat stew with vegetables, corn, beans. For dinner, the same thing as for lunch, only cakes were added (peculiar, for an amateur, in consistency, like semolina and other cereals). The only fruit is watermelon. Drinks - powdered juices, different concentrations and colors, depending on the time of day and their analysis by visitors. Invariably caused heartburn. Tea already brewed from the machine, weak, without aroma and taste. In the evenings, an elderly Turkish woman sat by the pool and cooked cakes with some kind of greens, she gave them out only for money - there was a special bowl for money nearby. The wine kept running out. The range of alcohol is very modest.
Animation Entertainment: the animator boor - called everyone collective farmers, and once spilled that the parents did not applaud their children loudly enough during the children's disco and shouted that the mothers were sitting drunks and the collective farm. Once there was a so-called fire show - there is also a photo. One half-naked man with a loincloth swallowed some liquid from a bottle and immediately exhaled - a flame ignited. And so for half an hour.
Wifi is very weak - even at the reception is unstable. The room was never able to connect it.
Beach: drive two blocks to Ataturk Avenue, then cross the zebra road and walk to Beach 15. Drinks and food are not allowed to be brought in, it is suggested to buy at the beach bar. For sun loungers and an umbrella you need to pay at the reception. Bring your own beach towel as they don't provide one here. The beach with small pebbles (as drainage for indoor plants) is littered with cigarette butts, and the beach staff also smoke. Entry into the sea is almost impossible - first, along the shore, a wide slippery slab, then stones with sharp edges. The water is dirty. One evening we decided to take a walk along the embankment, hoping to breathe in the healing sea air, but instead of the smell of iodine-bromine and seaweed, all the way we smelled only a disgusting smell of sewage and rot, as if we were at a sewage treatment plant.
Please note that there are no refrigerators in the rooms. However, it is forbidden to bring food and drinks into the rooms, but the cores and not only need water, but water can be drawn from the cooler. Water coolers are a different story - hoses are installed at the back, through which condensate with dirt and dust flows into the bucket. When the bucket is full, the liquid is drained back into the cooler. Glasses are washed badly - as proof of the photo. Often glasses with broken edges - be careful not to injure yourself.
In the evening before departure, we asked to prepare a lunch box for us on the road. It was funny, but predictable, that it consisted of one roll, in which there were 2 thin and tiny circles of chemical sausage, the roll was wrapped in cling film.
but there was no way out and we agreed, and then the most interesting thing began, it turns out there are no places in these hotels today, maybe tomorrow, we said that we would not go into the room and would be sitting in the lobby and there were no options, we called the manager of our hotel, who I asked to go and see the room in another block, across the road (only 6 blocks). The room was better spacious, everything worked, more or less clean, stayed until the morning. In the morning, of course, nothing has changed. No other hotel found. It's high season, there are no vacancies. There is practically no meat food, vegetables, eggs, offal, a couple of times chicken, soy sausage, no fruit, watermelons. There are no soups either, there was some with mint. tables dirty with holes in the tablecloths. Complete unsanitary conditions. You certainly won't leave hungry. But there is no desire. The child had diarrhea on the 4th day. The sea is super, the beach is very beautiful Cleopatra, the sand and the sea are a fairy tale, the entrance is sand with pebbles then plates. Sunbeds paid 6 dollars 2pcs + umbrella. The embankment is very beautiful, there is where to walk. At least it saved. Very clean and beautiful. Lots of shops nearby. Tours. There is no animation, music plays in the evening. One slide is included from 3 to 5 pm. Alcohol is all diluted, they didn’t drink it, they didn’t take risks, they tried wine, sour. Wi-fi only at the reception, there is no step to the side anymore. Conclusion: I understand that this is 3 *, not 5 and not 4, in Turkey it is not the first time there is something to compare with, this is a barn, no more and no less. People are bred there, first they are taken to the barn, if you keep silent, you will live in the stable, no, they will give you a better one in another block, so think before you go to this hotel.
The beach is nearby across the road, a little to the left next to the 16th beach, we found a carved entrance to the sea for easy entry, the sea and the promenade and shopping are gorgeous !!!
Food: very very tasty and generous!! ! It is more convenient to come in the second half of the time - there are no queues, food is constantly updated, whole trays are always ready! There are always several types of meat dishes: chicken fillet stew with vegetables, fried thighs with potatoes, grilled planed turkey, chicken, beef stew with vegetables and stewed liver and all this during one meal. Believe me, this is a rarity even for high-class hotels. The sweet table is just awesome, I didn’t even try everything, I came to the sweet table after a walk because everything didn’t fit right away. Between the main meals in one building, an evil grandmother who swallowed a tip fried pies, in the second building, french fries, hamburgers and pasta - happiness for children, because they refused to eat puree and gravy for lunch.
Pepsi Fanta Sprite are wonderful, I liked chocolate from the machine, coffee - not so much. I didn’t drink drinks from the bourda, I didn’t try alcohol, probably the cocktails were good, they looked beautiful, but the bartender from the non-main building was constantly warming up with drunken aunts, and he was in no hurry to serve sober ones for a sprite. The eldest son was constantly offered prostitutes (oh, I can’t laugh, my husband said that they didn’t offer him) hookah and evening parties for children and then adults every day, sold out (but at that time I was shopping, I don’t know if it’s interesting or not)
The pool is ok, clean, not very chlorine. .
Disadvantages: attention on the threshold! (need to step over), there are slippery slabs in the yard (children fell). They told about those who were breathing from Russia that the guide on the bus from the airport told them that there were no places in the hotel, and brought them to the slums, but they took their suitcases and went to our hotel and calmly settled with vouchers. (maybe some kind of scam)
At 20.00 lunch boxes were ordered, at 3.00 they were taken from the reception. I was very pleased with the lunch box, large long rolls with delicious sausage and vegetables are wrapped in a film.
I visit Cleopatra Beach for the second time this summer, I was very impressed with the beauty and sights. I recommend the hotel, if you are a positive person, then you will be satisfied with the rest
