I rested with my wife from 06/21/2013 to 07/05/2013 in the city of Playa de los Americas (Tenerife) at the Bonanza 3 * APT hotel. Themselves from the Russian Federation, Tula.

I will be happy to answer any questions regarding Tenerife - vsegdanepozdno@mail. ru.

Introduction.

The principle of rest in the Canary Islands is strikingly different from rest in Turkey or Egypt. If in Turkey / Egypt you will be licked by body parts, and for an additional fee, any body parts will be entertained and gratified in every possible way, then in the Canary Islands you will be left to your own devices. So it would be very wise to plan a holiday program in advance, and not on the spot. For example, out of 15 days, each of them was scheduled from and to. For the title of the review, see Conclusion.

Previously, I received a lot of information from the Internet about the organization of holidays in Tenerife and about the island as a whole. Doubt whether to rent a car. The reason for doubts is ignorance of the area, the fear of getting lost, the inoperability of navigators in those places. The answer is definitely worth taking! There is nowhere to fornicate there, this is an island 90 km long and 60 km wide. Tip number 1 - it is mandatory to rent a car on the island. They write that there is a terrible serpentine. Chatter! The roads there are as smooth as a mirror, you can go anywhere even with a tourist bus. We had a half-dead new (~21000 km mileage) Seat Ibiza station wagon. Tip number 2 - if there is a financial opportunity, take a more powerful machine. On the autopiste (local track), our Seat almost died, we had to constantly stomp the gas pedal. I could barely pull along the serpentine in 3rd gear with the air conditioner on. They took it to ORCAR - you book in advance on the website, you receive a confirmation by e-mail, that's the whole process. There you give a confirmation, a passport and a driver's license of the Russian Federation, on the spot they issued a car in exactly 10 minutes (key + insurance). Orc prices are ridiculous! For 15 days of rent, they gave 153 euros + gasoline at our expense, essno. Drinks there are only these: 95.98 and DT. A liter of the 95th costs about 50 rubles (moreover, gasoline prices are the lowest in Europe). The 95th drink took a little less than we paid for the car. For 2 weeks dashed off about 1500 km. It took me 1-2 days to get used to the local traffic, to feel at home behind the wheel - 1 week.

Hell's Gorge (Barranco del Inferno).

A beautiful gorge, the difficulty level is low, at the end of the gorge there is a 500m high waterfall. There and back 7 km on foot, it took us 2 hours 40 minutes. with photo stops. Physically weak people can go, a high-quality path has been laid along the gorge. There is only one problem - the heat, take water and hats. Shoes must also be appropriate. The gorge is officially closed, but everyone climbs through a hole in the fence. I recommend to visit.

You rise to the very top in Adeje, where the gorge begins. Landmark - Bar "Otelo", right behind it is the entrance to the gorge. You can park your car next to the bar. We found it right away.

Jungle park (eagle park).

It is a zoo, the entrance is 24 euros per adult. There are three shows - large birds, fur seals and parrots. The show is bullshit! They release the bird into the spectator rows and she (the bird) runs around there. The zoo itself is mediocre. There is an attraction - a chute (4 euros). Kind of like a big hill. They lift you up the mountain, and from there you roll down on a trough with wheels. Kids should love it, adults won't. There is an obstacle course, again, children will like it, adults will not. If you are without children, then I do not recommend visiting.

The location on a pre-printed map was found immediately.

Personal guide.

Personal guide - Inga from Latvia (inga. andrianova@yandex. ru) gave us 4 full days (from 8:30 to 18:00). 1 her day on our car - 60 euros. Guimar windows - 55 euros / person. We traveled all over the island together several times. Emphasis on hiking on mountain trails. Route number 1 - La Orotava valley (north of the island). A house with balconies, a mausoleum and a walk through a pine forest. From there south through the center of the island on TF21. Stone Flower, Colored Sands, Teide, God's Finger, Shoe, Giant Pine. Route number 2 - Anaga mountain range. The very north of the island. Walk through the thousand-year-old heather forest, gorgeous views, feeding lizards, swimming on the beach of Taganana village. Next is the largest beach of the island Las Teresitas and on the way back to Candelaria Black Madonna and statues of the Guanches. Route number 3 - Guimar windows (east of the island). Route 14km through caves in helmets and with flashlights along the water supply in the mountains, gorgeous views. Bathing in the port of Guimar. Route No. 4 - panoramic mask (west of the island). We didn’t go down to the Mask Gorge itself, but went on horseback, the views are amazing. Layer cake, whale skeleton, Cape Teno on an abandoned road.

In short, a lot of things, even too lazy to describe everything, one word - cool!

Liked. Definitely going with a child. Take a Twin ticket, so that later you can go to Siam Park for free - it's profitable. Show: dolphins are credited, seals are so-so, parrots are disgusting, killer whales are not for everybody (they jump out of the water, splash and nothing else). Too lazy to describe the rest, read other reviews. Much has been written about Loro.

Malvasia, El Drago tree, Butterfly Park, Garachico.

Malvasia - nothing special, the butterfly park, unfortunately, was closed. The tree is impressive in size, worth a look once. From afar, for free, to enter this mini-park with a tree you need to pay 4 euros / person. We paid and regretted. It's better to watch from a distance for free. We stopped in Garachico… As we drove in, we left, there was nothing to do there.

We went shopping in Santa Cruz on July 1st (1st day of the discount season). To stop the car looking for a place for 45 minutes. Everything is busy! Where to stand and where not to! As a result, they left in a forbidden place and left. Shopping there is so-so, even better in Thailand. For the whole day we bought one T-shirt and a suitcase.

We sailed on the ARMAS ferry to La Gomera. The tour was taken from Compass (98 euros for two). Orcs can’t go to another island with a car, it’s written in the contract. Double-decker bus, Russian-speaking guide, everything is as it should be. I liked it, you can visit. My rating is a solid 4. I recommend it for a visit.

Aquapark. We liked! Fun, cool slides. The steepest (in terms of slope) they have is the Tower of power, 33 meters in height, they stood on it for 45 minutes in order to go down in 8 seconds. Tip number 3 - try to choose the hottest day for Siam Park. Definitely recommend to visit.

Monkey park (lemur).

A zoo where you can touch the animals (monkeys and cavias) with your hands. Lemurs come to feed in the morning (as soon as it opens) - by 9:30, then they overeat and take nothing. Take with you only rare and exotic - boiled potatoes, papaya, pineapple, salad, etc. In general, the more exotic the better. Bananas, dates, corn, apples and pears have already been eaten by animals and are not taken. I recommend it even to those who come without children.

The main attraction of the island. The height is 3718 meters, in the crater there is sulfur and smoke escaping from the depths. Get permission on the internet in advance in order to be able to climb into the crater. To do this, you need 10 minutes of time and knowledge of English at the elementary school level. In short, it is done elementarily. You choose the date, time of visit, receive a confirmation code, print out this sheet and present it along with a copy of your passport at the top of the funicular. It's free! Tip number 4 - there is nothing to do without permission to climb to the crater on the Teide.

Lunar landscapes and God's finger.

Lunar landscapes - a three-hour circular route through the heat to see the crap. Lunar landscapes are not recommended, but with small children absolutely not! Tip #5 - If they say "Don't drive on dirt roads", don't listen, go where you need to. We walked around the finger of God, I liked it (about 1 hour).

The beaches are different, a lot has been written about the beaches on the internet. There, on the beaches, in fact, it’s not sand, but frayed lava rock. Were at the black La Arena. It's cool, but the people are like bees in a hive. Well, Las Teresitas near Santa Cruz (see above). In general, there are quite a lot of beaches (all small) along the coast.

The ticket did not include food, but the room had a fully equipped kitchen (there was not only a microwave, it costs 8 euros / week). So we cooked shrimp, dumplings, rice, etc. ourselves. Daily bottle of local wine for dinner. Purchased in Marchedonna and local Fruteriya. Food is food, wine is wine, nothing special. But in cafes (which are in the tourist area) the portions are really huge (at the rate of 1 serving for two). A full meal without alcohol in a cafe for two - 25-30 euros. Tip number 6 - remember the names and locations of good cafes from the reviews, because. finding a good cafe is a problem.

Cold! Clean, wavy & pleasantly uplifting.

In the summer, like ours. It's hot in the sun (but not as suffocating as in Egypt), cool in the shade. In the morning and in the evening on the balcony we always sat in sweaters. In winter, it is 3-4 degrees cooler, in the north people don’t swim in winter - it’s cold. The climate is generally good

South - stones, rocks, cacti, succulent plants. North - pine-eucalyptus forests, humidity, hanging moss on trees, a lot of greenery. The center of the island - unique landscapes (better to see for yourself). Animals are lizards and rabbits. There are no poisonous insects and animals on the island.

There was also diving, but this is so... an option. Of course, the coast of the Canary Islands cannot be compared with the Red Sea. Unfortunately, it was not possible to get into the baths of Puerto de la Cruz.

Conclusion.

I could make this story detailed and increase its volume by an order of magnitude, but I'm too lazy to write. Better ask questions. It’s definitely worth visiting the Canary Islands once, but I won’t go back there the second time. Everything we wanted to see, we visited a lot of places. Money for everything (vouchers from a travel agency + there) took 4.000 euros for two (for such a rich holiday, the amount is not prohibitive at all). Do not waste time in Tenerife thinking about where to go today, prepare in advance. Time is money. From myself: the most vivid impressions - Siam Park, Mount Teide and colored sands (Minos de San Jose); the most negative thing is the pillows in the hotel (women's stocking stuffed with padding polyester). Again, if you have any questions, please contact me by email, I will help you as much as I can
