On the administrative floor there is a reception desk, a main restaurant, an A la carte restaurant, a bar with a large hall and a summer terrace, a stand with information from travel companies, a gym, a SPA area, a massage room, a left-luggage office, toilets.
You can park your car free of charge in front of the hotel and along the entire street where it is located.
We got to the hotel around 23:00.
Even at the stage of planning a trip and searching for information about potential accommodation, we noticed that the number of reviews about Zafiro Rey Don Jaime in Russian and Ukrainian is significantly inferior to the number of reviews in English and German.
The explanation for this was found immediately upon arrival: the hotel is designed for English-speaking guests. And already during the period of residence, we determined that 50-60% of tourists are from England. There are also Germans, Spaniards, Swedes, Danes, guests from other European countries. Tourists from Russia and Ukraine - no more than 5%.
There is no information in Russian and Ukrainian in the hotel. Neither at the reception desk, nor in the room, nor in the restaurant, nor near the pool, you will find the Cyrillic alphabet familiar to us.
Despite this, the check-in was quick, as most of the hotel staff speak English very well.
They explained to us the rules of accommodation and explained which infrastructure is included in the accommodation package, and which will have to be paid extra.
Also, when settling, they are asked to present a valid bank card as a guarantee of solvency.
All additional costs at the hotel are recorded on the room and paid at check-out by card or in cash.
Of the mandatory payments, there is a tourist tax, which is 3.3 euros per day per adult and 1.65 euros per child under 18 years old.
Before traveling through a travel agency, we asked the hotel administration to provide a room on the 3rd-5th floor, away from the elevator and from the side opposite the roadway.
When checking in, all the wishes were taken into account, and we got a room on the third floor, the windows of which overlook the Globales Pionero hotel, located on a parallel street, and the Meson del Rey cafe.
Double superior room. The area is approximately 20-22 square meters.
There are extra pillows and blankets in the closet.
The chair bed is comfortable.
For small children, the property provides special baby beds (pictured).
In my opinion, the closet is a little small to accommodate the things of three people. Plus a whole shelf is occupied by a safe.
Safe rental - 3 euros per day.
If I understood correctly the hotel employee who gave me the key, the contents of the safe are insured for the amount of 2.000 euros.
The refrigerator worked silently and cooled well. Upon arrival, as a compliment from the hotel, it contained a bottle of water with a capacity of 1.5 liters.
The air conditioning system is centralized, but the temperature in the room can be independently regulated. The air conditioner worked well and quietly, the temperature control unit was convenient.
There are four free outlets, including the one in the bathroom, so I recommend bringing a tee with you.
LCD TV with a diagonal of approximately 40 inches.
Shows more than 50 channels in Spanish, English, German. There are no Ukrainian/Russian language channels.
The signal quality is good, the image is clear, the remote control is convenient.
Wi-Fi throughout the hotel is free.
It takes a little fiddling with the connection.
English-language illustrated connection instructions are available at the reception.
The speed of Internet access and signal stability, in my opinion, is the same throughout the territory and allows you to watch movies online.
Places where the Wi-Fi signal is absent or unstable are the summer terraces on both sides of the main restaurant and the SPA area.
The lighting in the room is subdued, even when all sources are turned on. It is convenient that an additional switch is located right next to the bed.
The bathroom in the room is combined. Compact. Bath, washbasin, toilet. Everything is clean, in good condition, serviceable.
The only thing that caused inconvenience was the small depth of the washbasin (no more than 10 centimeters). But this is a matter of habit.
Fan works fine.
The light in the bathroom is not very bright.
There is an additional mirror with the effect of increasing reflection.
Two towels per person. Plus one extra for the legs.
Towels are not new, but clean and absorb moisture well.
From cosmetic accessories: shampoo and shower gel in one bottle, soap, shaving kit, a small tube of toothpaste with a brush, a disposable razor, a shower cap, a comb, cotton pads for removing makeup, a sewing kit, a care sponge for shoes. All in cute packaging with the logo of the Zafiro network and in a single copy.
The shower gel has a pronounced masculine fragrance.
Towels thrown on the floor or in the bathroom will be changed during cleaning.
There is no specific time for cleaning the room: They can come both in the morning and in the afternoon. Our room was cleaned, mostly before dinner.
Cleaning quality is average. Usually they made the bed and mopped the floor. . During the 11 days of stay, the bed was changed once.
There were occasional mosquitoes in the room.
This was surprising, since not a single mosquito was seen on the street. Just in case, I recommend taking a fumigator with you.

In the recreation area on the roof of the hotel there are about 30 soft, wide, comfortable sunbeds. Half of them are under fabric canopies.
In addition, there are more than 10 bean bags.
There is also a bar, near which you can sit in easy chairs, and a toilet.
The pool measures approximately 15 meters by 3 meters and is 90 centimeters deep.
Officially, access to this recreation area is allowed from 9:00, but usually open earlier.
Vacationers are in a hurry to take their places, and by 9 o'clock there are 3-4 free sunbeds. Moreover, 70% of the places remain empty until 10 o'clock. They just have towels on them, while the tourists who have taken their places go about their business.
At 12-13 o'clock some sunbeds begin to be released.
At the same time, most places remain occupied throughout the day: tourists leave for lunch, somewhere else, then return, while towels or bedspreads are constantly on the sunbeds, making them inaccessible to others who want to spend time on the roof.
You can get to the roof by taking the “main” elevator to the fifth floor and climbing the stairs, or from the pool you can take an additional elevator directly to the roof.
In the SPA area there is a small pool with a depth of 90 centimeters, a wet and dry steam room (both are rooms measuring approximately 2.5 by 2.5, by 2.5 meters), a Jacuzzi with several hydromassage modes and adjustable water temperature, a shower, a toilet, 8 comfortable sun loungers.
The gym covers an area of .100-130 square meters.
It contains 6 basic types of simulators and a set of dumbbells with different weights.
The use of the rooftop relaxation area, spa area and gym is included in the price.
Food at a high level.
We bought the HB+ meal plan which includes unlimited drinks including three types of wine and beer for dinner.
We were glad that we did not take All inclusive, otherwise we would easily have gained a few extra pounds.
Both for breakfast and dinner there is a very large assortment of dishes, which differ both depending on the time of day and on the day of the week.
For breakfast: vegetable, cheese and meat cuts, scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with various fillings, cereals, bacon, sausages, pastries, fruits, pastes, honey, jams, several types of freshly squeezed and packaged juices, three or four types of smoothies (especially tasty - on apple juice with spinach and cucumber), cold and hot drinks, etc.
For dinner, there are always several types of meat and meat dishes, 2-3 types of fish, seafood (in salads and separately.
Most often - boiled or fried shrimp), various side dishes, salads, cuts, cheeses, sweets, pastries, fruits, ice cream and much more.
From meat - always chicken, beef, pork, often - rabbit, veal, lamb.
From fruits - constantly mangoes, pineapples, peaches, nectarines, watermelons, melons, bananas, apples, pears.
Several times a week, themed dinners are held, where, for example, you can taste more than 20 types of cheese or about the same number of pastries.
For those who arrived at the hotel after dinner (as was the case in our case), the main restaurant serves a buffet with cold appetizers, vegetables, cuts of meat and cheese, fruits, bread.
The assortment is small, but quite sufficient for a modest dinner. So, having got to the restaurant around 23:30, we did not remain hungry.
For breakfast, the restaurant opens at 7:00. Hot meals start cooking at 7:45.
On any day you can change dinner for lunch, but we have never used this service.
Our tour additionally included one free dinner at the A la carte restaurant.
The choice of dishes differs from the main restaurant and is not very large.
We chose two different salads, fish and steak.
Delicious!
Portions are big! Steak in appearance - at least 400 grams.
As a result, I admit that the food is the best in comparison with all the hotels where I have been before.
From the entertainment on site: a billiard table, table tennis (racquets can be borrowed at the reception for free), evening concerts of animators or guest performers.

About half of the vacationers are of retirement age.
This also determines the atmosphere of the hotel: the absence of constant loud music, regularity, unobtrusive animation.

Activities in the water are mostly crowded. And since the pool is small, it can be crowded.
In my opinion, the hotel corresponds to the declared category of 4 stars. We are happy with our choice!

The sea is clean, transparent, usually calm. In the first half of July, the temperature is 24-26 degrees, then a gradual increase begins.
At 6-7 o'clock in the morning, when the air is still slightly warmed up, the water seems to be, in general, hot.
The beach has fine sand. Fairly clean. Cleaned constantly, but not very carefully.
The entrance to the sea is smooth.
Near the water's edge - a zone for free accommodation, then there are several rows of sun loungers with umbrellas, and then again - a zone for free accommodation, on the edge of which there are large trees.
In their shade, you can comfortably relax even in the heat.
The beach is wide and deep. And although there are a lot of people, at any time of the day you can accommodate yourself so that no one bothers you.
The sun loungers are worn and not very comfortable. The cost is 4.5 euros for a sun lounger and 4.5 euros for an umbrella.
There are several outdoor showers, one toilet (next to the point of medical assistance, the cost of visiting is 0.5 euros).
There are no changing cabins.
On the beach you can rent a catamaran or board for skiing.
Both on the beach and near the pool in the hotel it is allowed to smoke.
