I must say right away that I did not like the hotel + Mallorca - a typical European Mediterranean, did not cause any special "shocks". Reviews about her in the "Network" - the sea.
My disappointment is due to the fact that the promises of the hotel's advertising + my fairly large experience of staying in high-class hotels did not coincide with reality. Some kind of hotel (hotel) - not appropriate... , without a five-star "zest".
I. However, what I liked:
1. All rooms - with sea view;
2. Periodic duty of a "Russian-speaking" girl at the reception;
3. Excellent work of two Bulgarian guys on duty (with knowledge of Russian) in the hotel lobby;
4. Good work of waiters in the restaurant;
5. Good selection of wines and relatively inexpensive;
6. Simple fresh buns (but not hot, as in similar hotels) for breakfast.
II. What did not like:
1. The building itself in the form of a factory building, as well as the interior design of the hotel and especially the room (see the description of the room in the hotel advertisement):
- so-called. high-tech style combined with black and white striped walls + black doors! as well as angular plumbing, it is not clear how it was installed and inconvenient to use... , a bed made of syntypon creaking and “fading” with dust...
- in the same style and the restaurant, consisting of a narrow broken corridor. It gives the impression of a railroad dimly lit eatery. If not for the veranda of the restaurant overlooking the bay. . .
Further, when the hotel has nothing special, then its face (especially 5 *) is its restaurants! But...
- cuisine: the choice is poor (even pasta and beans in tomato were sometimes present at dinner), and this is at a fairly high cost of the hotel;
- there was no a la carte service promised in the contract and in the advertisement (even at breakfast);
- no days of national cuisines! This is not Bahia Del Duque 5* in Tenerife!
- the choice at dinner is monotonous, without something special every evening. At the end of the term, the simple choice of dishes began to resemble a roadside tavern somewhere in Halkidiki. True, the guy on the grill roasts lamb ribs, duck fillet, pork, etc.
Yes, this is not even a Tunisian hotel of the same category for you with a cheese dessert for 10-15 types of cheeses or Greek hotels, which I don’t like, with pig or stuffed lamb for dinner as a hot dish with “Swedish” abundance, with which there is an additional menu service .
Breakfast is tolerable, but just as monotonous, the only “consolation” is the preparation of an omelette in front of you. Thanks for not being an Italian continental breakfast;
- few seafood, 2+ in quality (a couple of times there was a pelvis with lobsters, cut in half, in tomato sauce! Before that, they, apparently, were dried for several weeks, because there was practically no meat in them, not to mention it the taste would not be dishonored... , the fruit could be rotten, papaya in limited quantities;
- the practical absence of a separate restaurant, some kind of transparent nook for 4 people at the entrance to the common corridor-restaurant, where they cook something Japanese on the stove in front of you (this is in Spain! )
- the territory is modest in size and flora (this is not Turkey for you), but it’s true, it’s good for Mallorca that at least there is such a beach, sun loungers on a rocky terrace, entry into the water along a metal stepladder from coastal rocks, not every lady will be able to go through the entry procedure and exit from the sea, especially when rough;
- no Turkish evening entertainment or live music at dinner (a mournful saxophonist walked a couple of times). It seems that this is not a hotel, but a through hotel, where the residents are on their own, and the staff is on their own;
- until 23.00 every evening throughout the territory from an empty "piano bar" some kind of Negro monotonous jazz bombing on tom-toms was carried throughout the territory + the smell of cheap fish fried in burnt oil with delivery to your room;
- on Fridays - Saturdays: receptions and weddings with "buzz" under your window until late at night;
- neither fruit and wine for you upon check-in, nor farewell sweets for you upon departure (although, according to the reviews of friends who visited this hotel in July, all this took place);
A trifle, but this is one of the best, as advertised, hotels in Mallorca - there is no vase of sweets or fruit at the reception... and there are many such trifles.
Probably, the close end of the season had an effect, which caused the staff to cool down for cleaning, and the hotel administration to conscientiously work out a lot of money paid by hotel customers!
I hope that my review, together with the advertising of the hotel, will be useful.
Findings:
1. The hotel is original, not typical....
2. Apparently, he works out his level during the season (June - August);
3. As my more than 10 years of experience shows, September in the Mediterranean is very unstable: it can be cloudy, it’s cool in the morning - there is no desire to swim before breakfast, you won’t have dinner on the veranda in the evening (it can be cold, the sea is stormy, it rains sadly);
Thanks for reading....
I apologize for the negativity, but whoever is warned is armed!
