Malaga is a great place to stay
It was not the first time in Spain, but in the Malaga area for the first time. I really liked Malaga and the resort nearby - Torremolinos. Convenient communication along the coast by train, combined with the metro. 2 conveniently located stations in Malaga and many stations along the coast (didn't even use the bus). In Malaga itself, you can find entertainment for everyone: there are excavations and a fortress, the Picasso Museum, and simply beautiful architecture, as well as a large park with outlandish plants and flocks of parrots, a pleasant promenade for evening walks, a large number of branded Spanish (and not only) shops and outlets, and cozy streets with small cafes, as well as a clean city beach, a little away from the port. And all this is located quite compactly. We spent 2 nights in Malaga itself, and then moved to Torremolinos, but we also came to Malaga for shopping a couple of times. By the way, I want to explain about taxi-free at Malaga airport. Checks should be noted before check-in for the flight, and the money-back point itself is located after inspection to the left of the large dutik with wines and products (if you stand facing it). But keep in mind that the tax-free cashier may allegedly run out of euros (when the refund amount is more than 100 euros), they offer dollars at a low rate. There was no queue at the checkout. From Malaga it is still convenient to go on excursions to Granada, Seville, Cordoba or Ronda from the bus station in the center. You can also buy an excursion tour in one of the bureaus (there are special tours for Russian speakers), you can order an individual tour or a transfer from home via the Internet. In Torremolinos, which then smoothly turns into Benalmadena, there is a wide beach strip and an excellent promenade along which there are a bunch of small cafes and restaurants. There is a choice for every taste and budget. The only small minus for bathers is that the water here is quite cool. we were at the beginning of September, the air temperature was about 30, and the water, God forbid, reached 20 degrees. . . extreme! There are very few swimmers. And in the evening in the center of Torremolinos, excellent concerts were held on the stage, you could listen to music and dance a little near the stage. With great pleasure we watched elderly Spanish couples dancing flamenco! Complete delight) In general, we are very satisfied with the rest, we would love to fly again, but the road is a bit expensive compared to the region around Barcelona.
