We stayed at the hotel in September 2018. The hotel is located at the end of Torrox (more precisely, the place is called El Morche) on the side of the coastal highway. Near the bus stop, small shops, other hotels, various cafes. To the center of Torrox 3 stops by bus (on foot 40-45 minutes). 2-3 minutes to the sea, just cross the road. The beach is large, small-pebble, black, municipal. Entry into the sea on unpleasant stones (about 2-3 meters, then sand), but gently sloping. There are showers on the beach. The beach is cleaned by tractors every morning.
The rooms are standard. In our room (focused on a double) there was a double bed and an extra bed, an armchair, a table, two bedside tables, a chair, a wardrobe, a safe, a TV (66 programs, mostly Spanish), a large loggia (they were on the second floor, the floors above were small balconies), toilet combined with bath, hair dryer, bidet. Cleaning was done every day, towels changed, bed too. Of the minuses, I note that the view from the window onto a blank wall, the safe is not working (most likely they are included for an additional fee), the absence of a refrigerator. For the view from the window to the street, behind which the sea was visible, an additional fee of 20 euros per day. But the view there is not "so hot", so it's not worth such an overpayment.
WiFi is decent enough and available in the rooms.
There is an elevator. On the fourth floor there is a bar, slot machines and a fairly deep pool.
The staff is nice and welcoming. There were no special problems, so I can’t say anything about efficiency and problem solving.
Eating area on the first floor. Breakfast is plentiful (not American), buffet! Cold cuts, cheeses, fruits, cereals and muesli, jams, buns, drinks, eggs in various forms, sausages, cereals. I have no complaints, but the people complained about what is repeated every day (it seems to me that the people are spoiled).
Dinner. Buffet. Delicious. Meat, fish, salads, seafood, stewed vegetables, sweets, ice cream, you can’t list everything. The menu changed from day to day. Drinks for an additional fee... And all this for 7 euros!
As a conclusion: a solid hotel, fully corresponds to three stars (even a little higher). I don’t presume to judge the declared 4 stars, since I didn’t taste all the delights of the services, but the view from the window and small balconies are somehow embarrassing. But I can quite agree that according to the minimum requirements, it can be attributed to four stars. I like it!
