The hotel itself has a large area with beautiful landscape design. On the territory there are: 2 swimming pools (adult and children's paddling pool), a pond with turtles and fish, as well as flower beds and palm trees.
You can get to Marbella by taxi (about 11 euros one way), by bus or walk along the beach (from the hotel "Los Monteros" to the center of Marbella - 1 hour and 15 minutes walk).
Rooms. We lived in a room of about 40 square meters. m, bright and pleasant, well furnished, comfortable wardrobes, large bathroom, balcony. Cleaned in the room in good faith.
Service and staff: very good. The staff are polite, attentive, very friendly, respond to all requests immediately.
composition of visitors. We can say that Los Monteros is a respectable hotel according to European standards. Basically, the Spaniards live in the hotel, there were also French, British and Germans, very few Russians. Couples and companies of middle and older age prevail. The influx of families with children begins in July, when European top managers start their holidays.
Nutrition.
Healthy and tasty food: a large selection of vegetables, fruits and herbs, cold soups (including gazpacho), good fish dishes, paella for dinner every evening. Desserts deserve special attention - they are simply divine! Drinks are free only at breakfast, at lunch and dinner - for a fee (a bottle of water costs 5 euros).
Beach. Walk 10 minutes to the beach through the village. The path is very pleasant, through the territory of the village of Los Monteros. The beach is public, but near Los Monteros there are few people on the beach (not like in Marbella or other places on the Costa del Sol). Only on weekends the beach is filled to capacity with Spaniards who come with families and companies and put their umbrellas, tents, etc. on the beaches. There is a beach club "La Cabane", which belongs to the hotel, there are umbrellas, a pool and a spa. For the club "La Cabane" you have to pay separately. The pool and sun loungers on site are free, this pool is very good.
The Spaniards practically do not swim in it (they either just sunbathe or dip for 5 minutes), so there are few people in the pool. The sea is cold in June, but swimming is very good. For small children, it's just fine: at the entrance to the sea there is a large strip of shallow water, so the waves are not strong, and swimming is safe.
Animation. Practically absent. There are yoga and water aerobics classes near the pool, as well as group classes in the fitness club in the morning, but 2-4 people took part in them, or no one was involved at all. On Friday and Saturday there is live music in the restaurant.
Fitness. The fitness club is frankly weak and this is perhaps the only drawback of the hotel: a couple of tracks, an exercise bike, only four weight machines. The club has no air conditioning, stuffy. The fitness club is only open from 9 am to 1 pm (! ). In a word, there is nothing to do there, and those who are used to playing sports can only run along the sea. But there are tennis courts on site.
The most memorable beach club La Cabane. The restaurant offers a lunch buffet of local specialties, seafood and deli meats. Breakfast is a buffet with champagne, fresh raspberries and strawberries. Simply delight how delicious! The staff is pleasant and caring, there are Russian speakers, as well as Russian TV. We recommend to everyone!
