Spoiled vacation at the Pineda Palace 4*. Settled in the room late for 45 minutes, and even then, until we started to resent. There is practically no soundproofing in the room, cleaning is done very badly (even 1 euro does not help), they save ridiculously on detergents: when they saw that we bought soap (because there was not enough soap and shower gel), the staff stopped replenishing stocks in general - we are faced with this for the first time! In the room, ants run on the table, on the bed, and even at night on the body.

The staff in the restaurant are mostly unfriendly, especially one Angela. But the worst thing happened on the day of departure. In the morning we handed over the room, put hand luggage next to the reception. While we were literally distracted for 3 minutes, weighing our luggage (the scales were also nearby), we were brazenly robbed of a backpack with valuable things for us: insurance, medicines, Tax free checks, a Sony video camera, a Philips electric shaver, an iPad - in total about 3000 Euro! Worst of all, the stolen iPad contained several hundred photos of our trips to Spain and the French Riviera, as well as family photos dear to us. Most of all, we were shocked by the complete lack of reaction of the hotel staff to what happened. They GENERALLY refused to help us with anything. Despite my pleas, my tears and requests to immediately call the police in order to catch the criminal in hot pursuit and return the things, the hotel employee named Cyril silently held out a map of the city, poked it with his finger - they say, go on foot to the other end (! ) of the city to the police and file a complaint. We insisted on calling the police immediately, and in the end, Cyril said that he called her, and the request to meet with the director of the hotel refused. After that, he left. After a while, he came out and said that the police would not come, that we had to go to the station ourselves. After we found the police station with great difficulty, it turned out that no one had called them from our hotel. Those. not only refused to help us, but also deceived us! The police reluctantly accepted the statement and clearly did not intend to go to the place to take evidence from the video cameras in the hotel lobby. We returned to the hotel, because there was time before leaving for the airport, and we noticed that the staff stopped noticing us at all. Medicines were hastily bought at the nearest pharmacy. Needless to say, in what emotional and physical state we returned home! In fact, our vacation was ruined. Before us, no one not only did not apologize - they did not express the slightest sympathy or even regret!
The conclusions are obvious - the hotel doesn't give a damn about us, and even if they kill us right at the reception desk, they won't even raise an eyebrow! The police are not called - the reputation of the hotel is above all! For the same reason, tourists are not warned about theft in the lobby. Undoubtedly, the hotel lobby is under surveillance by criminals who, knowing when the departure from the hotel is taking place, hunt for luggage.
And if anything, stomp yourself to the police!
We were in China, Turkey, Greece and other countries, but we did not expect to face such disgrace in a 4-star (! ) European hotel. We have been insulted and humiliated! My husband's and my health deteriorated due to stress. We still cannot recover.
Never even cross the threshold of this vile hotel!

At the H TOP PINEDA PALACE hotel we rested as a family with a child of 12 years old two weeks in July 2013. The hotel was chosen for several reasons: 1) The travel agency said that the hotels in the H Top chain are all good. 2) A few years ago we had a rest in the neighboring Santa Susanna, (also in 4 stars), and we really liked it.

two weeks in July 2013. The hotel was chosen for several reasons:
1) The travel agency said that the hotels in the H Top chain are all good.
2) A few years ago we had a rest in the neighboring Santa Susanna, (also in 4 stars), and we really liked it.
3) Next to Pineda Palace - a train stop - it's convenient to travel to Barcelona and on your own to Montserrat.
4.4-star hotel inspired confidence.
There were pluses and minuses in the work of the hotel, but even with a high positive, the minuses outweighed.
The staff is polite and smiling, cleaning every day.
Restaurant: The waiters in the dining room are working hard, they are sweating hail, but there are very few of them for a large flow of tourists. For lunch, and especially for dinner, it is better to arrive on time, otherwise you can stand in line at the entrance to the restaurant for 30 minutes. The tablecloths are white, but the quality of the food is simply unacceptably ugly.
Let me illustrate our opinion with an example: For two days at breakfast, a large dish was served with quarters of lemons, which rotted, covered with green-blue mold and in places turned into a shapeless porridge. People who wanted to drink tea with lemon came up, but when they saw this, they jumped back. The staff did not notice that they offer the guests of a 4-star hotel rotten.
Rooms: small, the back side overlooks the wall of the neighboring house, but on this side it is quiet, and children can sleep. Pillows - the thickness of a fourfold folded diaper, it is impossible to sleep on them. We approached the reception five times over three days, asking them to bring extra pillows to our room. They smiled at us, promised that they would bring it now, and only three days later we received them.
The mattresses are as hard as bare plywood, with pieces of darkened old foam sticking out of holes. If your back did not hurt, then it is likely to hurt from such a mattress.
Blankets look like in a Soviet hospital. According to the norms of the hotel, one blanket is issued for two people. No more allowed.
Dust on the curtains, in a thick layer, like winter powder, lay over me for two weeks. If anyone has an allergy, then it is dangerous.
About the "amenities" in the room: the bathroom is not locked at all - there is no latch on the door. We have to negotiate with everyone who lives in the room. Inconvenient, especially if you have children with you.
On the second day of our stay at the hotel, the elevator broke down - it stopped stopping on the fifth floor. For two weeks it was still not fixed. And although there are three elevators in the hotel, they were not enough - a lot of people.
Additional paid expenses:
The fridge in the room is locked, the price for its use is 3 euros per day, or 42 euros for 2 weeks. Internet in the hotel is only paid - 5 euros per day or 10 euros for 3 days. The signal quality is below average. The safe in the room costs 56 euros for two weeks.
We paid for it upon arrival, but it turned out to be faulty in our room. They only fixed it on the second day. The cost for the 1st day was not returned. The smiling receptionist, with whom we only spoke sweetly in English, when I said that we paid one extra day for the safe, since it did not work, unexpectedly got nasty in Russian, and practically sent.
The beach is across the road and railroad tracks. You can go to the beach through the underground passage. This is not a problem, the trains are very quiet. The sea is clean, but in July it was cold.
We really liked Spain, Catalonia, and the town of Pineda itself is also charming! But after spending two weeks in this hotel, we sincerely would be glad if someone would stop us from choosing this hotel.
Trying to “survive” this four-star European “divorce” with humor, we decided for ourselves that Pineda Palace is a hotel for ascetic relaxation and the realization that without food, comfort and the Internet, you can still live and enjoy beautiful Spain.

Good day everyone! I want to share my trip to Spain on the Costa Brava, the Pineda Palace Hotel **** in the town of Pineda de Mar. Somehow I used to be somewhat skeptical about hotel reviews on the Internet, i. There were reasons for that, but not this time. For this hotel and the town as a whole, all the reviews read were completely true.

I will be objective without exaggerating.
Positive points: the hotel is quiet, the main visitors are Germans, French, British, Spaniards and Russians (there were few of the latter, or maybe we got into such a race), the hotel is located on the first line from the sea, the train and pastime places for citizens and tourists - all a stone's throw. Several spoken languages that are in use are Spanish, German (more than half of the town's population lives in Pineda), and of course English. On the roof of the hotel there is a swimming pool (adult and "paddling pool" for the little ones) and a bar. Almost the entire set for swimming can be purchased 10 meters from the hotel (masks, fins, snorkels, boards, circles, mattresses, goggles, swimwear, etc. ). At the reception there is always a Russian-speaking hotel employee who can give quite intelligible answers (an ardent fan of FC Barcelona). The work is well done with the attached guides and the organization of excursions. I also liked the work of the animators, both with children and in adult-children's teams. There is no noise from discos at all. there are none. I would like to note that it is better to buy a bonus card at the reception for service at the restaurant upon arrival, it will be much cheaper than buying drinks at the bar at lunch and dinner, especially since a lot of alcohol (wine and beer) on the card is at a zero price, not to mention already about soft drinks such as Coca-Cola Sprite or Fanta.
Exciting moments: at the entrance to the hotel, the “air conditioner” did not work in our room and the balcony door did not close with a latch (it’s also a lock) (I fixed the door with a knife and a toothbrush in 10 minutes, and the called master (who came h / h day) brought everything to normal working position). The restaurant's cuisine is extremely specific, there is very little "edible" for our taste and stomach, although the citizens of the united Europe "crack" all this with obvious pleasure. There are practically no places in the town where one could wander around and see local sights - a purely residential area, with a monotonous cafe and shop strip along the coast. My son and I rented bicycles and we traveled almost the entire town in search of interesting places, but alas, there were none. The beach, in principle, is not bad, but the constant wind from the sea abundantly brought all kinds of garbage to the coastline. For room upgrade (ie sea view or city view) 25 Euros, they also try to charge 25-40 Euros for TV remote control.
Thus, who wants a quiet "vegetable" holiday, then Pineda Palace (4 stars) is what you are looking for, but at the same time you will need to think about your variety of food (but not in the cafes of the town, because the food offered there is made from semi-finished products or from heated "freeze", and of extremely dubious quality. After visiting one of them (after that we stopped the experiments), we had to announce a toilet day in our family. This hotel does not correspond to its declared 4-star status. But in principle, it is quite suitable for quiet rest at night in between excursions and beach holidays.

Of the minuses: the food is not very good, you can not smoke in the hotel restaurant. From pluses: cozy territory, all rooms with balconies. There were no problems with guides and excursions (pah-pah-pah). Met on time, everything is clearly debugged, very nice people. Everyone told - how, what and how much. Port Aventura is a fairy tale! Honestly, I thought it would be worse. There was preparations for Halloween in full swing. Very nice. And then by bus to Andorra. There we lived in Escaldes, Phoenix Hotel 4 *. This was just great!! ! Furniture, food, service - just 5+. Attitude as to tough businessmen... Well, except that they didn’t bow at their feet. Very nice. Generally
rested very well.
