We chose a hotel two days before departure (it was necessary to be in time for certain dates) from what it was. We took this hotel because of the location and positive reviews.
Perhaps the positive reviews are due to the fact that people have not been to good hotels. But we, accustomed to high-quality Egyptian 5 *, were slightly shocked upon arrival (yes, we knew that it was 4 *, but the price was not much cheaper than for 5 *). The staged photos of the hotel were taken a long time ago and do not correspond to the reality of today. In general, this hotel is more like a large, multi-storey, wooden cottage by the sea. And also, if you are older, the hotel may remind you of Soviet boarding houses. And now about the rest of the impressions point by point:
1. Location. Everything is fine here, right next to the sea, 100 meters from shopping streets, restaurants and other entertainment venues. Beautiful views from the shore and especially from the roof, where the pool is located on the bay and mountains. Excellent results, as bloggers say, "Instagram" photos. But there are no views from the dining room, even though it is located on the very shore, as it is closed from the sea with a dirty film (wind protection). The same story with an open area on the second floor, where evening discos are held.

2. Food. Well, this is just the case when you won’t stay hungry, but don’t look for frills either. The chef is well done, trying to squeeze the maximum variety out of a meager set of products. True, the secondary processing of products is too noticeable. Seafood. . . if you consider them fish of the level of tilapia, cooked in different ways, then probably they are. There are not many fruits, but they are sweet... Desserts are surprisingly all edible. "Strong" alcohol in the dining room of different colors and names, but the same taste (you can drink, but not much). The wine is tolerable. Beer is poured from bottles. But in the bars, the cocktails are surprisingly good (although they made different ones near the pool, but there was only one view on the beach). We went on excursions, they gave us excellent lunch boxes, at the level of expensive hotels.
3. Numbers. Old, dead, according to the furniture such a hello from the 80s, but everything is holding up, it works. Very high audibility through the front doors, it feels like they don't exist at all. There is a working safe (free of charge), kettle, hair dryer and TV. Refrigerator is dead. From products, tea, coffee, a bottle of water per person per day (bring regularly). Beach towels are changed every day (bring to the room after breakfast). Shower accessories change as needed. Cleaning is normal.
4. Staff. This is the property of this hotel. Welcoming, friendly, always trying to help. When the janitor passes by in the dining room every time you wish you a good appetite, it's worth it. Money does not beg. The manager himself delivered and took out our suitcases.
5. Animation. In addition to evening discos was not noticed.
6. Livestock. A hungry cat, impudent sparrows and an arrogant crow in the dining room.
7. Beach. A small strip near the hotel, but there are a lot of free sunbeds (perhaps because the shade is half a day). They said that you can go to the beach of a neighboring hotel, but we were kicked out of there. There is a stationary pontoon, to which they come from different hotels, and by the way, no one drives them. So you can swim normally only from it, as it is deep. And from the beach, waist-deep as far as the buoys. There is NO reef near the hotel. There are 5-6 species of fish fed by tourists. They said that if you walk along the beach for more than a kilometer towards the Tropitel hotel, then there seems to be a reef there.
8. Pool. There is only one and it looks big in the photo. It's actually just a big hot tub. By the way, the water is heated well, to the state of "fresh" milk. The ladder staggers, the gratings fall off.

9. Shopping. There is a public pharmacy with fixed prices next to the hotel. At the beginning of the shopping arcade there is a fixed price store Fix Price (because of it, by the way, the prices in other stores are not very high and the sellers either immediately say a low price or quickly take off without much haggling).
10. Covid-19. Some of the staff wear chin masks. Check the temperature at the entrance to the dining room. And that's it.
Conclusion. The hotel takes 50 percent of the cost for the location, views and hospitality of the staff. Who is the hotel recommended for? Families with children - absolutely not. Youth - only if you plan to hang out all the time outside the hotel (which by the way is practically non-existent at all). Recommended for the elderly, couples and people who will only use the hotel for overnight stays while traveling in Egypt with excursions.
