Chose this hotel for value for money. According to the reviews, it was clear - this is what we need: calm, comfortable, affordable, especially for the first visit to Egypt.

The check-in went wonderfully, we arrived at night, the transfer delivered to the hotel closer to midnight, we were promptly issued, sent to the room, they came to ask if everything was in order, everything was fine, they brought dinner to the room (very tasty french fries, sauce, fish, vegetables, fruits, sweets, buns, water). Everything, quickly, politely, benevolently, at the same time, no obtrusiveness.

They gave a family room (2020), not far from the reception, where there were two beds: a large double bed and a smaller bed next to it. We were two adults, we didn’t need a large room, apparently, we arrived at a time when there were a lot of free rooms, so we were immediately given a good room, without additional surcharges. And in general, in the future, we did not pay extra for anything, there was not even such a question.
The balcony in the room overlooked the roadway, the noise from the cars did not interfere, the traffic was weak on the roads, and the balcony was closed, as the air conditioner was working (properly) and mosquitoes flew in. There is a place on the balcony to dry wet things, there were chairs, a table, an ashtray, very convenient for smokers.

In the room itself, everything was also quite comfortable, floor lamps, tables, bedside tables, a wardrobe, clean bedding, a kettle, cups, coffee, tea, a TV (they turned it on once, it works, but we didn’t we had our own on a flash drive, but we were not very upset that we did not watch the films, since there was no time left for this). The bathroom was a little dirty, the toilet bowl and the sink were poorly washed, but everything worked fine, standing shower, clean, in principle, towels (I saw a little unwashed remnants of brasmatic on one of the towels), I didn’t see any terrible dirt, although I very picky about cleanliness.
In general, everything is not very new, a little dusty, but not critical.

We left a dollar for tea every day for the cleaner - and it was clear that he was trying, he even twisted swans and a heart out of towels for us once)). We spent little time in the room, only to spend the night, because, in fact, in the end we were satisfied with it and its service.

The next day I had a meeting with the guide John, I will say right away that all the terrible things that I read about hotel guides have nothing to do with John. He only told us brief information about local procedures, about the hotel, with whom and how to solve certain issues, of course, he offered excursions, but the guide did not have any negative reaction to people's refusal to take an excursion, everything was calm and friendly.

We, and another family, took from the guide a comprehensive excursion to Dahab (150 bucks for two) for the whole day called "Sea + Safari" or "All Inclusive", which included sailing on a yacht with stops at coral reefs for snorkeling, ( lunch on the yacht was also very tasty, with seafood), diving (very cool! ), Bedouin camel riding, quad biking (husband was delighted)). The tour is amazing, as for me, the Bedouins even treated herbal tea))). Thanks to John and all the other organizers! Dry rations were still given to us before the tour in the morning, John ordered).

We didn’t stay at the hotel for a long time, animation didn’t interest us, so I can’t say anything about it, I only know that it was there, because one evening we decided to spend a couple of hours by the pool and animators came up to us inviting us to all sorts of events, but we didn't take part.
The pools, by the way, are clean, the water is not cold, in the evening there were few people at the pool, we liked it.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner at the hotel only in "La Princess". There was enough food, the choice suited us. In the morning there was always some kind of milk, cereal, pancakes, falafel, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, soy sausages, rolls, croissants, any other pastries, cheeses (delicious), vegetables, herbs, fruits, coffee / tea and other drinks (yupi , cola, sprite, etc. ). For lunch at the hotel, the choice of food is large, but we dined mainly on the beach, there is a smaller selection, but we were full. There was also meat (chicken, goulash, grilled), there was also fish almost every day, side dishes (rice, potatoes, pasta), there were vegetables, fruits (melon, oranges, apples, persimmons), sweets, dates. At the bar on the beach they took beer, it was good from bottles, draft, - not very much.

Dinner, of course, is the most varied and nutritious. For dinner, we were spoiled with very tasty sweets, the confectioner did a good job!
And the rest of the cooks tried very hard, when you come up to take something, they always put food on a plate with a smile and virtuosity, without regret (regardless of whether you are an Arab or not, the attitude towards everyone was equally friendly, Ukrainians and Arabs were in hotel 50/50 somewhere). We "tamed" the waiter Mahmoud, who brought us drinks every evening, Mahmoud always knew what we were drinking and how much, he tried, because every evening he received tea from us)). They drank only red wine from alcohol, similar to our, not very expensive Ukrainian wine. Haven't tried the rest.

The hotel area is quite large and green, palm trees, well-groomed shrubs and lawns, clean and bright buildings, the workers are trying here, and it is noticeable. The only thing is that the Russian language is poorly understood, it is easier with them in English.

Beaches.
The hotel's sandy beach, like the coral one, is not very close, we walked once, for the sake of interest, then our journey took almost an hour one way. But this was not a problem for us at all. If desired, we signed up for buses to the beaches, or took a taxi for 2-3 dollars. There are a lot of taxi drivers, and everyone is bargaining, so if you are offered a ride to the beach for 5 bucks, you can safely bargain up to 2-3.

The sandy beach is a bit dirty (namely, the entrance to the sea), but we liked it, because the beach infrastructure is very compact, everything is at hand, it is convenient to dine on the beach. We tried a hookah, we liked it, the guy did a good job, $ 5 (there is also a hookah in the hotel bar - $ 3, only bad that it was impossible to pay in the lobby bar by bank transfer when we ran out of cash). The sea is warm, the bay perfectly protects from the winds, and it was warm even early in the morning and late in the evening.
We found ourselves in a period when there were not very many people on vacation, so we didn’t stand in any queues anywhere, and no one interfered with us to swim and swim, take pictures, either.

I also liked the coral beach, but it is not very convenient, as for me, the dining room is far away, the toilet too, everything is somehow more randomly scattered around the territory. The entrance to the sea from the pier, we had enough to see enough corals and fish, we bought a mask right there, at the hotel, from Jack, and swam along the corals, the underwater world of the Red Sea is simply mesmerizing!

By the way, we did not use paid Wi-Fi at the reception, it was inconvenient. We bought from the same Jack, a seller at the hotel, a SIM card "Orange", and the Internet was enough for me and my husband (I gave him the Internet). You can, if you wish, buy a SIM card somewhere cheaper, because Jack’s is expensive, and sellers usually don’t bargain at hotels, so if you need something urgently, you will usually find it there.

Outside the hotel, we also visited the Old Town, went for souvenirs on our own, in the evening it is very busy and there are a lot of people, so it’s better not to go alone, even though the police are patrolling there. They also took us on a free tour of the city a little, they brought us to shops where we didn’t buy anything, they took us to the territory of the mosque, where they weren’t allowed inside, but you could walk around it, they took us to the Orthodox Coptic Church, they let us inside and even told a little church history. we also went to Il Mercato Square on our own, drank tea there in "Little Italy", visited the Fares seafood restaurant (very tasty, we liked it). In general, there is something to see, it would be time and money. They also wanted to go to Soho Square, they say it’s beautiful and interesting there, but they didn’t have time to go there.

We never had problems with digestion, but even when we first arrived, not far from the hotel, along the road, we spotted a pharmacy.
Thankfully, I didn't have to apply.
We saw a lot of crows and local cats, they made us happy, they are not afraid of people, we fed everyone and took pictures). But it’s better not to touch it with your hands, why violate the personal space of animals? )

When we left home, at night, we were also given dry rations, and, finally, again, the staff showed their best side when I lost my bag with things - everyone who was at the reception helped me look for it, no one was indifferent and did not leave us indifferent. That is why I recommend Xperience St. George Homestay, a great option for a relaxing and picky holiday, which we initially arrived with a positive attitude, and the holiday for us was a success as we wanted! Thanks to everyone who tried for us, we want to go to Egypt again! ))
