I heard about their tips at every step, in general, no one asked for anything, and there was not even a hint. Room cleaning every day. Bed linen - every other day.
Restaurant - hot dishes, salads, cakes are always fresh (the last time in Turkey I did not like the fact that leftovers from lunch were mixed and served for dinner). Fruits - oranges, melon, tangerines, pomegranates, dates.
At the entrance - security, no strangers are allowed. The staff are all wearing masks. Checked in without problems, even ahead of time.
The director of the hotel often came, he personally checked the waiters in the hall, the readiness of the food, the pool, etc.
Animators are fresh positive emotions. Especially the animator Dima, so much strength, positive. Always kind, sympathetic, without imposing, if you are tired, and what kind of discos do they arrange! Dima is a super host! Super DJ! The team is friendly and humorous! Thanks a lot!
Only 2 more days left and I don't want to leave. If you have any questions, write. I will answer.
Do not want to repeat, read the previous review of visitors!
We did our own rest, since we had already got there - we went by taxi, ate from the supermarket, looked for beaches.
Food is scarce (dirty dishes, which were always missing, were launched in batches, potatoes and pasta, lime and cucumbers are the main food, meat was given out in pieces).
The beaches are a quiet snake - everything is broken.
Sunbeds, umbrellas, toilets, cleaning! Transfer is a separate issue - two buses for 60 people, and 200 who wish.
It used to take 4 flights to the beach or from the beach, which is about 2 hours. We left at 9 and hit the beach at 11. And already at 12 the first bus back. Tin. Fights. Screams. This is not the third line, but 23! To the beach by bus 20 minutes.
Settlement Ibrahim took $ 20 and changed at 10.00! The changer said I don’t know anything, but after 4 hours of being at the pool in sneakers without a bracelet, we were settled and returned $ 10. Room tin cleaning tin. Photos will attach all real and mine!
Do not look without tears. Swimming pool, sun loungers, umbrellas, slides - everything is dirty broken, oblezshoe and traumatic.
We arrived early in the morning, we were at the hotel at 7 o’clock. We didn’t count on early check-in, but, unlike previous visits to Sharm, we weren’t even immediately given bracelets and weren’t allowed to have breakfast (having said that we only had lunch in the price) - not fatal, but unexpected. Early check-in, even for an additional payment at the reception, was refused (we had a mother with 3 children in the group who arrived, she tried to negotiate). They said that everyone will be settled after 13.00. For suitcases, too, they did not allocate any space, they offered to leave it right in the hall. They said you can go to the beach without bracelets - there will be no questions. There are two beaches - paid EL Fanar for $ 3 for each entrance (if not from the hotel - the entrance there is $ 6) and free in the bay near the "Old City" (the penultimate one in front of the port). On Fanar bus at 10.15 (walking minutes 40), for free at 9.00 (walking about an hour). By 8.30, people with beach accessories began to gather at the exit of the hotel, from whom we learned that the bus would soon be "stormed"... When he (the bus) drove up, the crowd was no longer small. Everyone rushed to the door, not observing any queue and not paying attention to the children. They were crowded (everyone, of course, without masks), the driver started yelling in Arabic, a hotel worker came and started kicking out those who were standing (they say now the police are watching to drive only in seated places). Those who did not fit turned out to be no less than the "lucky ones" who fit in the 1st entry, and the hotel worker said that in 10 minutes there would be another bus. Looking ahead, I’ll say that waiting for the 2nd bus trip is at least half an hour, or even 40 minutes, because. the beach is very far away (and the road is still being repaired), so one way is 15-20min. drive! . .
Beach - Shit! Firstly, there is not only this hotel, but also the Old Vic (and they are brought earlier), there are not enough sunbeds, there is a war for them. Sunset is sandy, there are no corals, no fish, the corral is separated by a rope of 20-30 meters - enjoy it! If you swim outside, the "lifeguard" starts to whistle, and all sorts of boats, plates, bananas and boats are there one on one. The stench of gasoline and an oily iridescent film on the water completed the picture. . . If you don't know how to swim, then you will probably like it there, but if you came to Egypt to watch underwater beauties, then you are clearly not here. If you walk along the shore to the right for about 10 minutes, there is a military base at the top, a shore littered with garbage (both tourists and warriors - even some rusty tanks have some burnt ones), but there are already at least some corals and living creatures.
In general, they made it to the bus. They didn't fit into the 1st, they kicked us out of the 2nd (they said it was for the Old Vic, not for Verginia). We left at 3m after waiting 40min. in the sun, because they were afraid to go somewhere in the shade, so as not to fit in this one.
We arrived at the hotel, immediately received bracelets and a key to the room. We immediately ran to the dining room, because there wasn't much left before the end of dinner.
Meals are standard all days of stay - rice, pasta (always) and potatoes or something else from time to time. Fried fish (the same), grilled chicken, sometimes some sausages. Salads, oranges from fruit almost every day, once there were dates, 3-4 times melon and pomegranate (well, you still need to manage to get all this, because they take out a little and immediately dismantle it). Plenty of pastries, but nothing special. Tea, coffee, chemical drinks - fanta, etc. Beer in small plastic cups. As for the rest of the alcohol, I won’t say - they didn’t drink... For breakfast, only scrambled eggs and fried pancakes are edible, for which there are always huge queues, because. fry it all in 4-6 pans...
SETTLEMENT - found your room, there are 2 single beds in the room (we have a ticket 2 + 1), a child is 8 years old. Before that, other hotels ALWAYS had 3 beds (either immediately or delivered), even when the child was 4-5-6 years old. Here, having returned to the reception, we received an answer that your tour does not provide for the presence of a 3rd bed. And in general, in the evening there will be a meeting with your guide - all questions to him. In the evening, the guide did not decide anything (and did not decide, his business was to sell trips at triple prices), he said that in 2 + 1 tours the presence of a 3rd bed is at the discretion of the hotel. Well, let's go somehow to be accommodated, upon closer examination, the bedding turned out to be not changed - with someone else's hair and dirty spots. We returned again to the reception, explained, said to wait - they would send a cleaner to us.
p. s. there were a few more like us - both by the presence of beds in tours 2 + 1.2 + 2, and by dirty bedding.
The cleaner came and started to change the sheets. They explained to him that it was necessary to move the beds, because. there are 3 of us, and 2 beds. He said that he would now bring the 3rd bed (f*ck why they couldn’t do this at the reception, I don’t know... ) In general, they gave him $ 3 in the end and everyone was happy.
The room, in principle, is normal - air conditioning, a balcony, a safe, a wardrobe, bedside tables, an old TV set and a refrigerator. Large enough, even with an extra bed it was not cramped.
CLEANING. We were 11 days. Bed linen was not changed, towels too. The floors, if washed, were not particularly noticeable. In short, all the cleaning consisted in twisting figures from towels.
Water was given only on the 1st day - a 1.5 liter bottle for 3, then they were filled in a cooler in the dining room.
There is NO Internet, although they presented some 2 tickets for 2 free days of using Wi-Fi, but in fact it does not work at all. Therefore, if you need Internet - buy a SIM card.
On the territory there is 1 swimming pool and 3 slides, and for the very young ones there is another "paddling pool" with a small slide. Large slides include time: from 10 to 12 and from 15 to 17.
PAID BEACH - beautiful, there is something to see in the water, but the bus is not convenient in time (at 10.15 and 14.30) and the ticket is not for the whole day, but for one visit (i. e. go to the hotel for lunch and you won’t be able to return ).
LIFE HACK. In a 15min leisurely walk (to the left of the hotel) there is Reef Beach. Quite spacious and you can see the fish. Entrance there is $3. But for the OldVic hotel (it's across the street from Verginia), they sell tickets there at the reception for $ 1.5. The first time I went there myself and bought tickets, the second time they refused to sell, saying that it was only for their guests. I had to ask a vacationer from this hotel to buy tickets for us (we immediately bought the right amount so as not to go back and forth anymore). In general, we spent most of our vacation on this beach, walked at any convenient time, and after lunch you can return to the beach without paying again.
Several times we went to the paid EL Fanar (before lunch), because. after lunch, the sun quickly hides and there is nothing to do there (in the autumn-winter period). After lunch, you can go for a free ride and from there take a walk to the mosque in the Old City (there is nearby), well, from there to the hotel by taxi or on foot, whichever is more convenient for you.
There are many restaurants, fruits and souvenirs. Also, in smaller quantities, but with the same assortment, there is a similar one closer to the hotel on IL Mercato and on the next street (near the water park) there is a Mango store (with fixed prices and the possibility of paying by card) and on stalls nearby.
Animation. From 20.30 to 21.00 - children's (the same), but the children like it. Then from 21.00 to 21.30 some competitions for adults - karaoke, guess the melody, hotel mister, etc. At the weekend they invited "belly dance" and "skirt".
TOTAL - if you come across an inexpensive tour, then you can go and adapt. Similar problems (perhaps not all, but partially) are present in all budget hotels in Sharm. And in general, Charm grows weaker every year - more and more abandoned hotels, more and more garbage and dirt on the streets and beaches, less and less interesting reefs and living creatures... But the opportunity to return to the summer for a while still outweighs (for me personally) everything minuses. Now charters with Russia have been resumed, perhaps this will help Egypt get out of the devastation.
Check-in: we arrived at about 6 in the morning, we immediately had to pay $ 30 extra for the settlement.
Territory: small, not to say that everything is tired, but not freshly renovated.
Room: as for Egypt 4 stars even good, everything worked, cleaning and change of towels every day at no extra charge. We recommend taking a room not by the pool, because there is a disco in the evening and noisy.
Meals: breakfast is weak, salad and pancakes, omelettes, the rest is not very good.
Lunch and dinner are good, the food is varied and tasty.
No cocktails, gin and cola or sprite with ice.
Of the serious shortcomings, there was one morning and one night the sewage stank throughout the hotel.
Staff: good, polite. One person settled at the reception nihilist, the rest were well treated.
Beach: free and paid good coral $2 per person. take 2 times a day.
I recommend: excursion with diving to the white lagoon (taken near the hotel), it is very beautiful there.
In general, it’s good, but this is not Turkey for you)
We arrived at El Phanara beach (but not the one that was previously, they didn’t explain anything to us at the hotel, apparently they didn’t even know), we had to climb the mountain and go to the lighthouse, followed by our beach. The beach and coral reef are good (we saw a lot, there is something to compare with). Why do I describe for so long, so that the attitude of the hotel employee towards us would be clear. The bus that was supposed to pick us up from the beach did not arrive, and in order not to be left without lunch, we went by taxi. Upon arrival at the hotel after lunch we were settled. The rooms are known to us, nothing has changed for the better, they require a lot of renovation. The wife saw the bed, was horrified, the bed was dirty with traces of sweat and hair, only one sheet. Apparently the Arabs lived there, it suited them. The electric door lock of the room was so dangling that it was about to fall out, the safe in the room did not work. We filmed everything on a smartphone and went to communicate with the administration, the linen was changed, the safe and the door were subdued (it was influenced by the fact that I showed the owner the video).
It seems that the hotel is not ready and was not going to accept Europeans, when I went to the bar during lunch and asked for alcohol, the bartender replied that alcohol was chargeable and left somewhere. In the evening, when meeting with the hotel guide, we asked to find out why we are not given alcoholic drinks if we have all inclusive. The hotel guide assured that, according to the concept of the hotel, they should give alcoholic drinks and provide a bus to the beach. Looking ahead, the bus did not pick us up from the beach for three days, while the owner of the hotel and all the staff smiled sweetly and wondered, ". . . how did everyone say so to the driver, but he did not pick you up. " Despite the described facts, we had enough optimism not to spoil the rest. In general, everything that I wanted to tell. In general, the rest, despite everything, I think it was a success. The food is normal, as always, in previous years, maybe they began to give less fruit, they gave delicious chicken, beef, fish, etc.
The food immediately seemed meager, but after the arrival of a large number of tourists, it became better. There are no snacks at all and it made me happy, the children fully ate 3 times a day. The food is delicious, there is not much choice, but there is always fish and one or two types of meat, there are more side dishes to choose from, soups, oatmeal for breakfast. Very tasty fish and feta. Sweets as usual in Egypt. Fruits - melon, oranges, tangerines, dates, grapefruits and other local names we do not know.
The beaches are not very good, but there are two of them, the coral El Fanara, there is a pier, and there is an entry from the sea, but rocky, you won’t swim much. Sandy near the Old Market is not bad, but pleasure boats park there, sometimes it is impossible to swim. We went to the paid beaches of Faraana, in Naama Bay.
There is practically no animation, which we were glad about. Territory - just super, in the form of an amphitheater. If you like silence - ask for a room away from the pool.
The attendants are polite and unobtrusive.
The pool is not heated, but the water is warm, the territory is well closed from the wind and the pool is located, as it were, inside the amphitheater.
The territory is compact, well landscaped, cleanly cleaned. Throughout the hotel you can feel the level, without pathos and pretentiousness, everything is noble and dignified.
There are no complaints about the number. Cleaning was done every day. Towels are also changed every day. The first three days we were provided with free internet, then 3 days for $2/person.
Nutrition during the quarantine period has undergone drastic changes. The range of dishes has become much smaller. But these changes concern tourism in general, and not this hotel. From the list of provided dishes, you can make your choice. The food is fresh, well prepared. The bar did not have light alcohol, namely wine. It's not scary, they managed with those drinks that were available.
I really want to highlight the work of the staff. All the guys are smiling, helpful, very friendly. None of you are squeezing "one dollar". In general, I would like to note that Egypt has grown great in terms of service and attitude towards tourists over the past 4 years. Less and less "wildness" more and more restraint.
Oh, yes... you need to write about the shortcomings too. I don’t know if the location of the hotel on the third coastline can be attributed to the shortcomings. Buses carried tourists regularly and punctually. But we, three active mature women, preferred to go to the beach (and sometimes from the beach) on foot in order to maintain our physical form. It took us 40 minutes to get to the sandy beach.
We were quite satisfied with our holiday. Being mature people and having a fairly rich experience of travelers, we believe that cleanliness, friendliness, quality food and good treatment are worth much more than a huge territory, tons of inedible food and rivers of some special (non-local) alcohol.
PS Another nice bonus: the hotel has a spa where you can get a course of massage and other procedures. Considering the long and cold evenings of winter Egypt, this is a big plus.
Thank you Virginia!
They settled immediately, brought food to the room, since we arrived after dinner.
There is a water park, three slides, the pool is not large, without heating, it’s normal to ride from the slides, it’s cold to swim.
In the room Cleaning is good, Towels are changed every day, the hotel workers ask every day - "How is the cleaning, is everything okay? ".
By food: already very tired from the 4th day, monotonous, relatively tasty, but the assortment is not large, rice, baked potatoes, (mashed potatoes, in a rural way), Pasta, vegetables, chicken a day on the grill, a day in batter, each fish day, kebab-type cutlets, sweets are the same every day, delicious pancakes and scrambled eggs for breakfast.
From alcohol and drinks, whiskey, vodka (most likely diluted), Sprite, Cola, Fanta, real, not powdered.
There is no animation, from 19 hours they turn on music, you can sing karaoke, dance, that is, you can make a disco for yourself, put on the music you ask.
Come to the meeting with the guide on time, our carrier was Coral Travel (Odeon), we were late for 7 minutes - he left (his name is Ahmed) without waiting. They provided incorrect information about the flight back, they said that they would be picked up from the hotel at 5.15, as a result, they waited for the bus until 6.20.
The rooms are normal, rather big, but everything is not new, scratched in places, worn out, but we are only there until sleep, so it doesn’t really matter, specifically for me, a new renovation, a large room, etc. The room has a safe and everything was in order. Take only necessarily from Mosquitoes, as their darkness even in winter. The location of the rooms is good, we had access to the pool; due to the small area - close to both the reception and the restaurant, each has its own veranda (very few rooms without it)
The staff is friendly, courteous, greet, smile.
There is a spa salon, the girls are great, they try, they do massage not badly; it is convenient that you can also lie down in the sauna and on the stone after the massage; Hamam, jacuzzi, there are several exercise machines, 7 pieces, free of charge;
Said makes discounts, as a result, you can get pleasant procedures for a good price. In summer, I probably wouldn’t take it, but in winter I even wanted more warmth in the evenings.
For excursions:
1. We climbed the mountain of Moses, it’s cold there, Warm socks, take a blanket and Water with you so that you don’t buy expensive things there. And get ready that it’s not an easy road there, not only is it dark at night, but also over stones, the higher, the more delicious it is to climb and the steeper the descent.
2. If you are going to the islands on a boat, then socks, and from the wind are a must, because you immediately take off your shoes there and everyone walks barefoot, on all floors.
On the beaches: he takes a bus to two different ambassadors, one is pure sand, it’s generally cool for children, not deep and soft both on the shore and on the water, there is a Pier, you can jump from it. But there are practically no fish there, we saw a few of everything. The second is the cool El Fanar beach with a very beautiful reef and a wide variety of fish (you shouldn’t even go on other “promising” walks after it.
Have a good rest and good mood)))
Minuses:
The food is the same.
Only one bus per day for one time only.
Fruit freezes in the refrigerator.
Pros:
Beautiful area, friendly staff, clean.
From the reception, a porter picked up our suitcases (this was clearly not required, because the suitcases are on wheels and it takes 10 steps to walk), brought them to the room, showed where the bath was (otherwise they probably wouldn’t have found it)), and stood at the exit and stood tugging curtain))) I ask - is there anything wrong with the curtain? )))... In general, everyone wants their dollar)
There is Oksana at the reception, she helps a lot in all matters
Territory
It is not big at all, roughly limited to one pool, around which the rooms are located (Total 150 rooms). Walking in this hotel is unrealistic, because. nowhere. But, nevertheless, the territory is cleaned, everything is clean, tidy, trimmed, etc. It's nice to be on the territory! The pool has slides, normal, work! There is also a bar there, with local alcohol and soft drinks, bottled beer (there are with red labels, it tastes nasty like fortified and there is a stella. apparently how you smile and they will pour it). There is no coffee machine in the hotel. There is also a minimag, you can buy some chips, the price tag was not broken at all! Animation is present, they try as best they can, quite!
Buses to the beach
Nutrition
Strongly paint will not. Based on the price of the hotel, the food is quite adequate, there is not much of it at all (the assortment is not strong), but the quality and taste are normal! There was no such thing as “well, at least find something edible to somehow stuff your belly. ” Egyptian standard breakfast (eggs, pancakes…), lunch, dinner - 2 types of meat, side dishes, vegetables. There is no coffee machine, coffee in some teapots . .
I would say this is a kind of budget hotel after which it will not ache in the chest for the money thrown out - it is quite consistent with its money - without shock shocks in the rooms and dining room. And all this was very surprising, because. drove strongly with caution after reading the reviews and looking at the rating! As they say - expect the worst, then there will be an opportunity to be surprised)
There is no Internet in general, take a SIM card at the airport
In general, as always, everything is filmed in detail on video and you can see everything with your own eyes.
