In Egypt as a whole for the first time, so there is nothing to compare with Egypt. We went with my wife and a child of 4 years for 10 days from March 6 to March 16.2013. We were lucky with the weather, the first days were quite windy, and by the end of the holiday it became warm even in the evening, in the last days we even used air conditioning. The water is tolerable +22 +23, when there is no wind and waves, you can dive just fine, there is something to see, the underwater world is beautiful, the water is crystal clear.
Insurance:
out of 10 days, probably more than half were sick, so I had to use insurance and local medical services. They brought him to the place of examination, examined him and prescribed treatment quite quickly and "almost free of charge". So feel free to use it if necessary, but of course it is better not to have such a need.
Nutrition:
I don’t know how it is in other hotels in Sharm, but judging by the reviews of other hotels, the food in Sultan is good. This is certainly not Turkey for you, but pretty well. There is a choice, although not much. Sets are repeated from day to day. For example, I ate the same thing all the time, choosing the best set for myself))
Service:
There is nothing to complain about, the service is cooler even than in Turkey, sometimes it is so flattering that it is even sweet)))
"Good morning, friend" and "how are you, is everything okay? " you will hear all day from everyone several times)))
The room was cleaned every day, everything is clear, the water was replenished.
The attitude and service is equally good regardless of whether you leave a tip. The same applies to restaurants, waiters will run around you even if you don’t leave anything. We left tips every other time for a couple of bucks.
Rooms:
we had a family room with a double bed and 2 singles, a nice big room close to the infrastructure. When settling, they gave 50 USD, they didn’t give it in vain, the room is not bad. settled quickly (were evicted by the way, too)
Entertainment:
at first it seemed that we had arrived at an elite boarding house for elderly Europeans))) but then in the evening young people with children appeared, so the hotel is more for a family vacation. Mini disco in the evening, then animation for about an hour and a half. The animation is different, a couple of times it was decent, which was really interesting to watch. Of course, the child always liked the minidisco. The animators are great, they work from the heart)) and they don’t let you get bored on the beach either.
Summing up:
The hotel is good for family and not very active holidays, the food is not bad, the hotel itself is very beautiful, everything is thought out to the smallest detail, it is already well settled in, everything is debugged, the staff tries to please you in everything. We can safely recommend the hotel to young parents, and just couples too. There are few Russians in the hotel, so not everyone here knows Russian, it is better to speak basic English, but this applies to Egypt as a whole.
