We have vacationed in Egypt many times. We fly for the sake of the underwater world, snorkeling and underwater photography. We chose Siwa because of Sharks Bay, a beautiful reef, first line and reasonable price. We expected the food to be bad. We were pleasantly surprised. We chose Siwa because of Sharks Bay, a beautiful reef, first line and reasonable price. We expected the food to be bad. We were pleasantly surprised. The room they gave us was excellent, very close to the sea, not many people, the food was delicious, the staff was friendly.
We got everything we wanted from the Red Sea. In the evening we went for a walk in Soho and on the avenue near Siwa, near the neighboring White Hills and Meraki hotels. Such shows were shown there! We were delighted!
One big minus for us personally is the lifeguard on the pontoon. We swim far and long. He demanded from us a certificate from the reception that we could swim like that! It turned out that this was hotel policy. The person who gave this certificate was not always there. On the 3rd day we received it, but the rescuer spoiled our nerves. There was almost a scandal.
The holiday was great, we recommend Siva to fans of the underwater world and a relaxing holiday.
We dream that we will quickly defeat the orcs and be able to fly to Siwa from Boryspil.

From vegetables - cabbage, from fruits - frozen melon cut into cubes and unripe dates. Twice in 10 days (after the scandal) they gave me oranges for lunch!

Canteen - feeding at the level of a standard "troika". There is no choice at all. Breakfast is "groundhog day" - stale pastries, fried eggs, falafel, beans, potato cheese / cheese / sausage and pancakes on the water. There is nothing else to eat, and so every day. And one more thing - take your coffee with you, because what they pour there is slop. They pour a little bit of coffee into a huge jug of boiling water, and IT'S stupidly transparent. The entire holiday drank only tea. At the bar there is a Deshman horn-shaped coffee maker, the price of which is UAH 700, for a cup of such "coffee" you will have to pay $ 2. For the rest of the food - everything is standard. You won't go hungry, but don't expect frills either. In the evening, barbecue, cakes and mini pizzas are prepared. There is beef, chicken and fish. On the beach, you can grab a hamburger and fries for lunch if you don't feel like going to the canteen. And, I almost forgot - the dining room is very dead and a flock of sparrows lives there, with which it is all crap. And, of course, they eat wherever they can eat - from racks, from containers at distribution, from guests' plates - they are not afraid of people, they swoop in in a flock and devour. It's the same story outside. And before that, the staff does not care! So I do not advise you to leave plates of food unattended.
Bars - only give two small glasses per person. Beer is poured into half a glass of foam. You ask for more - he presses or begs for money, periodically rude in Arabic. They didn’t react, immediately defiantly stood at the end of the queue and poured two more, then poured into their container, since the bar is not on the beach, but on top, and you have to run back and forth, which is very tiring. Beer on the beach is always warm. Everything is better at the Piano Bar.
The beach is good, there was enough space. Specially settled on the second level, so as not to lie like sprats. The beach is being removed. The pantone is short and comfortable. The reef is beautiful.
In general, what can I say - a hotel with great potential, but brought "to the handle. " Nature partially compensates for the shortcomings of the hotel, but not to such an extent as to come here again. For this price, you can choose a lot more interesting options. 2. What can I say about the room: judging by the reviews, by 11:00 we were really given a very good room by the standards of the hotel, because it was relatively clean, there were beach and shower towels, soap and shampoo, a flat-screen TV , and most importantly REFRIGERATOR and HOT WATER. Apparently this is a huge rarity. According to the hotel guide, 10 percent of rooms with refrigerators! But everything is so old and worn out. But if you do not pay attention to this - everything worked, did not crumble. In general, we were lucky with the number.
3. Canteen: yes, this is a canteen, because It's hard to call a restaurant. Dirty, the staff puts the forks and knives (this means 2 things: firstly, the table is free, secondly, where were these knives and forks before). Tables, chairs killed to death. The food is so-so, we were not hungry, but also no pleasure. Potatoes, rice, beef, chicken, eggs, pasta, soups, vegetables, pastries, fruits, drinks in any quantity. But the staff gives out. We didn't row everything, we took what we knew. There are a lot of dubious salads, such as vermicelli-sausage-tomato-cabbage)))) It seems that they mix what they didn’t eat last time. Feta is very tasty, pastries too. And, a separate respect to the mangalshchik, he didn’t do it very badly! But no frills. Gourmets in the hotel have nothing to do.
4. The hotel itself is located on the first line, there are a lot of terraces, photo zones, a 3-level beach. The building was once pompous, it is clear that when it was built, it still thought of 5 *... But since then it seems that nothing has ever been repaired, and it is already 15 years old. Everything is very old, shabby. There is an acute shortage of personnel on all lines, from cleaners to cooks with bartenders. It needs to be tritely washed, furniture replaced at least in the lobby, bars and canteen - and there will be sweetie, but apparently the management is banal rednecks. Therefore, there is no one to repair, to clean up qualitatively. The room was never cleaned for 7 days, the bed was not changed, towels too. Toilet paper was taken directly from the cleaners (and it will take a lot, because the water there is radically different from ours). But the staff itself, which is available, is very positive, positive and responsive !! ! Compliments, jokes. In general, the staff is super, although they plow for 14 hours a day.
5. The beach is a separate issue. The greediness of tourists is simply amazing, because they spread their towels on the sunbeds in the morning, on some they lie untouched until the evening. If it weren't for this goon, then there would be enough space for everyone. Not everyone lies on the beach all the time, someone leaves, someone comes. It was annoying. Sun loungers are also from the time of the construction of the hotel. But!!! ! The sea itself is wonderful, the reef is beautiful, the fish are cool!! ! We had a lot of fun with this! So don't forget masks, snorkels and other fins! There is no wind, no waves, in this respect the hotel is located chic!
HACKS:
- near SOHO square, 15 min walk. There are a lot of discos, restaurants, a singing fountain, and most importantly, there is duty free, for which you have 48 more
hours after arrival to skimp. One passport can buy 1 bottle of alcohol and 2 packs of cigarettes. Open until 23:00.
- alcohol in the hotel is rare G, so bring it with you or buy it in duty free.
- you definitely need a fumigator and sprays from mosquitoes, they will gobble them up in an hour !!!

The tour started with 25 pieces, fell a week before departure to 21, they took that much, then it was 19, but this is not worth the torment without hot water, for the same money we rested in Hurghada in May. We were checked in at 17:00, there were still people waiting at the reception. The room is spacious, overlooking the sea, two beds but very "tired", not normally cleaned, all towels were wet. In further conversations with vacationers it turned out that our room is not the worst.
We put 2 beds in a pile, but when we heard that one mattress smelled like some "cat urine", we all turned back and slept on one (the 2nd was enough for us). On the beach, too, heard talk of a smelly mattress.
The sea, fish, corals - beautiful. Sunset from the pontoon. The pontoon is one and the stairs on it are one, all the time there were queues to come and go out of the water. There are not enough sunbeds for everyone, you need to borrow from 5:00 to 6:00, at 6:30 everything is already busy (this also applies to the pool).
The hotel area is large but needs care. Construction is underway, we have not heard any noise from it.
Dining room - a large dining room with constant queues. There were not enough tables, dishes, napkins. It is clear that the staff is trying, but they are few. The choice of food is not great, the food is the same, all 7 days are the same. Trouble with fruit, but desserts and bread are delicious. There were no problems with drinking water, you can take in the bar bottled 0.65 liters.
During all the days of rest I did not hear any positive feedback, only complaints.
Room was cleaned once, towels and bed linen were not changed. Those who have been here before have said that it used to be better.
There is nothing to do with children there.
