Rested at Sharm Grand Plaza Resort 5 * recently, from August 11 for 11 nights. Before the trip, naturally clambered a lot of sites and read a lot of reviews. The most interesting thing is that I am ready to agree, both with those who left a negative response, and a positive one.
Really very beautiful territory, a lot of greenery, flowers, etc. in general, a landscape designer - offset. Great beach, there are places at any time, the only thing is if they cleaned it better. Several not very large pools, but near them you need to take places in advance. The sea is standard for this area of Sharma, corals, a small pontoon, a lifeguard is on duty on the pontoon, who really controls the bathing process. Many have written about the current making it difficult to swim, but I didn't notice anything (at this time of the year), although I'm not a good swimmer, I didn't have any problems. The reef is good, a lot of fish, the pontoon was almost always open. By the way, for those who can't swim there is a small paddling pool, during high tide it's very good. We had a Superior room, a large room with good furniture, a spacious balcony, in general, there are no questions here. There are questions about cleaning, they don’t want to change linen every day, shampoos and gels are updated with a creak. All Russian-speakers are indeed mostly lodged in the farthest building 6. Here it is a matter of taste, to go to the sea, of course, the farthest, but peace and quiet, no animators and night discos under the windows.
Now about nutrition. Because it raised the most questions. Claims are not even about the quality of food, but about its infrastructure and organization. Two restaurants, one of them looks like our usual canteen, the second is ok, but guys, there are queues in them (this is my third time in Egypt, but this is the first time I see this). There are several bars by the pools and on the beach, everything seems to be standard there. The only thing that surprised me was the lack of direct access to soft drinks. If you want to drink forfeits or cola, you have to bow to the bartender, and then he will pour you (I see the same thing for the first time) and ice cream, popcorn, fruit for a fee. The bar in the lobby is a completely different story - it is paid!! ! That is, you can’t drink coffee or tea calmly outside the restaurant for free. The food is basically standard, there is no special variety of dishes, but they will not let you die of hunger either. But I managed to get poisoned (again, for the first time), I wasted myself for two days. Local pastries are beyond praise, but this is in all hotels.

In general, the hotel is specific. In a conversation with us, a representative of TEZtour noted that in his opinion this is not 5 * and personally he would not recommend this hotel to us. I was in a positive mood and didn’t bother with trifles, so I had a good rest. There will be questions, ask.
