In October 2009 I had a rest in “Royal Albatros Moderna 5*” Sharm el-Sheikh. For me, the hotel is so mediocre, although I don’t want to be like the whiners from the forums, which is either not so, or not so. Just comparing with the hotel of the same line “Albatros Palace Resort 5 *” Hurghada, where he rested a year earlier, these are two huge differences in all respects in favor of the latter. Although I am satisfied with the rest, firstly, because I love Egypt, and secondly, I try not to bother with trifles. For me, Egypt is primarily the corals of the Red Sea and, accordingly, snorkeling. For those who travel to Egypt for the first time, especially Sharm, I advise you to carefully choose a hotel, in particular its beach. In many, there is simply no sea in our understanding. This is a wide strip of shallow water to the reef line and very often the entrance to the sea is only from the pontoon, and there is a cliff and depth, and of course beauty, although not everyone is probably interested in it. But agree to go to Egypt to lie down by the pool or stupidly roast on the beach like on a spit, it’s not worth it, it can be done much closer. Why I draw attention to this, I just witnessed how, on the second day of their stay, two married couples turned to representatives of TEZtour with the question, where is the sea. The “Royal Albatros Moderna 5*” has a very long pontoon, but there are more, in the middle there is a descent into the paddling pool, where at high tide it’s quite good, you can swim with a mask and watch the fish. The main reef is a good mass of different fish, but for those who swim poorly, you need to watch for excitement, so as not to blow away from the pontoon. The water in the Red Sea keeps it capitally, but climbing ashore along the corals, it’s still a pleasure, believe me, I checked it personally.
