Were in Melia Sinai from 23.01. 15 to 30.01. fifteen.

We went with an adult daughter - a pleasant little company in all respects. I wanted to feel how it is in winter to get into summer. The hotel has been in mind for a couple of years, because this is the Red Sea, Sharm el-Sheikh, which means there are beautiful coral reefs and fish - this is, firstly, and this is the most important thing, and secondly, the sea there is a little warmer in winter than in Hurghada and less windy, and Melia Sinai is even less windy than even neighboring hotels. All this was confirmed during the rest. Before the trip, the weather forecast and the temperature of the water in the sea were monitored all the time. It was the first vacation in the winter and there was no experience yet - but how should it be? After a rest (we were, as you can see, at the end of January 2015), in order for the weather to be comfortable for swimming and sunbathing, the air temperature in winter should not be lower than + 27 * C during the day and + 18 * C at night. The water temperature in winter in Sharm does not drop below + 23 * C - and this is acceptable.

The sun in Sharm in January rises earlier than here in Kyiv: at 6.30 it’s already light and immediately warm - you don’t have to wait until 11 o’clock until the air warms up, as we thought at home. Go straight to the sea, do exercises, smile at the sun and a new day. When you meet, all the staff, without exception, smile at you and at least know how to say in Russian: “How are you? Good? ".
And things really are “GOOD”: the sea, the sun and the friendly smiles of those around you.
So benevolent that we, who are not used to such openness and responsiveness in our latitudes, were a little surprised, but quickly got used to it and responded in kind. This "was noticed" by our businesslike, responsive, executive cleaner Ayman.
We lived at Villa Benghazi on the ground floor in room 3004, where instead of a balcony there was access directly to the terrace and lawn, overlooking the rock garden and the sea. The restaurant equipment buzzed a little, but very evenly and not intrusively.
Buses were almost inaudible, although the villa is located near the flowerbed where they turn around. They offered us to pay extra for the best room, but we settled in the first one, which we were offered at no extra charge.
At the restaurant we ate on the terrace. It was possible inside, but on the terrace it is more interesting.
We swam in the sea before lunch 3 times. We take masks with snorkels (you can not take slippers for corals - there is nowhere to walk in them), plug your ears with silicone earplugs, go through 125 pieces of pontoon tiles and into the sea! +23* - not hot, but normal. Buoys are fenced with a strip of water to the left of the pontoon and we sail along this strip. On the left are the reefs, the height of the water above them is about 1 meter (when the tide is even lower), almost no one swims there, and on the right there is a great depth (they say at least 30 meters) and we admire the almost sheer wall of the reef and its inhabitants. The beauty! Especially in the morning, when the water is clearer and the fish are not scared.
Apart from the Tyrant, it is cheaper than the others. Tiran within walking distance to the beach. Their beach, although small, is cozy and everything is there. They are carried by an open bus, but you can also walk.

We walked along the walking path along the hotels: Melia Sharm, Baron, Sensatori (in ascending order of “coolness”). In Melia Sharm, a pontoon 300 tiles long and a red flag hung all the time (compare: Melia Sinai and Tiran have one pontoon 125 tiles long, about half a meter each). The waves are higher, longer - windy. It’s good to sit on their pontoon, swing on the waves, and go swimming to your place. True, no one forbids them to come to us in Melia Sinai to swim. In other hotels, it is also windier than ours, and, well, much more expensive. There are only foreigners in Sensatori and there are no tours from Kyiv at all. We have mostly Russians and Ukrainians, but the atmosphere is very calm and everywhere pleasant native speech, the people are calm, cultured. Many families came with babies.
In the Baron, in the shops you can buy gifts for your family. There are shops in Melia Sinai, but few.
Rest: weather, sea, reef, service, food are satisfied. But driving in winter is quite risky - you need to follow the forecast (+18-+27*C, wind up to 5m/s). Rain in Sharm is not a hindrance.
The mosquito flew in alone and was slammed down without a fumigator.
It seems everything.
It's a pity there is no plan of the hotel. We were afraid of accommodation near the amphitheater and in vain, since there are no events in the evenings in winter. Animation is held in the lobby bar, as it can be cool in the evening. A long-sleeved blouse will not hurt on walks. The jacket didn't work out. Evening animation started at 21.30, but we "dropped" to sleep at 21 and could not admire it. They agitated to move it earlier, but after dinner, children's animation is carried out first, and an adult - after it.
