Hi all!
We chose the hotel without exaggeration for about half a year. Once or twice a week, they sat down and read reviews on different sites, watched photos, videos, in general, shoveled all available resources and a week before departure decided to fly not to Turkey, where tours were chosen all the time, but to Egypt, despite the warnings, there is nothing to do in July. We stopped at the GAFY RESORT hotel. Our journey began with the words of the guide who carried us - "I love your hotel, it's very good" ...
1. Location. Perhaps the best in Naama Bay. Of course, there are hotels closer to the Naama entertainment center, but at prices more expensive than GAFY by 500-1000 dollars per person. In general, the names of Hilton and Maryot speak for themselves. Walk to the center of Naama 10 minutes. Taxi - 5 Egyptian pounds - a little less than a dollar. Opposite the hotel - McDonald's, Starbucks cafe and a small shopping center. The hotel is on the first line. From the farthest room to the sea, walk 2-3 minutes.
Sharm Airport is 10 minutes by bus. Over the hotel during the day and in the evening for an hour or two, planes fly at a fairly low altitude, which land at Sharm airport. They did not interfere with us, but on the contrary it was interesting to look at the airlines and the flight number (they could be seen from the ground)! : )
2. Territory. Compared to a good Turkish 4-room, in which I had a chance to relax last summer, the territory is huge. : ) Five swimming pools, bars, relaxation center, large and clean beach, manicured lawns and palm trees on the territory. In general, I won’t say that you can walk around the territory for a long time, but there was no feeling of a sprat in a jar at all. Very cute and cozy. The beach was always full of empty seats. Entry into the sea from the shore, but there are also pantones. Fish and corals are mainly on the sides of the beach and at a distance of 50 meters from the shore. There are many additional services on the beach, from catamarans to glass bottom boats.
3. Nutrition. Excellent.
The first couple of days there were no salads, only vegetables. But then they corrected themselves, and 3-4 types of salads appeared. Very tasty rice, fruits are fresh and very sweet. Dates, figs, grapes, watermelons, melons, apples, and oranges—it was all there. The meat was also varied and was present in the morning, afternoon and evening. Drinks are not diluted, but poured directly from the bottle in front of you. For those who do not have all inclusive, drinks only in the morning. We simply collected watermelons and melons for ourselves, and “washed them down” with these fruits. : ) But if you want, you can upgrade to all inclusive for $15 per person per day.
4. Numbers. Immediately at the reception, we were offered to upgrade the quality of the room for $ 20. Since we had previously heard that simple rooms in this hotel were too modestly furnished, we decided to pay and did not regret it. The room has a large bathroom, the view from the balcony is partly to the sea and mountains, but mostly to the territory and pools.
The room is equipped with a large plasma TV with 3 Russian. Channels, hair dryer, refrigerator, telephone and safe. 2 single beds turned sideways, moved together and got a King size bed : ). The room was cleaned regularly.
5. Entertainment. Animation in the hotel — SUPER! ! ! SUPER! ! ! SUPER! ! ! Really became friends with the guys animators! In the morning - warm-up, water aerobics, dancing, performances in the evening, or competitions, and every night group trips to discos. All animators speak Russian, 2 girls are Russian. The animation is not vulgar, or rather, moderately vulgar (the Arabs looked calmly), so children are allowed to enter. As for discos - the animators will find out in advance every day where what kind of music and prices. We liked the disco at the Hard Rock Cafe the most. Like all over the world, 80% of visitors to this institution are Americans, British, Italians. The atmosphere is super, the music too, so we advise everyone to go there at least once.
